Паўла, вязень Ісуса Хрыста, і Цімахве́й, брат, — Філімону, нашаму ўмілаванаму і супрацоўніку,

This letter is from Paul, a prisoner for preaching the Good News about Christ Jesus, and from our brother Timothy. I am writing to Philemon, our beloved co-worker,

і Анфіі, умілаванай, і Архіпу, таварышу нашаму ў барацьбе́, і дамовай царкве́ твае́й:

and to our sister Apphia, and to our fellow soldier Archippus, and to the church that meets in youra house.

Ласка вам і мір ад Бога Айца нашага і Госпада Ісуса Хрыста.

May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

Дзякую Богу майму, заўсёды ўспамінаючы аб табе́ ў малітвах маіх,

I always thank my God when I pray for you, Philemon,

чуючы аб любві твае́й і ве́ры, якую маеш да Госпада Ісуса і да ўсіх сьвятых,

because I keep hearing about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all of God’s people.

каб супольнасьць ве́ры твае́й аказалася чыннай у пазнаньні ўсякага дабра, якое ў вас у Хрысьце́ Ісусе.

And I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ.

Бо вялікую ма́ем радасьць і паце́ху ў любві твае́й, бо табою, браце, супакоены сэрцы сьвятых.

Your love has given me much joy and comfort, my brother, for your kindness has often refreshed the hearts of God’s people.

Дзеля гэтага, маючы вялікую ў Хрысьце адвагу прыказваць табе́, што трэба,

That is why I am boldly asking a favor of you. I could demand it in the name of Christ because it is the right thing for you to do.

праз любоў ле́пей прашу я, як гэты Паўла стары, цяпе́р-жа вязень Ісуса Хрыста.

But because of our love, I prefer simply to ask you. Consider this as a request from me — Paul, an old man and now also a prisoner for the sake of Christ Jesus.b

Прашу цябе́ за сына майго Анісіма, якога я спарадзіў у путах маіх,

I appeal to you to show kindness to my child, Onesimus. I became his father in the faith while here in prison.

што быў калісь бескарысны для цябе́, а цяпе́р карысны табе́ і мне́, якога я адаслаў,

Onesimusc hasn’t been of much use to you in the past, but now he is very useful to both of us.

ты-ж яго, як маё сэрца, прымі.

I am sending him back to you, and with him comes my own heart.

Хаце́ў я яго пры сабе́ трымаць, каб ён заме́ст цябе́ паслужыў мне́ ў путах за Эвангельле,

I wanted to keep him here with me while I am in these chains for preaching the Good News, and he would have helped me on your behalf.

але без твае́ згоды нічога не хаце́ў зрабіць, каб дабро твае́ ня з прынукі было, а з добрае волі.

But I didn’t want to do anything without your consent. I wanted you to help because you were willing, not because you were forced.

Бо можа ён дзеля таго на час адлучыўся, каб табе́ прыняць яго назаўсёды,

It seems you lost Onesimus for a little while so that you could have him back forever.

ужо не як слугу, але вышэй за слугу, як брата ўмілаванага, асабліва для мяне́, а тым бале́й для цябе́ — і па це́лу, і ў Госпадзе.

He is no longer like a slave to you. He is more than a slave, for he is a beloved brother, especially to me. Now he will mean much more to you, both as a man and as a brother in the Lord.

Дык, калі маеш мяне́ за супольніка, прымі яго, як мяне́.

So if you consider me your partner, welcome him as you would welcome me.

Калі-ж ён чым скрыўдзіў цябе́, або вінен, лічы гэтае на мне́.

If he has wronged you in any way or owes you anything, charge it to me.

Я, Паўла, напісаў мае́ю рукою: я аддам; каб не казаць табе́, што ты і самым сабою мне́ вінны.

I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it. And I won’t mention that you owe me your very soul!

Гэтак, браце, дай мне́ скарыстацца ад цябе́ ў Госпадзе; супакой мне́ сэрца ў Госпадзе.

Yes, my brother, please do me this favord for the Lord’s sake. Give me this encouragement in Christ.

Спадзяючыся на паслухмянасьць тваю, я напісаў да цябе́, ве́даючы, што ты зро́біш і бале́й, чым кажу.

I am confident as I write this letter that you will do what I ask and even more!

А разам прыгатуй для мяне́ і гаспо́ду; бо спадзяюся, што малітвамі вашымі буду вам падараваны.

One more thing — please prepare a guest room for me, for I am hoping that God will answer your prayers and let me return to you soon.

Вітае цябе́ Эпафрас, вязень разам са мною дзеля Хрыста Ісуса,

Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends you his greetings.

Марка, Арыстарх, Дымас, Лука, супрацоўнікі маі.

So do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my co-workers.

Ласка Госпада нашага Ісуса Хрыста з духам вашым. Амін.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
