Вот родословие Иисуса Христа, потомка Давида и Авраама:

This is a record of the ancestors of Jesus the Messiah, a descendant of David and of Abrahama:

от Авраама родился Исаак, от Исаака родился Иаков,1 от Иакова родились Иуда и братья его,

Abraham was the father of Isaac. Isaac was the father of Jacob. Jacob was the father of Judah and his brothers.

от Иуды родились Фарес и Зара, матерью их была Фамарь; от Фареса родился Есром, от Есрома — Арам,

Judah was the father of Perez and Zerah (whose mother was Tamar). Perez was the father of Hezron. Hezron was the father of Ram.b

от Арама родился Аминадав, от Аминадава — Наассон, от Наассона — Салмон,

Ram was the father of Amminadab. Amminadab was the father of Nahshon. Nahshon was the father of Salmon.

от Салмона родился Вооз, матерью его была Рахав; от Вооза родился Овид, матерью его была Руфь; от Овида родился Иессей,

Salmon was the father of Boaz (whose mother was Rahab). Boaz was the father of Obed (whose mother was Ruth). Obed was the father of Jesse.

от Иессея родился Давид-царь. Давид был отцом царя Соломона, мать которого прежде была за Урией;

Jesse was the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon (whose mother was Bathsheba, the widow of Uriah).

от Соломона родился Ровоам, от Ровоама — Авия, от Авии — Асаф,

Solomon was the father of Rehoboam. Rehoboam was the father of Abijah. Abijah was the father of Asa.c

от Асафа2 родился Иосафат, от Иосафата — Иорам, от Иорама — Озия,

Asa was the father of Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat was the father of Jehoram.d Jehoram was the fathere of Uzziah.

от Озии родился Иоафам, от Иоафама — Ахаз, от Ахаза — Езекия,

Uzziah was the father of Jotham. Jotham was the father of Ahaz. Ahaz was the father of Hezekiah.

от Езекии родился Манассия, от Манассии — Амос, от Амоса3 — Иосия,

Hezekiah was the father of Manasseh. Manasseh was the father of Amon.f Amon was the father of Josiah.

от Иосии4 ко времени переселения в Вавилон родились Иехония и его братья.

Josiah was the father of Jehoiaching and his brothers (born at the time of the exile to Babylon).

После переселения в Вавилон от Иехонии родился Салафиил, от Салафиила — Зоровавель,

After the Babylonian exile: Jehoiachin was the father of Shealtiel. Shealtiel was the father of Zerubbabel.

от Зоровавеля родился Авиуд, от Авиуда — Елиаким, от Елиакима — Азор,

Zerubbabel was the father of Abiud. Abiud was the father of Eliakim. Eliakim was the father of Azor.

от Азора родился Садок, от Садока — Ахим, от Ахима — Елиуд,

Azor was the father of Zadok. Zadok was the father of Akim. Akim was the father of Eliud.

от Елиуда родился Елеазар, от Елеазара — Матфан, от Матфана — Иаков,

Eliud was the father of Eleazar. Eleazar was the father of Matthan. Matthan was the father of Jacob.

от Иакова родился Иосиф, муж Марии, матери Иисуса, называемого также Христом.5

Jacob was the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary. Mary gave birth to Jesus, who is called the Messiah.

Итак, всех поколений от Авраама до Давида — четырнадцать, от Давида до переселения в Вавилон — четырнадцать и от переселения в Вавилон до рождения Христа — четырнадцать.

All those listed above include fourteen generations from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the Babylonian exile, and fourteen from the Babylonian exile to the Messiah.

И вот как произошло рождение Иисуса Христа. Его мать Мария была обручена с Иосифом, но, прежде чем они сочетались браком, оказалось, что носит она под сердцем ребенка от Духа Святого.

This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Будущий ее муж, Иосиф, был человеком праведным; он не захотел выставлять ее на позор, и потому решил тайно расторгнуть помолвку.

Joseph, to whom she was engaged, was a righteous man and did not want to disgrace her publicly, so he decided to break the engagementh quietly.

Но как только он это задумал, явился ему во сне ангел Господень и сказал: «Иосиф, сын Давида, не бойся принять Марию, жену твою: ожидаемый ею ребенок — от Духа Святого.

As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. “Joseph, son of David,” the angel said, “do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit.

Родит она Сына, и ты наречешь Ему имя Иисус,6 потому что спасет Он народ Свой от грехов его».

And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus,i for he will save his people from their sins.”

Всё это произошло во исполнение сказанного Господом через пророка:7

All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet:

«И вот дева понесет и родит Сына, Которого назовут Эммануил (что в переводе значит „с нами Бог“)».8

“Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel,j which means ‘God is with us.’”

Пробудившись ото сна, Иосиф сделал так, как велел ему ангел Господень: он принял Марию, жену свою,

When Joseph woke up, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded and took Mary as his wife.

но не прикасался к ней, пока не родила она Сына. И назвал Его Иосиф Иисусом.

But he did not have sexual relations with her until her son was born. And Joseph named him Jesus.
