These are the visions that Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. He saw these visions during the years when Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah were kings of Judah.a A Message for Rebellious Judah

Listen, O heavens! Pay attention, earth! This is what the LORD says: “The children I raised and cared for have rebelled against me.

Even an ox knows its owner, and a donkey recognizes its master’s care — but Israel doesn’t know its master. My people don’t recognize my care for them.”

Знают быки своего хозяина, и знает осёл, где его ясли, но народ Израиля не знает Меня, народ Мой не понимает".

Oh, what a sinful nation they are — loaded down with a burden of guilt. They are evil people, corrupt children who have rejected the LORD. They have despised the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on him.

Народ Израиля грешен, их вина — словно бремя, которое они должны нести. Эти люди, как дети из плохих семей, оставили Бога, презрели Святого Израилева, покинули Его и относились к Нему, как к страннику.

Why do you continue to invite punishment? Must you rebel forever? Your head is injured, and your heart is sick.

Господь говорит: "Почему Я вынужден продолжать вас наказывать, люди? Я наказал вас, но вы не изменились и продолжали восставать против Меня. И теперь больны каждое сердце и каждая голова.

You are battered from head to foot — covered with bruises, welts, and infected wounds — without any soothing ointments or bandages.

От самых ног до темени изранены ваши тела, вам больно, ваши язвы открыты. Вам не было дела до грязных и неперевязанных ран.

Your country lies in ruins, and your towns are burned. Foreigners plunder your fields before your eyes and destroy everything they see.

Ваша земля опустошена, ваши города сожжены, ваши враги забрали землю, и чужие пожирают её, она опустела, словно разорённая чужеземцами!

Beautiful Jerusalemb stands abandoned like a watchman’s shelter in a vineyard, like a lean-to in a cucumber field after the harvest, like a helpless city under siege.

Иерусалим, дочь Сиона, осталась, как пустой шатёр среди брошенного виноградника, как старый шалаш в огороде, как побеждённый город".

If the LORD of Heaven’s Armies had not spared a few of us,c we would have been wiped out like Sodom, destroyed like Gomorrah.

Если бы Господь Всемогущий не оставил нам небольшого остатка, то мы были бы то же, что Содом, стали бы тем же, что Гоморра.

Listen to the LORD, you leaders of “Sodom.” Listen to the law of our God, people of “Gomorrah.”

Слушайте весть от Господа, правители Содома! Слушай поучения Господа, народ Гоморры!

“What makes you think I want all your sacrifices?” says the LORD. “I am sick of your burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fattened cattle. I get no pleasure from the blood of bulls and lambs and goats.

Господь говорит: "Почему вы продолжаете приносить Мне жертвы? Я пресыщен ими! С Меня довольно всех этих жертв баранов и бычьего жира. Кровь коров, овец и козлов не доставляет Мне удовольствия.

When you come to worship me, who asked you to parade through my courts with all your ceremony?

Кто просил вас, чтобы вы топтали всё на Моём дворе, когда приходите встретиться со Мной?

Stop bringing me your meaningless gifts; the incense of your offerings disgusts me! As for your celebrations of the new moon and the Sabbath and your special days for fasting — they are all sinful and false. I want no more of your pious meetings.

Не приносите Мне больше жертв, Мне отвратительны ваши воскурения, ненавистны ваши субботы и пиры новолуния. Я ненавижу зло, творимое вами на ваших святых сборищах!

I hate your new moon celebrations and your annual festivals. They are a burden to me. I cannot stand them!

Всей душой Своей Я ненавижу ваши новомесячные сборы и советы, они стали для Меня тяжким бременем.

When you lift up your hands in prayer, I will not look. Though you offer many prayers, I will not listen, for your hands are covered with the blood of innocent victims.

Когда вы поднимаете руки в молитве, Я не вижу вас, и когда вы умножаете свои моления, Я их не слышу, ибо ваши руки в крови.

Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways.

Омойте руки свои, омойтесь и очиститесь, удалите злые дела свои от взора Моего! Перестаньте творить зло!

Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.

Научитесь делать добро, ищите справедливости, наказывайте тех, кто угнетает других, охраняйте права сирот и вдов".

“Come now, let’s settle this,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.

Господь говорит: "Приходите, и мы рассудим всё это. Если грехи ваши, как багряница, то побелеют они, словно снег! Если будут они пурпурно красные, то убелю их, как шерсть!

If you will only obey me, you will have plenty to eat.

Если послушаете Меня и примете, что Я говорю, то получите блага земные.

But if you turn away and refuse to listen, you will be devoured by the sword of your enemies. I, the LORD, have spoken!” Unfaithful Jerusalem

Если же откажетесь слушать, то вы против Меня, и враги вас уничтожат". Так говорит Господь.

See how Jerusalem, once so faithful, has become a prostitute. Once the home of justice and righteousness, she is now filled with murderers.

Господь говорит: "Взгляни на Иерусалим, город, который верил и следовал за Мной. Как сделался он блудницею? Она больше не следует за Мной. Иерусалим должен быть исполнен справедливости, и люди, живущие там, должны идти путями Бога. Но сейчас там живут убийцы.

Once like pure silver, you have become like worthless slag. Once so pure, you are now like watered-down wine.

Доброта, как серебро. Но в вашем серебре появились примеси. Ваше вино смешано с водой и разбавлено.

Your leaders are rebels, the companions of thieves. All of them love bribes and demand payoffs, but they refuse to defend the cause of orphans or fight for the rights of widows.

Ваши властители — законоотступники и сообщники воров. Все они любят взятки, ожидают платы и не ищут справедливости для сирот, потому дела вдов и не доходят до суда".

Therefore, the Lord, the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, the Mighty One of Israel, says, “I will take revenge on my enemies and pay back my foes!

Поэтому Властитель, Господь Всемогущий, Могущественный Израиля говорит: "Я накажу вас, враги Мои, и вы больше не будете причинять бед.

I will raise my fist against you. I will melt you down and skim off your slag. I will remove all your impurities.

Как щёлоком чистят серебро, так и Я вычищу всё, что неправильно в вас, и очищу вас от всякой примеси.

Then I will give you good judges again and wise counselors like you used to have. Then Jerusalem will again be called the Home of Justice and the Faithful City.”

Я приведу обратно судей, какие были у вас прежде, ваши советники будут такими же, как были когда-то. И тогда вас станут называть "добрым и верным городом".

Zion will be restored by justice; those who repent will be revived by righteousness.

Господь добр и праведен, Он спасёт Сион и тех, кто обратится к Нему.

But rebels and sinners will be completely destroyed, and those who desert the LORD will be consumed.

Отступники же и грешники будут уничтожены (все те, кто оставил Господа).

You will be ashamed of your idol worship in groves of sacred oaks. You will blush because you worshiped in gardens dedicated to idols.

Им будет стыдно за сады и дубовые рощи, в которых они поклонялись.

You will be like a great tree with withered leaves, like a garden without water.

Ибо вы станете, как дубы, чья листва умирает, и как сад, засыхающий без воды.

The strongest among you will disappear like straw; their evil deeds will be the spark that sets it on fire. They and their evil works will burn up together, and no one will be able to put out the fire.

Сильные станут корою, а дела их — искрами, рождающими огонь, и будут они гореть, и никто не сможет погасить тот огонь.
