Павел, Божьей волей апостол Христа Иисуса, и брат Тимофей —

This letter is from Paul, chosen by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus, and from our brother Timothy.

Святому народу в Колоссах, верным братьям во Христе: милость вам и мир от Бога Отца нашего!

We are writing to God’s holy people in the city of Colosse, who are faithful brothers and sistersa in Christ. May God our Father give you grace and peace.

Всегда в молитвах о вас благодарим Бога и Отца Господа нашего Иисуса Христа.

We always pray for you, and we give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Наслышаны о вашей вере в Христа Иисуса и любви ко всему святому народу

For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all of God’s people,

И, конечно, о вашей надежде на уготованное вам на небесах. Эту надежду вы обрели, когда слово истины, евангелие,

which come from your confident hope of what God has reserved for you in heaven. You have had this expectation ever since you first heard the truth of the Good News.

Распространяясь по всему миру, впервые дошло и до вас. Здесь у вас, как и везде, евангелие дает плоды с того самого дня, когда вы узнали о нем и по-настоящему оценили Божью благодать.

This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace.

A принес вам весть Эпафрас, драгоценный наш сотрудник, верный у вас слуга Христа.

You learned about the Good News from Epaphras, our beloved co-worker. He is Christ’s faithful servant, and he is helping us on your behalf.b

Он же поведал нам о вашей любви, а это дар Духа.

He has told us about the love for others that the Holy Spirit has given you.

С того самого дня, как мы об этом узнали, у нас повелось в предстояниях к Богу всегда просить, чтобы Он еще ближе приобщил вас к тайне Своей воли, к секрету мудрости и духовного проникновения.

So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.

Делайте достойное Бога, во всем Ему угодное, приносите плод во всяком добром деле, постигайте и постигайте Бога.

Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.

В великой Божьей крепости черпайте новые силы и терпение. Радуйтесь

We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy,c

И благодарите Отца. Он дал вам право на место в судьбе святого народа, увидевшего свет.

always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light.

Он избавил нас от власти тьмы и привел в Царство Своего любимого Сына.

For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son,

А этот Его Сын — наше искупление, отпущение грехов.

who purchased our freedomd and forgave our sins. Christ Is Supreme

Он — образ Бога невидимого. Его первородство — над всем творением.

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,e

Через Него сотворено все небесное и земное, видимое и невидимое: престолы и господства, начала и власти. Все сотворено через Него и для Него.

for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see — such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.

Он — прежде всего. Все держится на Нем.

He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.

Он — Глава Тела, Церкви. Он и начало, первенец из умерших. Во всем за Ним первенство.

Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead.f So he is first in everything.

Угодно было Богу, чтобы в Нем обитала вся полнота Божества.

For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ,

Через Него Он все с Собой примирил. Его смертью на кресте Он мир с Собой обеспечил всему земному и небесному.

and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.

Вас, некогда Ему чуждых, враждебных зловредностью мысли и дела,

This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions.

Он посредством Его смерти примирил сегодня с Собой в Его земном Теле, чтобы вас поставить перед Собой святыми, непорочными, безвинными,

Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.

Если, конечно, пребываете в вере твердо, основательно и не расстаетесь с надеждой. Евангелие вы не могли не услышать: оно возвещено всему творению под небесами. Я, Павел, стал его служителем.

But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God’s servant to proclaim it.

Сегодня радуюсь моим за вас страданиям. Я на себе в этой жизни возмещаю недостаток бед, претерпеваемых ради Христа, ради Его Тела — Церкви.

I am glad when I suffer for you in my body, for I am participating in the sufferings of Christ that continue for his body, the church.

Я служителем ее сделался по Божьему распоряжению, данному мне, чтобы у вас разрешилась по Божьему Слову

God has given me the responsibility of serving his church by proclaiming his entire message to you.

Тайна, веками сокрытая от всех поколений. Сегодня она явлена Его святому народу.

This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past, but now it has been revealed to God’s people.

Божья воля была дать им увидеть, какое для всех народов бесконечное счастье заключено в этой тайне, которая есть Христос в вашей жизни, упование славы.

For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.

Его-то мы и возвещаем, чтобы каждого подтолкнуть к мудрой мысли, всему научить и Богу представить совершенным по Христу.

So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfectg in their relationship to Christ.

Ради этого я без устали и тружусь, располагая на моем поприще могучей силой, заложенной в меня Его трудами.

That’s why I work and struggle so hard, depending on Christ’s mighty power that works within me.
