Перш, што праўда, стварыў я аповед, Тэафіле, пра ўсё, што пачаў Ісус рабіць і чаму навучаць

The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

аж да дня, у які быў узяты у неба, даўшы даручэнні праз Духа Святога Апосталам, якіх Ён выбраў.

Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

Пасля пакуты Сваёй даў Ён ім многа доказаў, што Ён жывы, на працягу сарака дзён паказваючыся ім ды прамаўляючы пра Валадарства Божае.

To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

І, сабраўшы іх, загадаў ім не выходзіць з Ерузаліма, але чакаць абяцання Айца: «Аб чым вы чулі ад Мяне,

And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

што Ян хрысціў вадою, а вось, вы праз некалькі дзён будзеце ахрышчаны Духам Святым».

For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Пыталіся ў Яго тыя, што былі сабраны, кажучы: «Госпадзе, ці не ў гэты час адновіш царства Ізраэля?»

When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

Ён жа сказаў ім: «Не ваша справа ведаць час і хвіліну, якія ўстанавіў Айцец Сваёй уладаю,

And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

але калі атрымаеце моц ад сышоўшага на вас Духа Святога, тады будзеце Мне сведкамі ў Ерузаліме, і ва ўсёй Юдэі ды Самарыі, і аж па край зямлі».

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

І, калі гэта сказаў, на вачах іх падняўся ўгору, і воблака ўзяло Яго ад іх вачэй.

And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

Калі яны так углядаліся ў неба, як Ён падымаўся, вось, два мужы ў белых шатах паўсталі каля іх,

And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

і сказалі яны: «Мужы галілейскія, чаго стаіце, углядаючыся ў неба? Гэты Ісус, Які ўзяты ад вас у неба, так прыйдзе, як бачылі Яго, што ўзыходзіць у неба».

Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Тады вярнуліся яны ў Ерузалім з гары, званай Аліўнай, якая каля Ерузаліма, за дзень суботні ходу.

Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.

І, прыйшоўшы, сабраліся яны ў святліцу, дзе і заставаліся, Пётра і Ян, Якуб і Андрэй, Піліп і Тамаш, Баўтрамей і Мацвей, Якуб Алфееў і Сімон Зэлот ды Юда, брат Якубаў.

And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.

Яны ўсе аднадушна трывалі ў малітве і прашэнні разам з жанчынамі і Марыяй, Маці Ісуса, ды братамі Яго.

These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

У тыя дні, устаўшы пасярод братоў, — а там была грамада людзей каля ста дваццаці чалавек, — Пётра сказаў:

And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

«Мужы браты, здзейснілася тое, што ў Пісанні прадказаў Дух Святы вуснамі Давіда пра Юду, які быў правадыром тых, што ўзялі Ісуса,

Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.

што ён быў залічаны да нас і быў прызначаны яму ўдзел у гэтым служэнні.

For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

Ён, вось, атрымаў зямлю як узнагароду за злачынства і, рынуўшыся, раздзёрся напалам, ды вылілася ўсё нутро яго.

Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

І гэта стала вядома ўсім жыхарам Ерузаліма, так што гэтае поле на іх мове было названа Гакельдама, гэта значыць «Поле Крыві».

And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.

Бо ў Кнізе псальмаў напісана: “Хай яго панадворак будзе пустым, ды хай ніхто на ім не жыве”, і: “Хай служэнне яго атрымае хто іншы”.

For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.

Дык трэба, каб адзін з тых мужоў, што з намі хадзілі ўвесь час, пакуль уваходзіў і выходзіў з намі Госпад Ісус,

Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

пачынаючы ад Янавага хросту аж да дня, у які Ён быў узяты ад нас, каб стаўся адзін з іх разам з намі сведкам уваскрэсення Яго».

Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

І прызначылі двух: Язэпа, называнага Барсабам, па мянушцы Справядлівы, ды Мацея.

And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

І ў малітве прасілі: «Ты, Госпадзе, што ведаеш сэрцы ўсіх, пакажы, якога аднаго з гэтых двух выбраў

And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

заняць месца той паслугі і Апостальства, ад якога адступіўся Юда, каб адысці на сваё месца».

That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

І кінулі між імі жэрабя, і жэрабя выпала на Мацея, і ён быў далучаны да адзінаццаці Апосталаў.

And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
