В начале было Слово, и Слово было с Богом, и Слово было Бог.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Оно было в начале с Богом.

He was in the beginning with God.

Все обрело свое существование через Него, и без Него не возникло ничего, что возникло.

All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

В Нем была жизнь, и эта жизнь была свет людям.

In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

Свет сияет во тьме, и тьма не одолела его.

And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not [a]comprehend it.

Богом был послан человек по имени Иоанн.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

Он пришел свидетелем — нести свидетельство о Свете, чтобы через него все поверили.

This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.

Он не был светом — он был послан нести свидетельство о Свете.

He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

Но чтобы свет светил всем и каждому, в мир приходил истинный Свет.

That[b] was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.

Он был в этом мире, мир возник через Него, и мир не узнал Его.

He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.

Он пришел к своим, и свои не приняли Его.

He came to His [c]own, and His [d]own did not receive Him.

А тем, кто принял Его и поверил в Него, Он дал право стать Божьими чадами,

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the [e]right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

Которые не от крови, не по влечению плоти, не по желанию человека, а от Бога родились.

who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Слово стало одним из нас и поселилось среди нас во всей полноте благодати и истины. И мы увидели Его славу — славу единственного у Отца.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Его свидетель Иоанн прокричал свою весть: «Это — Тот, о ком я говорил! Он идет за мной! Он первенствует! Он был прежде меня!».

John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me [f]is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ ”

От полноты Его благодати — всем благодать. Вот откуда мы все ее получили.

[g]And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.

Закон был дан через Моисея, а благодать и истина явились через Иисуса Христа.

For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Бога никто никогда не видел. Открыл завесу единственный Сын — Бог, пребывающий в Отчих укромах.

No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten [h]Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

Вот что сказал Иоанн, когда священники и левиты, посланные иудейскими советниками из Иерусалима, спросили его: «Кто ты?».

Now this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?”

Он сказал прямо: «Я не Христос». Сказал как есть, не отрекся.

He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, “I am not the Christ.”

Они спросили его: «Тогда кто же ты? Илья?». Он сказал: «Нет». — «Кто же? Пророк?». Он ответил: «Нет».

And they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.”

Они говорят: «Так кто же ты? С каким ответом идти нам к людям, которые послали нас? Что скажешь нам о себе?».

Then they said to him, “Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?”

Он ответил словами пророка Исайи: «Я — голос, взывающий в пустыне: проложите Господу прямую дорогу!».

He said: “I am ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Make straight the way of the Lord,” ’ as the prophet Isaiah said.”

Посланцы из фарисеев

Now those who were sent were from the Pharisees.

Спрашивают его: «Зачем ты крестишь, если ты не Христос, не Илья, не пророк?».

And they asked him, saying, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”

Иоанн ответил: «Я крещу водой. Но вы не все знаете. Вы не знаете, кто уже стоит среди вас.

John answered them, saying, “I baptize with water, but there stands One among you whom you do not know.

Он идет за мной. Я не гожусь даже на то, чтобы развязать Ему на сандалиях ремни».

It is He who, coming after me, [i]is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose.”

Это происходило в Вифании, что по ту сторону Иордана. Здесь Иоанн крестил народ.

These things were done in [j]Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.

На другой день к нему идет Иисус. Иоанн видит Его и говорит: «Вот Божий Агнец! Он берет на Себя грех мира.

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

Он — Тот, о ком я говорил. Он идет следом за мной. Он первенствует. Он был прежде меня.

This is He of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who [k]is preferred before me, for He was before me.’

А я — тот, кто крестит водой. Я не знал Его, но Израиль узнает о Нем от меня».

I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.”

Иоанн говорил дальше: «Я видел, как с неба сошел на Него голубем Дух и на Нем остался.

And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.

Я не знал Его, но Тот, кто послал меня крестить водой, сказал мне: “На ком увидишь: останется, сойдя, Дух, — Тому крестить Святым Духом.”

I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

И я это видел! Говорю как свидетель: это Божий Сын».

And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”

На другой день Иоанн снова был там с двумя учениками.

Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples.

Мимо проходил Иисус. Иоанн видит Его и говорит: «Вот Божий Агнец!».

And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God!”

Услышав эти слова, оба ученика пошли следом за Иисусом.

The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

Иисус обернулся — видит, что за Ним идут, и спрашивает: «Что вам нужно?». Они говорят Ему: «Рабби! — (рабби значит учитель) — Где Ты живешь?».

Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?” They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), “where are You staying?”

Он сказал: «Пойдемте — увидите». Было около четвертого часа. Они пошли, увидели, где Он живет, и пробыли у Него остаток дня.

He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour).

Одним из тех двух, кто услышал слова Иоанна и пошел за Иисусом, был Андрей, брат Симона Петра.

One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.

Он встречает своего брата Симона и первому ему говорит: «Знаешь, кого мы встретили? Мессию!» (Мессия значит Христос) —

He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the [l]Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ).

И привел его к Иисусу. Иисус посмотрел на него и говорит: «Ты — Симон, сын Ионы. Будешь зваться Кифа» (Кифа в переводе — Петр, по смыслу — «камень»).

And he brought him to Jesus. Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, “You are Simon the son of [m]Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is translated, [n]A Stone).

На другой день Иисус решил идти в Галилею. Он встречает Филиппа и говорит ему: «Иди за Мной».

The following day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, “Follow Me.”

Филипп был из Вифсаиды. (Андрей и Петр тоже были из этого города).

Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

Филипп встречает Натанаэля и говорит: «Знаешь, кого мы встретили? Того самого, о ком написано у Моисея в Законе и в Пророках! Это Иисус из Назарета сын Иосифа».

Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote — Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

Натанаэль сказал: «Разве из Назарета может исходить чтонибудь путное?». Филиппговорит ему: «Иди посмотри сам».

And Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”

Иисус увидел Натанаэля, когда тот подходил к Нему, и говорит: «Вот чистой воды израильтянин, сама прямота!».

Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!”

Натанаэль говорит Ему: «Откуда Ты меня знаешь?». Иисус ответил: «Я видел тебя под смоковницей, когда Филипп тебя еще не позвал».

Nathanael said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

Натанаэль говорит: «Рабби! Ты — Божий Сын. Ты — царь Израиля».

Nathanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”

Иисус ответил: «Я сказал, что видел тебя под смоковницей, — поэтому ты веришь? Но ты увидишь еще и не такое».

Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.”

И сказал: «Поверьте истинному слову: откроется небо, и вы увидите, как Божьи ангелы переходят вверх и вниз над Сыном человеческим».

And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter[o] you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”
