The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

Виде́ние Иса́ии, сы́на Амо́сова, кото́рое он ви́дел об Иуде́е и Иерусали́ме, во дни О́зии, Иоафа́ма, Аха́за, Езеки́и — царе́й Иуде́йских.

Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth; for the Lord has spoken: “Childrena have I reared and brought up, but they have rebelled against me.

Слу́шайте, небеса́, и внима́й, земля́, потому́ что Госпо́дь говори́т: Я воспита́л и возвы́сил сынове́й, а они́ возмути́лись про́тив Меня́.

The ox knows its owner, and the donkey its master’s crib, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.”

Вол зна́ет владе́теля своего́, и осёл — я́сли господи́на своего́; а Изра́иль не зна́ет Меня́, наро́д Мой не разуме́ет.

Ah, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, offspring of evildoers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the Lord, they have despised the Holy One of Israel, they are utterly estranged.

Увы́, наро́д гре́шный, наро́д, обременённый беззако́ниями, пле́мя злоде́ев, сыны́ поги́бельные! Оста́вили Го́спода, презре́ли Свято́го Изра́илева, — поверну́лись наза́д.

Why will you still be struck down? Why will you continue to rebel? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

Во что вас бить ещё, продолжа́ющие своё упо́рство? Вся голова́ в я́звах, и всё се́рдце исча́хло.

From the sole of the foot even to the head, there is no soundness in it, but bruises and sores and raw wounds; they are not pressed out or bound up or softened with oil.

От подо́швы ноги́ до те́мени головы́ нет у него́ здоро́вого ме́ста: я́звы, пя́тна, гноя́щиеся ра́ны, неочи́щенные и необвя́занные и не смягчённые еле́ем.

Your country lies desolate; your cities are burned with fire; in your very presence foreigners devour your land; it is desolate, as overthrown by foreigners.

Земля́ ва́ша опустошена́; города́ ва́ши сожжены́ огнём; поля́ ва́ши в ва́ших глаза́х съеда́ют чужи́е; все опусте́ло, как по́сле разоре́ния чужи́ми.

And the daughter of Zion is left like a booth in a vineyard, like a lodge in a cucumber field, like a besieged city.

И оста́лась дщерь Сио́на, как шатёр в виногра́днике, как шала́ш в огоро́де, как осаждённый го́род.

If the Lord of hosts had not left us a few survivors, we should have been like Sodom, and become like Gomorrah.

Е́сли бы Госпо́дь Савао́ф не оста́вил нам небольшо́го оста́тка, то мы бы́ли бы то же, что Содо́м, уподо́бились бы Гомо́рре.

Hear the word of the Lord, you rulers of Sodom! Give ear to the teachingb of our God, you people of Gomorrah!

Слу́шайте сло́во Госпо́дне, князья́ Содо́мские; внима́й зако́ну Бо́га на́шего, наро́д Гомо́ррский!

“What to me is the multitude of your sacrifices? says the Lord; I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams and the fat of well-fed beasts; I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of goats.

К чему́ Мне мно́жество жертв ва́ших? говори́т Госпо́дь. Я пресы́щен всесожже́ниями овно́в и ту́ком отко́рмленного скота́, и кро́ви тельцо́в и а́гнцев и козло́в не хочу́.

“When you come to appear before me, who has required of you this trampling of my courts?

Когда́ вы прихо́дите явля́ться пред лицо́ Моё, кто тре́бует от вас, что́бы вы топта́ли дворы́ Мои́?

Bring no more vain offerings; incense is an abomination to me. New moon and Sabbath and the calling of convocations — I cannot endure iniquity and solemn assembly.

Не носи́те бо́льше даро́в тще́тных: куре́ние отврати́тельно для Меня́; новоме́сячий и суббо́т, пра́здничных собра́ний не могу́ терпе́ть: беззако́ние — и пра́зднование!

Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hates; they have become a burden to me; I am weary of bearing them.

Новоме́сячия ва́ши и пра́здники ва́ши ненави́дит душа́ Моя́: они́ бре́мя для Меня́; Мне тяжело́ нести́ их.

When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood.

И когда́ вы простира́ете ру́ки ва́ши, Я закрыва́ю от вас о́чи Мои́; и когда́ вы умножа́ете моле́ния ва́ши, Я не слы́шу: ва́ши ру́ки полны́ кро́ви.

Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil,

Омо́йтесь, очи́ститесь; удали́те злы́е дея́ния ва́ши от оче́й Мои́х; переста́ньте де́лать зло;

learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.

научи́тесь де́лать добро́, ищи́те пра́вды, спаса́йте угнетённого, защища́йте сироту́, вступа́йтесь за вдову́.

“Come now, let us reasonc together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.

Тогда́ приди́те — и рассу́дим, говори́т Госпо́дь. Е́сли бу́дут грехи́ ва́ши, как багря́ное, — как снег убелю́; е́сли бу́дут красны́, как пу́рпур, — как во́лну убелю́.

If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;

Е́сли захоти́те и послу́шаетесь, то бу́дете вкуша́ть бла́га земли́;

but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be eaten by the sword; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

е́сли же отречётесь и бу́дете упо́рствовать, то меч пожрёт вас: и́бо уста́ Госпо́дни говоря́т.

How the faithful city has become a whore,d she who was full of justice! Righteousness lodged in her, but now murderers.

Как сде́лалась блудни́цею ве́рная столи́ца, испо́лненная правосу́дия! Пра́вда обита́ла в ней, а тепе́рь — уби́йцы.

Your silver has become dross, your best wine mixed with water.

Серебро́ твоё ста́ло и́згарью, вино́ твоё испо́рчено водо́ю;

Your princes are rebels and companions of thieves. Everyone loves a bribe and runs after gifts. They do not bring justice to the fatherless, and the widow’s cause does not come to them.

князья́ твои́ — законопресту́пники и соо́бщники воро́в; все они́ лю́бят пода́рки и гоня́ются за мздо́ю; не защища́ют сироты́, и де́ло вдовы́ не дохо́дит до них.

Therefore the Lord declares, the Lord of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel: “Ah, I will get relief from my enemies and avenge myself on my foes.

Посему́ говори́т Госпо́дь, Госпо́дь Савао́ф, Си́льный Изра́илев: о, удовлетворю́ Я Себя́ над проти́вниками Мои́ми и отмщу́ врага́м Мои́м!

I will turn my hand against you and will smelt away your dross as with lye and remove all your alloy.

И обращу́ на тебя́ ру́ку Мою́ и, как в щёлочи, очи́щу с тебя́ при́месь, и отделю́ от тебя́ всё свинцо́вое;

And I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city.”

и опя́ть бу́ду поставля́ть тебе́ суде́й, как пре́жде, и сове́тников, как в нача́ле; тогда́ бу́дут говори́ть о тебе́: «го́род пра́вды, столи́ца ве́рная».

Zion shall be redeemed by justice, and those in her who repent, by righteousness.

Сио́н спасётся правосу́дием, и обрати́вшиеся сыны́ его́ — пра́вдою;

But rebels and sinners shall be broken together, and those who forsake the Lord shall be consumed.

всем же отсту́пникам и гре́шникам — поги́бель, и оста́вившие Го́спода истребя́тся.

For theye shall be ashamed of the oaks that you desired; and you shall blush for the gardens that you have chosen.

Они́ бу́дут посты́жены за дубра́вы, кото́рые столь вожделе́нны для вас, и посрамлены́ за сады́, кото́рые вы избра́ли себе́;

For you shall be like an oak whose leaf withers, and like a garden without water.

и́бо вы бу́дете, как дуб, кото́рого лист опа́л, и как сад, в кото́ром нет воды́.

And the strong shall become tinder, and his work a spark, and both of them shall burn together, with none to quench them.

И си́льный бу́дет отре́пьем, и де́ло его́ — и́скрою; и бу́дут горе́ть вме́сте, — и никто́ не поту́шит.
