Што было ад пачатку, што мы чулі, што бачылі вачыма нашымі, што разглядалі і да чаго дакраналіся рукі нашыя, пра Слова жыцьця.

We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning,a whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life.

І жыцьцё зьявілася, і мы бачылі, і сьведчым, і абвяшчаем вам гэтае жыцьцё вечнае, якое было ў Айца і зьявілася нам.

This one who is life itself was revealed to us, and we have seen him. And now we testify and proclaim to you that he is the one who is eternal life. He was with the Father, and then he was revealed to us.

Што мы бачылі і чулі, абвяшчаем вам, каб і вы мелі супольнасьць з намі; а нашая супольнасьць — з Айцом і Сынам Яго Ісусам Хрыстом.

We proclaim to you what we ourselves have actually seen and heard so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.

І гэтае пішам вам, каб радасьць вашая была поўная.

We are writing these things so that you may fully share our joy.b

І вось тое абяцаньне, якое мы чулі ад Яго і абвяшчаем вам, — Бог ёсьць сьвятло, і няма ў Ім аніякае цемры.

This is the message we heard from Jesusc and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.

Калі мы кажам, што маем супольнасьць з Ім, і ходзім у цемры, хлусім і ня робім праўды.

So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth.

А калі ходзім у сьвятле, як Ён у сьвятле, маем супольнасьць між сабою, і кроў Ісуса Хрыста, Сына Ягонага, ачышчае нас ад усякага грэху.

But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

Калі кажам, што ня маем грэху, падманваем саміх сябе, і праўды няма ў нас.

If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth.

Калі вызнаем грахі нашыя, Ён верны і праведны, каб дараваць нам грахі і ачысьціць нас ад усякае няправеднасьці.

But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

Калі кажам, што мы не грашым, робім хлусам Яго, і слова Ягонага няма ў нас.

If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts.
