Начало Евангелия Иисуса Христа, Сына Божия.

This is the Good News about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God.a It began

Как написано у Исаии пророка: Вот, Я посылаю ангела Моего пред лицом Твоим, который приготовит путь Твой;

just as the prophet Isaiah had written: “Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, and he will prepare your way.b

голос вопиющего в пустыне: «приготовьте дорогу Господу, прямыми делайте пути Его».

He is a voice shouting in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the LORD’s coming! Clear the road for him!’c”

Был Иоанн Креститель в пустыне, проповедуя крещение покаяния для отпущения грехов.

This messenger was John the Baptist. He was in the wilderness and preached that people should be baptized to show that they had repented of their sins and turned to God to be forgiven.

И выходила к нему вся Иудейская страна и все Иерусалимляне; и крестились у него в Иордане реке, исповедуя грехи свои.

All of Judea, including all the people of Jerusalem, went out to see and hear John. And when they confessed their sins, he baptized them in the Jordan River.

И был Иоанн одет в шерсть верблюжью и пояс кожаный на бедрах его, и ел саранчу и дикий мед.

His clothes were woven from coarse camel hair, and he wore a leather belt around his waist. For food he ate locusts and wild honey.

И проповедовал, говоря: идет Сильнейший меня за мною, у Которого я недостоин, наклонившись, развязать ремень обуви Его.

John announced: “Someone is coming soon who is greater than I am — so much greater that I’m not even worthy to stoop down like a slave and untie the straps of his sandals.

Я крестил вас водою, а Он будет крестить вас Духом Святым.

I baptize you withd water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit!”

И было в те дни: пришел Иисус из Назарета Галилейского и был крещен в Иордане Иоанном.

One day Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee, and John baptized him in the Jordan River.

И тотчас, выходя из воды, увидел Он разверзающиеся небеса и Духа, как голубя, нисходящего на Него.

As Jesus came up out of the water, he saw the heavens splitting apart and the Holy Spirit descending on hime like a dove.

И голос раздался с небес: Ты Сын Мой Возлюбленный, на Тебе Мое благоволение.

And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”

И тотчас Дух уводит Его в пустыню.

The Spirit then compelled Jesus to go into the wilderness,

И был Он в пустыне сорок дней, искушаемый сатаною, и был со зверями, и ангелы служили Ему.

where he was tempted by Satan for forty days. He was out among the wild animals, and angels took care of him.

И после того, как предан был Иоанн, пришел Иисус в Галилею, проповедуя Евангелие Божие

Later on, after John was arrested, Jesus went into Galilee, where he preached God’s Good News.f

и говоря: исполнились сроки, и близко Царство Божие; кайтесь и веруйте в Евангелие.

“The time promised by God has come at last!” he announced. “The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!”

И проходя по берегу моря Галилейского, Он увидел Симона и Андрея, брата Симона, закидывающих в море сети, ибо они были рыболовы.

One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simong and his brother Andrew throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living.

И сказал им Иисус: идите за Мною, и Я сделаю вас ловцами людей.

Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”

И они тотчас оставили сети и последовали за Ним.

And they left their nets at once and followed him.

И пройдя немного далее, Он увидел Иакова Зеведеева и Иоанна, брата его, тоже в лодке, чинящих сети,

A little farther up the shore Jesus saw Zebedee’s sons, James and John, in a boat repairing their nets.

и тотчас призвал их. И они оставили отца своего Зеведея в лодке с работниками и ушли за Ним.

He called them at once, and they also followed him, leaving their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired men.

И входят они в Капернаум. И тотчас, войдя в синагогу в субботу, Он учил.

Jesus and his companions went to the town of Capernaum. When the Sabbath day came, he went into the synagogue and began to teach.

И изумлялись учению Его, ибо учил Он их, как власть имеющий, а не как книжники.

The people were amazed at his teaching, for he taught with real authority — quite unlike the teachers of religious law.

И человек, бывший в синагоге их, в духе нечистом, тотчас вскричал:

Suddenly, a man in the synagogue who was possessed by an evilh spirit cried out,

что Тебе до нас, Иисус Назарянин? Ты пришел погубить нас! Знаю Тебя, кто Ты, Святой Божий.

“Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are — the Holy One of God!”

И строго сказал ему Иисус: замолчи и выйди из него.

But Jesus reprimanded him. “Be quiet! Come out of the man,” he ordered.

И сведя его судорогой и возгласив громким голосом, дух нечистый вышел из него.

At that, the evil spirit screamed, threw the man into a convulsion, and then came out of him.

И ужаснулись все и спрашивали друг друга: что это такое? Учение новое со властью, и духам нечистым Он повелевает, и они повинуются Ему?

Amazement gripped the audience, and they began to discuss what had happened. “What sort of new teaching is this?” they asked excitedly. “It has such authority! Even evil spirits obey his orders!”

И тотчас прошел слух о Нем повсюду по всей стране Галилейской.

The news about Jesus spread quickly throughout the entire region of Galilee.

И тотчас выйдя из синагоги, пришли они в дом Симона и Андрея с Иаковом и Иоанном,

After Jesus left the synagogue with James and John, they went to Simon and Andrew’s home.

Теща же Симона лежала в горячке; и тотчас говорят Ему о ней.

Now Simon’s mother-in-law was sick in bed with a high fever. They told Jesus about her right away.

И подойдя, Он поднял ее, взяв её руку; и оставила ее горячка, и она служила им.

So he went to her bedside, took her by the hand, and helped her sit up. Then the fever left her, and she prepared a meal for them.

С наступлением же вечера, когда зашло солнце, приносили к Нему всех недужных и бесноватых.

That evening after sunset, many sick and demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus.

И собрался весь город у дверей.

The whole town gathered at the door to watch.

И Он исцелил многих больных различными недугами и многих бесов изгнал и бесам не позволял говорить, так как они знали, что Он Христос.

So Jesus healed many people who were sick with various diseases, and he cast out many demons. But because the demons knew who he was, he did not allow them to speak.

И утром Он вышел, встав задолго до рассвета, и ушел в пустынное место и там молился.

Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray.

И поспешил за Ним Симон и бывшие с Ним;

Later Simon and the others went out to find him.

и нашли Его и говорят Ему: все ищут Тебя.

When they found him, they said, “Everyone is looking for you.”

И говорит им: идем в другие ближние селения, чтобы Мне и там проповедовать. Ибо для этого Я и вышел.

But Jesus replied, “We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came.”

И проповедовал Он в синагогах их по всей Галилее, и изгонял бесов.

So he traveled throughout the region of Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and casting out demons.

И приходит к Нему прокаженный, и на коленях просит Его: если Ты хочешь, можешь меня очистить.

A man with leprosy came and knelt in front of Jesus, begging to be healed. “If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean,” he said.

И сжалившись. Он протянул руку Свою, коснулся его и говорит ему: хочу, очистись.

Moved with compassion,i Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!”

И тотчас сошла с него проказа, и он очистился.

Instantly the leprosy disappeared, and the man was healed.

И строго выговорив ему. Он тотчас отослал его

Then Jesus sent him on his way with a stern warning:

и говорит ему: смотри, никому ничего не говори, но иди, покажись священнику и принеси за очищение твое, что повелел Моисей, во свидетельство им.

“Don’t tell anyone about this. Instead, go to the priest and let him examine you. Take along the offering required in the law of Moses for those who have been healed of leprosy.j This will be a public testimony that you have been cleansed.”

А он, выйдя, начал разглашать и распространять молву о происшедшем, так что Ему уже нельзя было явно войти в город, но был Он вне города, в местах пустынных. И приходили к Нему отовсюду.

But the man went and spread the word, proclaiming to everyone what had happened. As a result, large crowds soon surrounded Jesus, and he couldn’t publicly enter a town anywhere. He had to stay out in the secluded places, but people from everywhere kept coming to him.
