Павел, посланник не от людей и не через человека, но через Иисуса Помазанника и Бога Отца, воскресившего Его из мертвых,

This letter is from Paul, an apostle. I was not appointed by any group of people or any human authority, but by Jesus Christ himself and by God the Father, who raised Jesus from the dead.

и все братья, которые со мной — церквям Галатии:

All the brothers and sistersa here join me in sending this letter to the churches of Galatia.

благодать вам и мир от Бога Отца нашего и Господа Иисуса Христа,

May God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christb give you grace and peace.

отдавшего Самого Себя за грехи наши, чтобы избавить нас от этого злого века по воле Бога и Отца нашего,

Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live.

которому слава во веки веков, аминь.

All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.

Поражаюсь, что от Призвавшего вас в благодати вы так поспешно переметнулись в иное благовестие,

I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ.c You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News

но иного нет! А есть некоторые будоражащие вас и желающие извратить благовестие Помазанника,

but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ.

Но если даже мы или ангел с неба будет благовествовать вопреки тому, что мы вам благовествовали, — да будет отвержен!

Let God’s curse fall on anyone, including us or even an angel from heaven, who preaches a different kind of Good News than the one we preached to you.

Как раньше мы говорили, и сейчас опять говорю: если кто-либо благовествует вам вопреки тому, что вы приняли, — да будет отвержен!

I say again what we have said before: If anyone preaches any other Good News than the one you welcomed, let that person be cursed.

Я сейчас уговариваю людей или Бога? Или стараюсь угодить людям? Если бы я по-прежнему угождал людям, то не был бы рабом Христа.

Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.

Открою ведь вам, братья, что благовестие, возвещённое мной, — не человеческое,

Dear brothers and sisters, I want you to understand that the gospel message I preach is not based on mere human reasoning.

потому что я принял его и был научен не человеком, но через откровение Иисуса Христа.

I received my message from no human source, and no one taught me. Instead, I received it by direct revelation from Jesus Christ.d

Вы слышали о моей прошлой жизни в иудаизме, что я изо всех сил преследовал церковь Божию и разорял её,

You know what I was like when I followed the Jewish religion — how I violently persecuted God’s church. I did my best to destroy it.

и преуспевал в иудаизме более многих ровесников в моем роде, будучи ревностным последователем моих отеческих преданий.

I was far ahead of my fellow Jews in my zeal for the traditions of my ancestors.

Когда же благоволил Избравший меня от утробы моей матери и призвавший через Свою благодать,

But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvelous grace. Then it pleased him

открыть во мне Своего Сына, чтобы я благовествовал Его среди иноверцев, — я не стал сразу же искать поддержки у людей,

to reveal his Son to mee so that I would proclaim the Good News about Jesus to the Gentiles. When this happened, I did not rush out to consult with any human being.f

и не пошел в Иерусалим к Посланникам, которые были прежде меня, но ушел в Аравию, и опять возвратился в Дамаск.

Nor did I go up to Jerusalem to consult with those who were apostles before I was. Instead, I went away into Arabia, and later I returned to the city of Damascus.

Затем, спустя три года, я ходил в Иерусалим познакомиться с Кифой и остался у него дней на пятнадцать.

Then three years later I went to Jerusalem to get to know Peter,g and I stayed with him for fifteen days.

Другого же из Посланников я не видел, разве только Иакова.

The only other apostle I met at that time was James, the Lord’s brother.

А то, что пишу вам, пред Богом, не лгу.

I declare before God that what I am writing to you is not a lie.

Затем я пришел в области Сирии и Киликии.

After that visit I went north into the provinces of Syria and Cilicia.

Церквям Христовым в Иудее я не был знаком лично,

And still the churches in Christ that are in Judea didn’t know me personally.

а только слышали они, что «преследовавший нас когда-то, сейчас благовествует веру, которую прежде истреблял», —

All they knew was that people were saying, “The one who used to persecute us is now preaching the very faith he tried to destroy!”

и славили за меня Бога.

And they praised God because of me.
