In the eighth month of the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

В восьмо́м ме́сяце, во второ́й год Да́рия, бы́ло сло́во Госпо́дне к Заха́рии, сы́ну Варахи́ину, сы́ну Аддо́ву, проро́ку:

“The Lord has been very angry with your fathers.

прогне́вался Госпо́дь на отцо́в ва́ших вели́ким гне́вом,

Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the Lord of hosts.

и ты скажи́ им: так говори́т Госпо́дь Савао́ф: обрати́тесь ко Мне, говори́т Госпо́дь Савао́ф, и Я обращу́сь к вам, говори́т Госпо́дь Савао́ф.

“Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets preached, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Turn now from your evil ways and your evil deeds.” ’ But they did not hear nor heed Me,” says the Lord.

Не бу́дьте таки́ми, как отцы́ ва́ши, к кото́рым взыва́ли пре́жде бы́вшие проро́ки, говоря́: «так говори́т Госпо́дь Савао́ф: обрати́тесь от злых путе́й ва́ших и от злых дел ва́ших»; но они́ не слу́шались и не внима́ли Мне, говори́т Госпо́дь.

“Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever?

Отцы́ ва́ши — где они́? да и проро́ки, бу́дут ли они́ ве́чно жить?

Yet surely My words and My statutes, Which I commanded My servants the prophets, Did they not overtake your fathers? “So they returned and said: ‘Just as the Lord of hosts determined to do to us, According to our ways and according to our deeds, So He has dealt with us.’ ” ’ ”

Но слова́ Мои́ и определе́ния Мои́, кото́рые запове́дал Я раба́м Мои́м, проро́кам, ра́зве не пости́гли отцо́в ва́ших? и они́ обраща́лись и говори́ли: «как определи́л Госпо́дь Савао́ф поступи́ть с на́ми по на́шим путя́м и по на́шим дела́м, так и поступи́л с на́ми».

On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet:

В два́дцать четвёртый день оди́ннадцатого ме́сяца, — э́то ме́сяц Шева́т, — во второ́й год Да́рия, бы́ло сло́во Госпо́дне к Заха́рии, сы́ну Варахи́ину, сы́ну Аддо́ву, проро́ку:

I saw by night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse, and it stood among the myrtle trees in the hollow; and behind him were horses: red, sorrel, and white.

ви́дел я но́чью: вот, муж на ры́жем коне́ стои́т ме́жду ми́ртами, кото́рые в углубле́нии, а позади́ него́ ко́ни ры́жие, пе́гие и бе́лые, —

Then I said, “My lord, what are these?” So the angel who talked with me said to me, “I will show you what they are.”

и сказа́л я: кто они́, господи́н мой? И сказа́л мне А́нгел, говори́вший со мно́ю: я покажу́ тебе́, кто они́.

And the man who stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, “These are the ones whom the Lord has sent to walk to and fro throughout the earth.”

И отвеча́л муж, кото́рый стоя́л ме́жду ми́ртами, и сказа́л: э́то те, кото́рых Госпо́дь посла́л обойти́ зе́млю.

So they answered the Angel of the Lord, who stood among the myrtle trees, and said, “We have walked to and fro throughout the earth, and behold, all the earth is [a]resting quietly.”

И они́ отвеча́ли А́нгелу Госпо́дню, стоя́вшему ме́жду ми́ртами, и сказа́ли: обошли́ мы зе́млю, и вот, вся земля́ населена́ и споко́йна.

Then the Angel of the Lord answered and said, “O Lord of hosts, how long will You not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which You were angry these seventy years?”

И отвеча́л А́нгел Госпо́день и сказа́л: Го́споди Вседержи́телю! Доко́ле Ты не умилосе́рдишься над Иерусали́мом и над города́ми Иу́ды, на кото́рые Ты гне́ваешься вот уже́ се́мьдесят лет?

And the Lord answered the angel who talked to me, with good and comforting words.

Тогда́ в отве́т А́нгелу, говори́вшему со мно́ю, изрёк Госпо́дь слова́ благи́е, слова́ утеши́тельные.

So the angel who spoke with me said to me, [b]“Proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “I am zealous[c] for Jerusalem And for Zion with great [d]zeal.

И сказа́л мне А́нгел, говори́вший со мно́ю: провозгласи́ и скажи́: так говори́т Госпо́дь Савао́ф: возревнова́л Я о Иерусали́ме и о Сио́не ре́вностью вели́кою;

I am exceedingly angry with the nations at ease; For I was a little angry, And they helped — but with evil intent.”

и вели́ким негодова́нием негоду́ю на наро́ды, живу́щие в поко́е; и́бо, когда́ Я ма́ло прогне́вался, они́ уси́лили зло.

‘Therefore thus says the Lord: “I am returning to Jerusalem with mercy; My house shall be built in it,” says the Lord of hosts, “And a surveyor’s line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem.” ’

Посему́ так говори́т Госпо́дь: Я обраща́юсь к Иерусали́му с милосе́рдием; в нём сооруди́тся дом Мой, говори́т Госпо́дь Савао́ф, и землеме́рная вервь протя́нется по Иерусали́му.

“Again proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “My cities shall again [e]spread out through prosperity; The Lord will again comfort Zion, And will again choose Jerusalem.” ’ ”

Ещё провозгласи́ и скажи́: так говори́т Госпо́дь Савао́ф: сно́ва перепо́лнятся города́ Мои́ добро́м, и уте́шит Госпо́дь Сио́н, и сно́ва изберёт Иерусали́м.

Then I raised my eyes and looked, and there were four horns.

И подня́л я глаза́ мои́ и уви́дел: вот четы́ре ро́га.

And I said to the angel who talked with me, “What are these?” So he answered me, “These are the [f]horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”

И сказа́л я А́нгелу, говори́вшему со мно́ю: что э́то? И он отве́тил мне: э́то ро́ги, кото́рые разброса́ли Иу́ду, Изра́иля и Иерусали́м.

Then the Lord showed me four craftsmen.

Пото́м показа́л мне Госпо́дь четырёх рабо́чих.

And I said, “What are these coming to do?” So he said, “These are the horns that scattered Judah, so that no one could lift up his head; but [g]the craftsmen are coming to terrify them, to cast out the horns of the nations that lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.”

И сказа́л я: что они́ иду́т де́лать? Он сказа́л мне так: э́ти ро́ги разброса́ли Иу́ду, так что никто́ не мо́жет подня́ть головы́ свое́й; а сии́ пришли́ устраши́ть их, сбить ро́ги наро́дов, подня́вших рог свой про́тив земли́ Иу́ды, что́бы рассе́ять её.
