This is the Good News about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God.a It began

Начало Евангелия Иисуса Христа, Сына Божьего,

just as the prophet Isaiah had written: “Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, and he will prepare your way.b

как написано у пророков: «Вот Я посылаю ангела Моего пред лицом Твоим, который приготовит путь Твой пред Тобою.

He is a voice shouting in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the LORD’s coming! Clear the road for him!’c”

Глас вопиющего в пустыне: „Приготовьте путь Господу, прямыми сделайте стези Ему“».

This messenger was John the Baptist. He was in the wilderness and preached that people should be baptized to show that they had repented of their sins and turned to God to be forgiven.

Явился Иоанн, крестя в пустыне и проповедуя крещение покаяния для прощения грехов.

All of Judea, including all the people of Jerusalem, went out to see and hear John. And when they confessed their sins, he baptized them in the Jordan River.

И выходили к нему вся страна иудейская и иерусалимляне, и крестились от него все в реке Иордане, исповедуя грехи свои.

His clothes were woven from coarse camel hair, and he wore a leather belt around his waist. For food he ate locusts and wild honey.

Иоанн же носил одежду из верблюжьего волоса и пояс кожаный на чреслах своих, и ел акриды и дикий мед,

John announced: “Someone is coming soon who is greater than I am — so much greater that I’m not even worthy to stoop down like a slave and untie the straps of his sandals.

и проповедовал, говоря: «Идет за мною более Сильный, чем я, у Которого я недостоин, наклонившись, развязать ремень обуви Его.

I baptize you withd water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit!”

Я крестил вас водой, а Он будет крестить вас Духом Святым».

One day Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee, and John baptized him in the Jordan River.

И было в те дни: пришел Иисус из Назарета галилейского и крестился от Иоанна в Иордане.

As Jesus came up out of the water, he saw the heavens splitting apart and the Holy Spirit descending on hime like a dove.

И когда выходил из воды, тотчас увидел Иоанн разверзающиеся небеса и Духа, как голубя, сходящего на Него.

And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”

И глас был с небес: «Ты Сын Мой возлюбленный, в Котором Мое благоволение».

The Spirit then compelled Jesus to go into the wilderness,

Немедленно после того Дух ведет Его в пустыню.

where he was tempted by Satan for forty days. He was out among the wild animals, and angels took care of him.

И был Он там в пустыне сорок дней, искушаемый сатаной, и был со зверями; и ангелы служили Ему.

Later on, after John was arrested, Jesus went into Galilee, where he preached God’s Good News.f

После же того, как предан был Иоанн, пришел Иисус в Галилею, проповедуя Евангелие Царства Божьего

“The time promised by God has come at last!” he announced. “The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!”

и говоря, что исполнилось время и приблизилось Царство Божие: покайтесь и веруйте в Евангелие.

One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simong and his brother Andrew throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living.

Проходя же близ моря Галилейского, увидел Симона и Андрея, брата его, закидывающих сети в море, ибо они были рыболовы.

Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”

И сказал им Иисус: «Идите за Мной, и Я сделаю, что вы будете ловцами людей».

And they left their nets at once and followed him.

И они тотчас, оставив свои сети, последовали за Ним.

A little farther up the shore Jesus saw Zebedee’s sons, James and John, in a boat repairing their nets.

И, пройдя оттуда немного, Он увидел Иакова Зеведеева и Иоанна, брата его, также в лодке, чинивших сети,

He called them at once, and they also followed him, leaving their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired men.

и тотчас призвал их. И они, оставив отца своего Зеведея в лодке с работниками, последовали за Ним.

Jesus and his companions went to the town of Capernaum. When the Sabbath day came, he went into the synagogue and began to teach.

И приходят в Капернаум; и вскоре в субботу вошел Он в синагогу и учил.

The people were amazed at his teaching, for he taught with real authority — quite unlike the teachers of religious law.

И дивились Его учению, ибо Он учил их, как власть имеющий, а не как книжники.

Suddenly, a man in the synagogue who was possessed by an evilh spirit cried out,

В синагоге их был человек, одержимый духом нечистым, и вскричал:

“Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are — the Holy One of God!”

«Оставь! Что Тебе до нас, Иисус Назарянин? Ты пришел погубить нас! Знаю Тебя, кто Ты, — Святой Божий».

But Jesus reprimanded him. “Be quiet! Come out of the man,” he ordered.

Но Иисус запретил ему, говоря: «Замолчи и выйди из него».

At that, the evil spirit screamed, threw the man into a convulsion, and then came out of him.

Тогда дух нечистый, сотрясши его и вскричав громким голосом, вышел из него.

Amazement gripped the audience, and they began to discuss what had happened. “What sort of new teaching is this?” they asked excitedly. “It has such authority! Even evil spirits obey his orders!”

И все ужаснулись, так что друг друга спрашивали: «Что это? Что это за новое учение, что Он и духам нечистым повелевает с властью и они повинуются Ему?»

The news about Jesus spread quickly throughout the entire region of Galilee.

И скоро разошлась о Нем молва по всей окрестности в Галилее.

After Jesus left the synagogue with James and John, they went to Simon and Andrew’s home.

Выйдя вскоре из синагоги, пришли в дом Симона и Андрея, с Иаковом и Иоанном.

Now Simon’s mother-in-law was sick in bed with a high fever. They told Jesus about her right away.

Теща же Симона лежала в горячке; и тотчас говорят Ему о ней.

So he went to her bedside, took her by the hand, and helped her sit up. Then the fever left her, and she prepared a meal for them.

Подойдя, Он поднял ее, взяв ее за руку, — и горячка тотчас оставила ее, и она стала служить им.

That evening after sunset, many sick and demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus.

С наступлением же вечера, когда зашло солнце, приносили к Нему всех больных и бесноватых.

The whole town gathered at the door to watch.

И весь город собрался к дверям.

So Jesus healed many people who were sick with various diseases, and he cast out many demons. But because the demons knew who he was, he did not allow them to speak.

И Он исцелил многих, страдавших различными болезнями; изгнал многих бесов и не позволял бесам говорить, что они знают, что Он Христос.

Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray.

А утром, встав весьма рано, вышел и удалился в пустынное место и там молился.

Later Simon and the others went out to find him.

Симон и бывшие с ним пошли за Ним

When they found him, they said, “Everyone is looking for you.”

и, найдя Его, говорят Ему: «Все ищут Тебя».

But Jesus replied, “We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came.”

Он говорит им: «Пойдем в ближние селения и города, чтобы Мне и там проповедовать, ибо Я для того пришел».

So he traveled throughout the region of Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and casting out demons.

И Он проповедовал в синагогах их по всей Галилее и изгонял бесов.

A man with leprosy came and knelt in front of Jesus, begging to be healed. “If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean,” he said.

Приходит к Нему прокаженный и, умоляя Его и падая пред Ним на колени, говорит Ему: «Если хочешь, можешь меня очистить».

Moved with compassion,i Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!”

Иисус, умилосердившись над ним, простер руку, коснулся его и сказал ему: «Хочу, очистись».

Instantly the leprosy disappeared, and the man was healed.

После этого слова проказа тотчас сошла с него и он стал чист.

Then Jesus sent him on his way with a stern warning:

И, посмотрев на него строго, тотчас отослал его

“Don’t tell anyone about this. Instead, go to the priest and let him examine you. Take along the offering required in the law of Moses for those who have been healed of leprosy.j This will be a public testimony that you have been cleansed.”

и сказал ему: «Смотри, никому ничего не говори, но пойди, покажись священнику и принеси за очищение твое, что повелел Моисей, во свидетельство им».

But the man went and spread the word, proclaiming to everyone what had happened. As a result, large crowds soon surrounded Jesus, and he couldn’t publicly enter a town anywhere. He had to stay out in the secluded places, but people from everywhere kept coming to him.

А он, выйдя, начал провозглашать и рассказывать о происшедшем, так что Иисус не мог уже явно войти в город, но находился вне, в местах пустынных. И приходили к Нему отовсюду.
