The elder to [the] elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth, and not I only but also all who have known the truth,

Ста́рец — и́збранной госпоже́ и де́тям её, кото́рых я люблю́ по и́стине, и не то́лько я, но и все, позна́вшие и́стину,

for the truth's sake which abides in us and shall be with us to eternity.

ра́ди и́стины, кото́рая пребыва́ет в нас и бу́дет с на́ми вове́к.

Grace shall be with you, mercy, peace from God [the] Father, and from [the] Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

Да бу́дет с ва́ми благода́ть, ми́лость, мир от Бо́га Отца́ и от Го́спода Иису́са Христа́, Сы́на Отчего́, в и́стине и любви́.

I rejoiced greatly that I have found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received commandment from the Father.

Я весьма́ обра́довался, что нашёл из дете́й твои́х, ходя́щих в и́стине, как мы получи́ли за́поведь от Отца́.

And now I beseech thee, lady, not as writing to thee a new commandment, but that which we have had from [the] beginning, that we should love one another.

И ны́не прошу́ тебя́, госпожа́, не как но́вую за́поведь предпи́сывая тебе́, но ту, кото́рую име́ем от нача́ла, что́бы мы люби́ли друг дру́га.

And this is love, that we should walk according to his commandments. This is the commandment, according as ye have heard from the beginning, that ye might walk in it.

Любо́вь же состои́т в том, что́бы мы поступа́ли по за́поведям Его́. Э́то та за́поведь, кото́рую вы слы́шали от нача́ла, что́бы поступа́ли по ней.

For many deceivers have gone out into the world, they who do not confess Jesus Christ coming in flesh -- this is the deceiver and the antichrist.

И́бо мно́гие обольсти́тели вошли́ в мир, не испове́дующие Иису́са Христа́, прише́дшего во пло́ти: тако́й челове́к есть обольсти́тель и анти́христ.

See to yourselves, that we may not lose what we have wrought, but may receive full wages.

Наблюда́йте за собо́ю, что́бы нам не потеря́ть того́, над чем мы труди́лись, но что́бы получи́ть по́лную награ́ду.

Whosoever goes forward and abides not in the doctrine of the Christ has not God. He that abides in the doctrine, he has both the Father and the Son.

Вся́кий, преступа́ющий уче́ние Христо́во и не пребыва́ющий в нём, не име́ет Бо́га; пребыва́ющий в уче́нии Христо́вом име́ет и Отца́ и Сы́на.

If any one come to you and bring not this doctrine, do not receive him into [the] house, and greet him not;

Кто прихо́дит к вам и не прино́сит сего́ уче́ния, того́ не принима́йте в дом и не приве́тствуйте его́.

for he who greets him partakes in his wicked works.

И́бо приве́тствующий его́ уча́ствует в злых дела́х его́.

Having many things to write to you, I would not with paper and ink; but hope to come to you, and to speak mouth to mouth, that our joy may be full.

Мно́гое име́ю писа́ть вам, но не хочу́ на бума́ге черни́лами, а наде́юсь прийти́ к вам и говори́ть уста́ми к уста́м, что́бы ра́дость ва́ша была́ полна́.

The children of thine elect sister greet thee.

Приве́тствуют тебя́ де́ти сестры́ твое́й и́збранной. Ами́нь.
