Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

Павал, воляй Бога пакліканы Апостал Ісуса Хрыста, і Састэн брат —

To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are [a]sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

царкве Бога, якая знаходзіцца ў Карыньце, асьвянчоным у Хрысьце Ісусе, пакліканым сьвятым, з усімі, хто прызывае на ўсякім мейсцы Імя Ісуса Хрыста, Госпада і іхняга і нашага:

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Багадаць вам і мір ад Бога Бацькі нашага і Госпада Ісуса Хрыста.

I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus,

Дзякую Богу майму заўсёды за вас з прычыны таго, што вам дадзена ў Хрысьце Ісусе Багада́ць Бога,

that you were enriched in everything by Him in all [b]utterance and all knowledge,

таму што вы ўва ўсім узбагачаны ў Ім: усякім словам і ўсякім веданьнем, —

even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed [c]in you,

так што сьведчаньне Хрыстова ўмацована ў вас (настолькі),

so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,

каб вам ня мець няста́чы ні ў якім да́ры, чакаючы зьяўленьня Госпада нашага Ісуса Хрыста,

who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Каторы і ўгрунтуе вас да канца, (каб вам быць) бязьвіннымі ў дзень Госпада нашага Ісуса Хрыста.

God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Верны Бог, Якім вы прыкліканы ў лучнасьць Сына Ягонага Ісуса Хрыста, Госпада нашага.

Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all [d]speak the same thing, and that there be no [e]divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Малю ж вас, браты, Імем Госпада нашага Ісуса Хрыста, каб усе вы гаварылі адно, і ня было між вамі падзелаў, але каб вы былí злучаны ў адным розуме і ў аднэй думцы.

For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are [f]contentions among you.

Бо ад Хлоіных, браты мае, сталася мне ведама пра вас, што паміж вамі ёсьць спрэчкі.

Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.”

Кажу ж гэта таму, што кожны з вас гаворыць: «я Паўлавы»; «а я Апалёсавы»; «а я Кіхвавы»; «а я Хрыстовы».

Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

Ці разьдзе́лены Хрыстос? Ці ўкрыжаваны быў за вас Паўла? Ці ў імя Паўла вы былі ахрышчаны?

I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,

Дзякую Богу, што нікога з вас я ня хрысьціў, акрамя Крыспа і Гая,

lest anyone should say that I had baptized in my own name.

каб ніхто ня сказаў, што ў імя маё я ахрысьціў.

Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas. Besides, I do not know whether I baptized any other.

Я ахрысьціў і дом Сьцяпана, ці ахрысьціў я яшчэ каго, ня ведаю.

For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.

Бо Хрыстос паслаў мяне ня хрысьціць, але дабравесьціць ня ў мудрасьці слова, каб ня зьнясіліць крыж Хрыста.

For the [g]message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Бо слова пра крыж для гінучых ёсьць глупства, а для нас, збаўляемых, — сіла Бога.

For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”

Бо напісана: «Загублю мудрасьць мудрых і разумнасьць разумных адкіну».

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the [h]disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Дзе мудры? дзе законьнік? дзе знаток веку гэтага? Ці ня ператварыў Бог мудрасьць сьвету гэтага ў глупства?

For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

Бо калі сьвет (сваёй) мудрасьцяй ня пазнаў Бога ў мудрасьці Божай, то заўгодна было Богу цераз нямудраваньне абвяшчэньня (Эвангельля) уратаваць веручых.

For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom;

Бо і жыды дамагаюцца цуда, і элліны шукаюць мудрасьці,

but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a [i]stumbling block and to the [j]Greeks foolishness,

а мы апавяшчаем Хрыста ўкрыжаванага, для жыдоў — Камень спатыканьня, для эллінаў жа — глупства,

but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

а для самых пакліканых, і жыдоў і эллінаў, — Хрыста, Сілу Бога і Мудрасьць Бога;

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

таму што (быццам бы) нямудрае Божае — мудрэйшае за людзей, і (быццам бы) не́мачнае Божае — мацнейшае за людзей.

For [k]you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many [l]noble, are called.

Бо паглядзіце на пакліканьне вашае, браты: няшмат (з вас) мудрых паводля цела, няшмат здольных, няшмат высакародных;

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;

але нямудрых сьвету (гэтага) выбраў Бог, каб пасароміць мудрых; і немачных сьвету (гэтага) выбраў Бог, каб пасароміць моцных;

and the [m]base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,

і бязродных сьвету (гэтага) і пагарджаных, і нязначных выбраў Бог, каб значных адхіліць,

that no flesh should glory in His presence.

каб ня хвалілася ніякае цела перад Ім.

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God — and righteousness and sanctification and redemption —

Зь Яго і вы ў Хрысьце Ісусе, Каторы стаўся для нас ад Бога мудрасьцяй і праведнасьцяй, і асьвячэньнем, і адкупленьнем,

that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”

каб (было), як напісана: «хто хваліцца, хваліся Госпадам!»
