Итак, дорогие мои желанные братья, восторг и венец мой, будьте у Господа примером стойкости, прекрасные друзья!

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters,a stay true to the Lord. I love you and long to see you, dear friends, for you are my joy and the crown I receive for my work.

Прошу Эводию, прошу Синтихию объединенно мыслить ради Господа.

Now I appeal to Euodia and Syntyche. Please, because you belong to the Lord, settle your disagreement.

Да и тебя прошу, надежный мой сотрудник, помогай этим женщинам на поприще евангелия. Они не жалея себя трудятся рядом со мной вместе с Клементом и другими моими сотрудниками, чьи имена — в книге жизни.

And I ask you, my true partner,b to help these two women, for they worked hard with me in telling others the Good News. They worked along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are written in the Book of Life.

Радуйтесь всегда Господу. И опять скажу: радуйтесь!

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again — rejoice!

Пусть люди видят вашу кротость! Господь близко.

Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.c

Меньше хлопочите, но всегда с благодарением в молитве и прошении поверяйте Богу свои нужды,

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

И мир Божий, успокоение, непостижимое уму, сойдет на ваши сердца и мысли, удержит их во власти Христа Иисуса.

Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Наконец, братья, на все истинное, на все честное, на все справедливое, на все скромное, приветливое, доброе, на все хорошее, похвальное — лишь на такое настраивайте свой ум.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Чему научились, что переняли и узнали от меня, видели во мне — это всё делайте, и Бог мира и согласия будет с вами.

Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me — everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.

И возрадовался же я весьма Господней радостью, что возобновилась наконец ваша обо мне забота. Правда, вы и не прекращали заботиться, да только не было к этому случая.

How I praise the Lord that you are concerned about me again. I know you have always been concerned for me, but you didn’t have the chance to help me.

Говорю это не по бедности, потому что привык обходиться тем, что есть.

Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.

Умею жить и в скудости, и в достатке. Научился отдавать когда и где угодно должное сытости и голоду, достатку и бедности.

I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.

Всё мне под силу, а сила — от Него.

For I can do everything through Christ,d who gives me strength.

И все-таки вы хорошо сделали, что взяли на себя часть моих забот.

Even so, you have done well to share with me in my present difficulty.

Вы должны помнить, филиппийцы, что в ту начальную пору, когда я после Македонии шел с евангелием, ни одна церковь не обнаружила своего ко мне участия подаянием или готовностью принять у себя, кроме вашей.

As you know, you Philippians were the only ones who gave me financial help when I first brought you the Good News and then traveled on from Macedonia. No other church did this.

Вы и в Фессалонику не раз посылали мне на мои нужды.

Even when I was in Thessalonica you sent help more than once.

Да только хочу не подаяния, а у вас плода обильного и полезного.

I don’t say this because I want a gift from you. Rather, I want you to receive a reward for your kindness.

Всего у меня предостаточно, я вполне удовлетворен, и то, что вы послали с Эпафродитом, получил как благоухание ароматов, жертву желанную, угодную Богу.

At the moment I have all I need — and more! I am generously supplied with the gifts you sent me with Epaphroditus. They are a sweet-smelling sacrifice that is acceptable and pleasing to God.

А Бог мой во всей Своей славе через Христа Иисуса от Своего богатства восполнит вам во всякой вашей нужде.

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

Богу и Отцу нашему слава во веки веков! Аминь.

Now all glory to God our Father forever and ever! Amen.

Передавайте ради Христа Иисуса привет всему у вас святому народу. Привет вам от братьев, которые здесь у меня.

Give my greetings to each of God’s holy people — all who belong to Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me send you their greetings.

Передает вам привет весь святой народ, особенно из дома кесаря.

And all the rest of God’s people send you greetings, too, especially those in Caesar’s household.

С духом вашим да будет благодать Господа Иисуса Христа!

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.e
