Второе послание к Фессалоникийцам святого апостола Павла

Павел и Силуан и Тимофей церкви Фессалоникийцев в Боге, Отце нашем, и Господе Иисусе Христе,

Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

— благодать вам и мир от Бога Отца и Господа Иисуса Христа.

Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Благодарить Бога о вас, братья, должны мы всегда по достоинству, потому что возрастает вера ваша и умножается у всех вас любовь каждого друг ко другу,

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

так что мы сами хвалимся вами в церквах Божиих, терпением вашим и верой во всех гонениях и скорбях, которые вы переносите.

So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

Это знак праведного суда Божия, чтобы быть вам удостоенными Царства Божия, ради которого вы и страдаете,

Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

если, однако, праведно пред Богом скорбью воздать оскорбляющим вас,

Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

а вам, оскорбляемым, покоем вместе с нами, в откровении Господа Иисуса с неба с ангелами силы Его

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

в пламенеющем огне, воздающего отмщение не знающим Бога и непослушным Евангелию Господа нашего Иисуса;

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

они понесут как наказание вечную гибель в отлучении от лица Господа и от славы крепости Его

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

в День тот, когда Он придёт, чтобы быть прославленным во святых Своих, и явиться Ему дивным во всех, кто уверовали, потому что было принято верой свидетельство наше у вас.

When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

Для этого мы и молимся всегда о вас, чтобы Бог наш соделал вас достойными призвания, и силою Своею исполнил всякое благоволение к добру и дело веры,

Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

дабы прославлено было имя Господа нашего Иисуса в вас, и вы в Нем, по благодати Бога нашего и Господа Иисуса Христа.

That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
