The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.

Про҇ро́чество ѡ҆ нїнеѵі́и: кни́га видѣ́нїѧ наѹ́ма сы́на є҆лкесе́ева.

A jealous and avenging God is Jehovah: an avenger is Jehovah, and full of fury: Jehovah taketh vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth [wrath] for his enemies.

Бг҃ъ ревни́въ и҆ мстѧ́й гд҇ь, мстѧ́й гд҇ь съ ѩ҆́ростїю, гд҇ь мстѧ́й сопоста́тѡмъ свои҄мъ и҆ потреблѧ́ѧй са́мъ врагѝ своѧ҄.

Jehovah is slow to anger, and great in power, and doth not at all clear [the guilty]: Jehovah, -- his way is in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

Гд҇ь долготерпѣли́въ, и҆ вели́ка крѣ́пость є҆гѡ̀, и҆ ѡ҆чища́ѧй не ѡ҆чи́ститъ гд҇ь: въ сконча́нїи и҆ трѹ́сѣ пѹ́ть є҆гѡ̀, и҆ ѡ҆́блацы пра́хъ но́гъ є҆гѡ̀:

He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.

запреща́ѧй мо́рю и҆ и҆зсѹша́ѧй є҆̀ и҆ всѧ҄ рѣ́ки ѡ҆пѹстоша́ѧй. Ѹ҆ма́лисѧ васані́тїда и҆ карми́лъ, и҆ процвѣта҄ющаѧ лїва́на ѡ҆скѹдѣ́ша:

The mountains quake before him, and the hills melt, and the earth is upheaved at his presence, and the world, and all that dwell therein.

го́ры потрѧсо́шасѧ ѿ негѡ̀, и҆ хо́лми поколеба́шасѧ, и҆ ѹ҆жасе́сѧ землѧ̀ ѿ лица̀ є҆гѡ̀, вселе́ннаѧ и҆ всѝ живѹ́щїи на не́й.

Who shall stand before his indignation? and who shall abide in the fierceness of his anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken asunder by him.

Ѿ лица̀ гнѣ́ва є҆гѡ̀ кто̀ постои́тъ; и҆ кто̀ сопроти́витсѧ во гнѣ́вѣ ѩ҆́рости є҆гѡ̀; ѩ҆́рость є҆гѡ̀ растаева́етъ вла҄сти, и҆ ка́менїе сотро́шасѧ ѿ негѡ̀.

Jehovah is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

Бл҃гъ гд҇ь терпѧ́щымъ є҆го̀ въ де́нь скорбѣ́нїѧ, и҆ зна́ѧй боѧ́щыѧсѧ є҆гѡ̀:

But with an overrunning flood he will make a full end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.

и҆ въ пото́пѣ пѹтѝ сконча́нїе сотвори́тъ: востаю́щыѧ и҆ врагѝ є҆гѡ̀ пожене́тъ тма̀.

What do ye imagine against Jehovah? He will make a full end: trouble shall not rise up the second time.

Что̀ помышлѧ́ете на гд҇а; сконча́нїе са́мъ сотвори́тъ, не ѿмсти́тъ два́жды кѹ́пнѡ въ ско́рби:

Though they be tangled together [as] thorns, and be as drenched from their drink, they shall be devoured as dry stubble, completely.

поне́же до ѡ҆снова́нїѧ своегѡ̀ ѡ҆лѧденѣ́етъ, и҆ а҆́ки блю́щь и҆ ѡ҆плета́ющьсѧ снѣде́нъ бѹ́детъ, и҆ а҆́ки тро́сть сѹхоты̀ полна̀.

Out of thee is gone forth one that imagineth evil against Jehovah, a wicked counsellor.

И҆з̾ тебє̀ и҆зы́детъ по́мыслъ на гд҇а ѕлы́й, совѣщава́ѧй сопрѡти́внаѧ.

Thus saith Jehovah: Though they be complete in number, and many as they be, even so shall they be cut down, and he shall pass away; and though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.

Сїѧ҄ гл҃етъ гд҇ь: ѡ҆блада́ѧй вода́ми мно́гими, и҆ си́це разстѹ́пѧтсѧ, и҆ слѹ́хъ тво́й не ѹ҆слы́шитсѧ ктомѹ̀:

And now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds asunder.

и҆ нн҃ѣ сокрѹшѹ̀ же́злъ є҆гѡ̀ ѿ тебє̀ и҆ ѹ҆́зы твоѧ҄ расто́ргнѹ.

And Jehovah hath given commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy god will I cut off the graven image, and the molten image: I will prepare thy grave; for thou art vile.

И҆ заповѣ́сть ѡ҆ тебѣ̀ гд҇ь, не разсѣ́етсѧ ѿ и҆́мене твоегѡ̀ ктомѹ̀: ѿ до́мѹ бг҃а твоегѡ̀ потреблю̀ и҆зва҄ѧннаѧ и҆ слїѧ҄ннаѧ положѹ̀ гро́бъ тво́й, ѩ҆́кѡ ско́ри (є҆стѐ).

Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth glad tidings, that publisheth peace! Celebrate thy feasts, Judah, perform thy vows: for the wicked one shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.

Сѐ, на гора́хъ но́ги благовѣствѹ́ющагѡ и҆ возвѣща́ющагѡ ми́ръ: пра́зднѹй, ї҆ѹ́до, пра́здники твоѧ҄, возда́ждь ѡ҆бѣ́ты твоѧ҄, занѐ не приложа́тъ ктомѹ̀ є҆́же проитѝ сквозѣ̀ тебѐ во ѡ҆бетша́нїе: сконча́сѧ и҆ и҆зве́ржесѧ.
