Пра тое, што было́ ад пача́тку, што мы чу́лі, што ба́чылі на свае вочы, што сузіра́лі і што рукі нашы крана́лі, пра Слова жыцця́, —

We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning,a whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life.

бо жыццё явíлася, і мы ба́чылі, і све́дчым, і абвяшча́ем вам гэтае жыццё вечнае, якое было́ ў Айца і явíлася нам, —

This one who is life itself was revealed to us, and we have seen him. And now we testify and proclaim to you that he is the one who is eternal life. He was with the Father, and then he was revealed to us.

пра тое, што мы ба́чылі і чу́лі, абвяшча́ем вам, каб і вы ме́лі супо́льнасць з намі; а наша супо́льнасць — з Айцом і Сы́нам Яго Іісусам Хрыстом.

We proclaim to you what we ourselves have actually seen and heard so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.

І гэта пíшам вам, каб ра́дасць ваша была́ поўная.

We are writing these things so that you may fully share our joy.b

І вось тая ве́стка, якую мы чу́лі ад Яго і абвяшча́ем вам: Бог ёсць святло́, і няма ў Ім нія́кай це́мры.

This is the message we heard from Jesusc and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.

Калі мы ка́жам, што ма́ем супо́льнасць з Ім, а ходзім у це́мры, то мы хлу́сім і не робім паво́дле íсціны;

So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth.

калі ж хо́дзім у святле́, як Ён у святле́, то ма́ем супо́льнасць адзін з адны́м, і Кроў Іісуса Хрыста, Сы́на Яго, ачышча́е нас ад усякага граху́.

But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

Калі мы ка́жам, што не ма́ем граху́, то ашу́кваем саміх сябе, і íсціны няма ў нас.

If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth.

Калі вы́знаем грахí нашы, то Ён, ве́рны і пра́ведны, праба́чыць нам грахí нашы і ачы́сціць нас ад усякай няпра́ўды.

But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

Калі кажам, што мы не саграшы́лі, то ро́бім з Яго лгуна́, і сло́ва Яго няма́ ў нас.

If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts.
