Пришли известия, что у вас происходит разврат — да такой, какого нет и у язычников: один человек живет с женой своего отца.

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that even pagans do not tolerate: A man is sleeping with his father’s wife.

Вы всё гордитесь — не лучше ли вам с плачем изгнать от вас того, кто так поступает?

And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have gone into mourning and have put out of your fellowship the man who has been doing this?

Что до меня, то хоть мое тело и не среди вас, но духом я с вами, и вместе с вами я вынес приговор тому, кто так поступает.

For my part, even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit. As one who is present with you in this way, I have already passed judgment in the name of our Lord Jesus on the one who has been doing this.

Соберитесь во имя Господа Иисуса, с вами будет мой дух и сила Господа нашего Иисуса,

So when you are assembled and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present,

и предайте такого человека сатане. Его будет ждать телесная смерть, но так его дух будет спасен в День Господень.

hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh,ab so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.

Нечем вам тут хвалиться: разве не знаете, что малая закваска сквашивает всё тесто?

Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know that a little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough?

Избавьтесь от старой закваски, чтобы стать новым тестом! Вы должны быть пресными хлебами Пасхи, ведь наше пасхальное жертвоприношение принесено — это Христос.

Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch — as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.

Отпразднуем же нашу Пасху без прежней закваски, без закваски порока и злодейства, но с пресными хлебами чистоты и истины!

Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Я велел вам в послании не общаться с развратниками.

I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people —

Конечно, имелись в виду не все развратники этого мира или хапуги, грабители, идолопоклонники — а не то надлежало бы вам оставить этот мир.

not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world.

Теперь я уточняю: не общайтесь с тем, кто называется братом, но при этом развратник, хапуга, идолопоклонник, клеветник, пьяница или грабитель — с таким не садитесь вместе за стол!

But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sisterc but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.

К чему мне судить посторонних? И вы ведь судите только своих,

What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?

а тех, кто вне общины, пусть судит Бог. «Изгоните порочного из своей среды!»

God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”d
