Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

Павел, волею Божией апостол Иисуса Христа, и Тимофей, брат, —

To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are in Colosse: Grace to you and peace from God our Father [a]and the Lord Jesus Christ.

находящимся в Колоссах святым и верным братьям во Христе Иисусе:

We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

благодать вам и мир от Бога, Отца нашего, и Господа Иисуса Христа. Благодарим Бога и Отца Господа нашего Иисуса Христа, всегда молясь о вас,

since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all the saints;

услышав о вере вашей в Христа Иисуса и о любви ко всем святым,

because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel,

в надежде на уготованное вам на небесах, о чем вы прежде слышали в истинном слове благовествования,

which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth [b]fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;

которое пребывает у вас, как и во всем мире, и приносит плод, и возрастает, как и между вами, с того дня, как вы услышали и познали благодать Божию в истине,

as you also learned from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on your behalf,

как и научились от Епафраса, возлюбленного сотрудника нашего, верного для вас служителя Христова,

who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.

который и известил нас о вашей любви в духе.

For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

Поэтому и мы с того дня, как об этом услышали, не перестаем молиться о вас и просить, чтобы вы исполнялись познанием воли Его во всякой премудрости и разумении духовном,

that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

чтобы поступали достойно Бога, во всем угождая Ему, принося плод во всяком деле благом и возрастая в познании Бога,

strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;

укрепляясь всякой силой по могуществу славы Его, во всяком терпении и великодушии с радостью,

giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.

благодаря Бога и Отца, призвавшего нас к участию в наследии святых во свете,

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and [c]conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

избавившего нас от власти тьмы и введшего в Царство возлюбленного Сына Своего,

in whom we have redemption [d]through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

в Котором мы имеем искупление кровью Его и прощение грехов,

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

Который есть образ Бога невидимого, рожденный прежде всякого творения,

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or [e]principalities or [f]powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

ибо Им создано всё, что на небесах и что на земле, видимое и невидимое: престолы ли, господства ли, начальства ли, власти ли — всё Им и для Него создано;

And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

и Он есть прежде всего, и все Им стоит.

And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

И Он есть Глава тела — Церкви; Он — начаток, Первенец из мертвых, дабы иметь Ему во всем первенство,

For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,

ибо благоугодно было Отцу, чтобы в Нем обитала всякая полнота

and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

и чтобы посредством Его примирить с Собой все, умиротворив через Него, кровью креста Его, и земное, и небесное.

And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled

И вас, бывших некогда отчужденными и врагами по расположению к злым делам,

in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight —

ныне примирил в теле плоти Его, смертью Его, чтобы представить вас святыми, и непорочными, и неповинными пред Собою,

if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

если только пребываете тверды и непоколебимы в вере и не отпадаете от надежды благовествования, которое вы слышали, которое возвещено всему творению поднебесному, которого я, Павел, сделался служителем.

I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church,

Ныне радуюсь в страданиях моих за вас и восполняю недостаток в плоти моей скорбей Христовых за тело Его, которое есть Церковь,

of which I became a minister according to the [g]stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God,

которой сделался я служителем по домостроительству Божьему, вверенному мне для вас, чтобы исполнить слово Божие,

the [h]mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints.

тайну, сокрытую от веков и родов, ныне же открытую святым Его,

To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: [i]which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

которым благоволил Бог показать, какое богатство славы в тайне этой для язычников, которая есть Христос в вас, упование славы,

Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

Которого мы проповедуем, вразумляя всякого человека и научая всякой премудрости, чтобы представить всякого человека совершенным во Христе Иисусе;

To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.

для чего я и тружусь, и подвизаюсь силой Его, действующей во мне могущественно.
