Сымон Пётра, раб і Апостал Ісуса Хрыста, да тых, што атрыма́лі роўна з намі шматкаштоўную веру па Волі Бога нашага і Збаўцы Ісуса Хрыста:

Simon Peter, bondman and apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have received like precious faith with us through [the] righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ:

Багадаць вам і мір хай памножыцца ў пазнаньні Бога і Ісуса, Госпада нашага.

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in [the] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

Як Божаю Сілай Ягонай дарава́на нам усё для жыцьця і багабойнасьці праз пазнаньне Паклікаўшага нас Славаю і Цнатою,

As his divine power has given to us all things which relate to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us by glory and virtue,

якімі дарава́ны нам вялікія і шматкаштоўныя абяцаньні, каб праз іх сталіся вы ўдзельнікамі Божай прыроды, ухіліўшыся ад гніеньня ў пажадлівасьці ў сьвеце,

through which he has given to us the greatest and precious promises, that through these ye may become partakers of [the] divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

дык вы, прыкладаючы да гэтага ўсё стараньне, пакажыце ў веры вашай цнату, у цнаце ж — разважлівасьць,

But for this very reason also, using therewith all diligence, in your faith have also virtue, in virtue knowledge,

у разважлівасьці стрыманасьць, у стрыманасьці цярплівасьць, у цярплівасьці багабойнасьць,

in knowledge temperance, in temperance endurance, in endurance godliness,

у багабойнасьці браталюбства, а ў браталюбстве любоў.

in godliness brotherly love, in brotherly love love:

Так (калі) гэтае ў вас ёсьць і памнажаецца, вы ня застанецеся бяздзейнымі і бясплоднымі ў пазнаньні Госпада нашага Ісуса Хрыста.

for these things existing and abounding in you make [you] to be neither idle nor unfruitful as regards the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ;

А хто гэтага ня мае, той сьляпы, нявíсны, забыўся пра атрыманьне ачышчэньня сваіх ранейшых грахоў.

for he with whom these things are not present is blind, short-sighted, and has forgotten the purging of his former sins.

Пагэтаму, браты, больш і больш старайцеся зрабіць няпахісным ваша паклíканьне і выбра́ньне; гэтак робячы, ніколі ня спатыкнецеся,

Wherefore the rather, brethren, use diligence to make your calling and election sure, for doing these things ye will never fall;

бо гэтак вам будзе адчынены вольны ўваход у вечнае Валадарства Госпада нашага і Збаўцы Ісуса Хрыста.

for thus shall the entrance into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ be richly furnished unto you.

Пагэтаму я ня перастану вам пастаянна напамінаць аб гэтым, хоць вы (ужо) і ведаеце і ўгрунтаваны ў гэтай праўдзе.

Wherefore I will be careful to put you always in mind of these things, although knowing [them] and established in the present truth.

Справядлівым жа лічу, да таго часу пакуль знаходжуся ў гэтай (цялеснай) будыніне заахвочваць вас напамінаньнем,

But I account it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting [you] in remembrance,

ведаючы што хутка пакіну маю будыніну, як і Госпад наш Ісус Хрыстос мне адкрыў.

knowing that the putting off of my tabernacle is speedily [to take place], as also our Lord Jesus Christ has manifested to me;

Пастараюся ж, каб вы і пасьля майго адыходу пастаянна ўспаміналі гэтыя (словы).

but I will use diligence, that after my departure ye should have also, at any time, [in your power] to call to mind these things.

Бо мы абвясьцілі вам сілу і прыход Госпада нашага Ісуса Хрыста, ня за нябыліцамі ідучы ўсьлед, але стаўшы відавочцамі велічы Ягонай.

For we have not made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, following cleverly imagined fables, but having been eyewitnesses of his majesty.

Бо (Ён) прыняў ад Бога Ба́цькі чэсьць і славу, калі да Яго быў прагучаўшы голас Вялізарнай Славы: Гэты ёсьць Сын Мой Любасны, у Якім усё Маё задавальненьне.

For he received from God [the] Father honour and glory, such a voice being uttered to him by the excellent glory: This is my beloved Son, in whom I have found my delight;

Пачу́лі гэты голас і мы, як ён прагучаў зь Неба, як мы былí разам зь Ім на сьвятой гары.

and this voice we heard uttered from heaven, being with him on the holy mountain.

І мы маем найдаставернейшае прарочае слова; і вы добра робіце, калі зьвяртаецеся да яго, як да сьветача, які зьзяе ў цёмным мейсцы, пакуль дзень пачне сьвітаць і ранішняя зорка ўзыйдзе ў сэрцах вашых,

And we have the prophetic word [made] surer, to which ye do well taking heed (as to a lamp shining in an obscure place) until [the] day dawn and [the] morning star arise in your hearts;

ведаючы галоўнае ў тым, што ў усякага прароцтва з Пісаньня ня бывае ўласнага (чалавечага) тлумачэньня,

knowing this first, that [the scope of] no prophecy of scripture is had from its own particular interpretation,

бо прароцтва было выказана некалі ня па волі чалавека, але (яно) было выказана сьвятымі Божымі людзьмі, натхняемымі Духам Сьвятым.

for prophecy was not ever uttered by [the] will of man, but holy men of God spake under the power of [the] Holy Spirit.
