Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

Павел, Силуан и Тимофей пишут церкви Бога Отца и Господа Иисуса Христа в городе Фессалоники:

Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

благодать вам и мир от Бога, Отца нашего и Господа Иисуса Христа.

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

Нам следует постоянно благодарить Бога за вас, братья, по достоинству: ваша вера всё возрастает, и умножается любовь каждого из вас к остальным.

So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

Мы и сами хвалимся вами в церквях Божьих, вашим терпением и верой во всех выпавших на вашу долю гонениях и страданиях.

Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

Это пример справедливого Божьего суда: Он удостоит вас Царства Божьего, за которое вы теперь это претерпеваете.

Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

Справедливо будет для Бога воздать страданием тем, кто вас заставил страдать,

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

а вас, страдающих, наградить вместе с нами покоем, когда явится с неба Господь Иисус со Своими ангельскими силами

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

в огненном пламени. Оно покарает тех, кто не знал Бога и не слушал Евангелия Господа нашего Иисуса,

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

карой им будет вечная гибель от Господа в славе Его и силе.

When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

Он придет, чтобы в тот день прославиться в святом Своем народе к восхищению всех, кто поверил в Него — а ведь и вы приняли на веру наше свидетельство!

Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

Об этом мы и просим постоянно, молясь о вас: пусть наш Бог сочтет вас достойными того, к чему призвал вас. Пусть Он придаст силы всякому благому вашему желанию, когда ваша вера проявляет себя на деле.

That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Так вы прославите имя Господа нашего Иисуса и прославитесь сами действием благодати Бога нашего и Господа Иисуса Христа.
