Первое послание к Коринфянам святого апостола Павла

Павел, волею Божиею призванный апостол Христа Иисуса, и Сосфен брат,

Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

церкви Божией, находящейся в Коринфе, освященным во Христе Иисусе, призванным святым, со всеми, призывающими во всяком месте имя Господа нашего Иисуса Христа, их Господа и нашего, —

To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are [a]sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

благодать вам и мир от Бога Отца нашего и Господа Иисуса Христа.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Благодарю всегда за вас Бога; за благодать Божию, данную вам во Христе Иисусе,

I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus,

потому что вы всем обогащены были в Нем: всяким словом и всяким познанием,

that you were enriched in everything by Him in all [b]utterance and all knowledge,

поскольку свидетельство Христово было утверждено в вас,

even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed [c]in you,

так что вы не имеете недостатка ни в каком даровании, ожидая откровения Господа нашего Иисуса Христа,

so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Который и утвердит вас до конца безупречными в день Господа нашего Иисуса Христа.

who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Верен Бог, Которым вы были призваны в общение Сына Его, Иисуса Христа, Господа нашего.

God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Призываю вас, братья, именем Господа нашего Иисуса Христа, чтобы вы все говорили одно и то же, и не было между вами разделений, но чтобы вы прочно были в одном и том же умонастроении и в тех же мыслях,

Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all [d]speak the same thing, and that there be no [e]divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Ибо от домашних Хлои стало мне известно о вас, братья, что между вами есть споры.

For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are [f]contentions among you.

Говорю я о том, что каждый из вас говорит: я Павлов, а я Аполлосов, а я Кифин, а я Христов.

Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.”

Неужели разделился Христос? Разве Павел был распят за вас? Или во имя Павла вы были крещены?

Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

Благодарю Бога, что я никого из вас не крестил, кроме Криспа и Гаия,

I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,

чтобы кто не сказал, что во имя мое вы были крещены.

lest anyone should say that I had baptized in my own name.

Крестил же я и дом Стефанаса. Больше я не знаю, крестил ли я кого другого.

Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas. Besides, I do not know whether I baptized any other.

Ибо не послал меня Христос крестить, но благовествовать, не в премудрости слова, чтобы не упразднён был крест Христов.

For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.

Ибо слово о кресте для погибающих есть безумие, для нас же, спасаемых, есть сила Божия.

For the [g]message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Ибо написано: Погублю мудрость мудрецов, и разум разумных отвергну.

For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”

Где мудрец? Где книжник? Где совопросник века сего? Не обратил ли Бог мудрость мира в безумие?

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the [h]disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Ведь поскольку мир своей мудростью не познал Бога в премудрости Божией, — благоугодно было Богу безумием проповеди спасти верующих.

For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

Ибо и Иудеи требуют знамений, и Еллины ищут мудрости,

For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom;

мы же проповедуем Христа распятого, для Иудеев соблазн, а для язычников безумие,

but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a [i]stumbling block and to the [j]Greeks foolishness,

для самих же призванных, как Иудеев, так и Еллинов, Христа — Божию силу и Божию премудрость,

but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

потому что безумное Божие мудрее людей, и немощное Божие сильнее людей.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Ибо смотрите, братья, на призвание ваше: не много мудрых по плоти, не много сильных, не много благородных.

For [k]you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many [l]noble, are called.

Но безумное мира избрал Бог, чтобы посрамить мудрых, и немощное мира избрал Бог, чтобы посрамить сильное,

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;

и безродное мира и уничиженное избрал Бог, и не-сущее, чтобы упразднить сущее,

and the [m]base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,

дабы не похвалилась пред Богом никакая плоть,

that no flesh should glory in His presence.

Но от Него — вы во Христе Иисусе, Который стал премудростью для нас от Бога, и праведностью и освящением и искуплением,

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God — and righteousness and sanctification and redemption —

чтобы, как написано: хвалящийся да хвалится Господом.

that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”
