This is a record of the ancestors of Jesus the Messiah, a descendant of David and of Abrahama:

Родословие Иисуса Христа, Сына Давидова, Сына Авраамова.

Abraham was the father of Isaac. Isaac was the father of Jacob. Jacob was the father of Judah and his brothers.

Авраам родил Исаака; Исаак родил Иакова; Иаков родил Иуду и братьев его;

Judah was the father of Perez and Zerah (whose mother was Tamar). Perez was the father of Hezron. Hezron was the father of Ram.b

Иуда родил Фареса и Зару от Фамари; Фарес родил Есрома; Есром родил Арама;

Ram was the father of Amminadab. Amminadab was the father of Nahshon. Nahshon was the father of Salmon.

Арам родил Аминадава; Аминадав родил Наассона; Наассон родил Салмона;

Salmon was the father of Boaz (whose mother was Rahab). Boaz was the father of Obed (whose mother was Ruth). Obed was the father of Jesse.

Салмон родил Вооза от Рахавы; Вооз родил Овида от Руфи; Овид родил Иессея;

Jesse was the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon (whose mother was Bathsheba, the widow of Uriah).

Иессей родил Давида, царя; Давид, царь, родил Соломона от бывшей за Урией;

Solomon was the father of Rehoboam. Rehoboam was the father of Abijah. Abijah was the father of Asa.c

Соломон родил Ровоама; Ровоам родил Авию; Авия родил Асу;

Asa was the father of Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat was the father of Jehoram.d Jehoram was the fathere of Uzziah.

Аса родил Иосафата; Иосафат родил Иорама; Иорам родил Озию;

Uzziah was the father of Jotham. Jotham was the father of Ahaz. Ahaz was the father of Hezekiah.

Озия родил Иоафама; Иоафам родил Ахаза; Ахаз родил Езекию;

Hezekiah was the father of Manasseh. Manasseh was the father of Amon.f Amon was the father of Josiah.

Езекия родил Манассию; Манассия родил Амона; Амон родил Иосию;

Josiah was the father of Jehoiaching and his brothers (born at the time of the exile to Babylon).

Иосия родил Иоакима; Иоаким родил Иехонию и братьев его перед переселением в Вавилон.

After the Babylonian exile: Jehoiachin was the father of Shealtiel. Shealtiel was the father of Zerubbabel.

По переселении же в Вавилон Иехония родил Салафииля; Салафииль родил Зоровавеля;

Zerubbabel was the father of Abiud. Abiud was the father of Eliakim. Eliakim was the father of Azor.

Зоровавель родил Авиуда; Авиуд родил Елиакима; Елиаким родил Азора;

Azor was the father of Zadok. Zadok was the father of Akim. Akim was the father of Eliud.

Азор родил Садока; Садок родил Ахима; Ахим родил Елиуда;

Eliud was the father of Eleazar. Eleazar was the father of Matthan. Matthan was the father of Jacob.

Елиуд родил Елеазара; Елеазар родил Матфана; Матфан родил Иакова;

Jacob was the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary. Mary gave birth to Jesus, who is called the Messiah.

Иаков родил Иосифа, мужа Марии, от которой родился Иисус, называемый Христос.

All those listed above include fourteen generations from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the Babylonian exile, and fourteen from the Babylonian exile to the Messiah.

Итак, всех родов от Авраама до Давида — четырнадцать родов; и от Давида до переселения в Вавилон — четырнадцать родов; и от переселения в Вавилон до Христа — четырнадцать родов.

This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Рождество Иисуса Христа было так: по обручении матери Его Марии с Иосифом, прежде нежели сочетались они, оказалось, что она имеет во чреве от Духа Святого.

Joseph, to whom she was engaged, was a righteous man and did not want to disgrace her publicly, so he decided to break the engagementh quietly.

Иосиф же, муж ее, будучи праведен и не желая огласить ее, хотел тайно отпустить ее.

As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. “Joseph, son of David,” the angel said, “do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit.

Но когда он помыслил это, — вот, ангел Господень явился ему во сне и сказал: «Иосиф, сын Давидов! Не бойся принять Марию, жену твою, ибо родившееся в ней есть от Духа Святого;

And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus,i for he will save his people from their sins.”

родит же Сына, и наречешь Ему имя Иисус, ибо Он спасет людей Своих от грехов их».

All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet:

А все это произошло, да сбудется реченное Господом через пророка, который говорит:

“Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel,j which means ‘God is with us.’”

«Вот, дева во чреве примет и родит Сына, и нарекут имя Ему Эммануил, что значит „С нами Бог“».

When Joseph woke up, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded and took Mary as his wife.

Встав от сна, Иосиф поступил, как повелел ему ангел Господень, и принял жену свою,

But he did not have sexual relations with her until her son was born. And Joseph named him Jesus.

и не знал ее, как наконец она родила Сына своего, Первенца, и он нарек Ему имя Иисус.
