Книга о происхождении Иисуса Помазанника, Сына Давидова1, сына Авраамова.

The record of the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham:

У Авраама родился сын Исаак, у Исаака — Иаков, у Иакова — Иехуда и его братья.

Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, and Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers.

Иехуде Тамар родила Переца и Зераха, у Переца родился сын Хецрон, у Хецрона — Рам,

Judah was the father of Perez and Zerah by Tamar, Perez was the father of Hezron, and Hezron the father of Ram.

у Рама — Аминадав, у Аминадава — Нахшон, у Нахшона — Ралмон,

Ram was the father of Amminadab, Amminadab the father of Nahshon, and Nahshon the father of Salmon.

Ралмону Рахав родила Боаза, Боазу Рут родила Оведа, у Оведа родился сын Ишай,

Salmon was the father of Boaz by Rahab, Boaz was the father of Obed by Ruth, and Obed the father of Jesse.

а у Ишая — царь Давид.Давиду бывшая жена Урии родила Соломона,

Jesse was the father of David the king. David was the father of Solomon by Bathsheba who had been the wife of Uriah.

у Соломона родился сын Рехавеам, у Рехавеама — Авия, у Авии — Аса,

Solomon was the father of Rehoboam, Rehoboam the father of Abijah, and Abijah the father of Asa.

у Асы — Иехошафат, у Иехошафата — Иорам, у Иорама — Узия,

Asa was the father of Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat the father of Joram, and Joram the father of Uzziah.

у Узии — Иотам, у Иотама — Ахаз, у Ахаза — Хизкия,

Uzziah was the father of Jotham, Jotham the father of Ahaz, and Ahaz the father of Hezekiah.

у Хизкии — Менаше, у Менаше — Амон, у Амона — Иошия,

Hezekiah was the father of Manasseh, Manasseh the father of Amon, and Amon the father of Josiah.

а у Иошии родились Иехония и его братья — перед выселением в Вавилон.

Josiah became the father of Jeconiah and his brothers, at the time of the deportation to Babylon.

После выселения в Вавилон у Иехонии родился сын Шеалтиэл, у Шеалтила — Зерубавел,

After the deportation to Babylon: Jeconiah became the father of Shealtiel, and Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel.

у Зерубавела — Авихуд, у Авихуда — Эльяким, у Эльякима — Азор,

Zerubbabel was the father of Abihud, Abihud the father of Eliakim, and Eliakim the father of Azor.

у Азора — Цадок, у Цадока — Ахим, у Ахима — Элихуд,

Azor was the father of Zadok, Zadok the father of Achim, and Achim the father of Eliud.

у Элихуда — Элеазар, у Элеазара — Маттан, у Маттана — Иаков,

Eliud was the father of Eleazar, Eleazar the father of Matthan, and Matthan the father of Jacob.

у Иакова — Иосиф, муж Марии, которая родила Иисуса, именуемого Помазанником.

Jacob was the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, by whom Jesus was born, who is called the Messiah.

Итак, от Авраама до Давида — четырнадцать поколений, от Давида до выселения в Вавилон — четырнадцать и от выселения в Вавилон до Помазанника — четырнадцать.

So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; from David to the deportation to Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the deportation to Babylon to the Messiah, fourteen generations.

А Иисус Помазанник родился так. Его мать Мария была обручена с Иосифом, но ещё до того как стала его женой, она оказалась беременной от Духа Святого.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.

Иосиф, её муж, будучи верным Закону, но не желая выносить это дело на суд, решил расстаться с ней тайно.

And Joseph her husband, being a righteous man and not wanting to disgrace her, planned to send her away secretly.

Когда он принял это решение, во сне ему явился ангел Господень и сказал: «Иосиф, сын Давида, не опасаясь бери Марию в жёны, ибо Плод, который она носит, — от Духа Святого.

But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.

Она родит Cына, и ты назовёшь Его Иисусом, ибо Он спасёт2 Свой народ от грехов».

“She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Всё это произошло, чтобы исполнилось слово Господа, сказанное пророком:

Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet:

И вот, дева зачнёт и родит Cына, и назовут Его Иммануэл3,что значит с нами Бог.

“BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD AND SHALL BEAR A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL,” which translated means, “GOD WITH US.”

Проснувшись Иосиф поступил так, как велел ему ангел Господень, и взял Марию в жёны,

And Joseph awoke from his sleep and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took Mary as his wife,

но не приближался к ней до тех пор, пока у неё не родился Cын. И он назвал Его Иисусом.

but kept her a virgin until she gave birth to a Son; and he called His name Jesus.

[1] Сын Давидов — в некоторых мессианских течениях послебиблейской эпохи это титул Помазанника (Мессии), с приходом Которого должен закончиться период угнетения Израиля. Ожидалось, что Помазанник будет потомком («сыном») царя Давида и восстановит его царство.
