Когда беспорядки утихли, Павел созвал учеников, ободрил их, попрощался и отправился в Македонию.

After the uproar had ceased, Paul called the disciples to himself, embraced them, and departed to go to Macedonia.

Проходя через разные области, Павел ободрял верующих пространными речами. Придя в Грецию,

Now when he had gone over that region and encouraged them with many words, he came to Greece

он провел там три месяца. Когда он собирался отплыть в Сирию, иудеи подготовили покушение на него, и он решил возвращаться через Македонию.

and stayed three months. And when the Jews plotted against him as he was about to sail to Syria, he decided to return through Macedonia.

Его сопровождали вериец Сопатр, сын Пирра, Aристарх и Секунд из Фессалоник, Гай из Дервии и Тимофей, а также Тихик и Трофим из Aсии.

And Sopater of Berea accompanied him to Asia — also Aristarchus and Secundus of the Thessalonians, and Gaius of Derbe, and Timothy, and Tychicus and Trophimus of Asia.

Они пошли вперед и ожидали нас в Троаде.

These men, going ahead, waited for us at Troas.

Мы же после праздника Пресных хлебов отплыли из Филипп и через пять дней присоединились к ним в Троаде. Там мы пробыли семь дней.

But we sailed away from Philippi after the Days of Unleavened Bread, and in five days joined them at Troas, where we stayed seven days.

В первый день недели мы собрались вместе для преломления хлеба. Павел беседовал с ними и, так как он намеревался на следующий день отправиться в путь, его речь затянулась до полуночи.

Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight.

В верхней комнате, где мы собрались, горело много ламп.

There were many lamps in the upper room where [a]they were gathered together.

На окне сидел молодой человек по имени Евтих. Когда Павел говорил, Евтих глубоко заснул и упал на землю с третьего этажа. Когда его подняли, он был мертв.

And in a window sat a certain young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep. He was overcome by sleep; and as Paul continued speaking, he fell down from the third story and was taken up dead.

Павел спустился, лег сверху на молодого человека и обнял его. — Не беспокойтесь, — сказал он, — он жив!

But Paul went down, fell on him, and embracing him said, “Do not trouble yourselves, for his life is in him.”

Павел поднялся наверх, разломил хлеб и стал есть. На рассвете, закончив говорить, Павел отправился в путь,

Now when he had come up, had broken bread and eaten, and talked a long while, even till daybreak, he departed.

а молодого человека привели живым, и всех это очень обрадовало.

And they brought the young man in alive, and they were not a little comforted.

Мы сели на корабль и отправились в Aсс, намереваясь забрать там Павла. Он сам так распорядился, потому что хотел отправиться по суше.

Then we went ahead to the ship and sailed to Assos, there intending to take Paul on board; for so he had [b]given orders, intending himself to go on foot.

В Aссе он встретил нас, и мы, взяв его на корабль, отправились в Митилину.

And when he met us at Assos, we took him on board and came to Mitylene.

Отплыв оттуда, мы на следующий день прибыли к Хиосу. Спустя еще день мы пристали в Самосе, а еще через день — в Милете.

We sailed from there, and the next day came opposite Chios. The following day we arrived at Samos and stayed at Trogyllium. The next day we came to Miletus.

Павел решил миновать Эфес, чтобы не задерживаться в Aсии, так как он спешил, желая успеть в Иерусалим ко дню Пятидесятницы.

For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus, so that he would not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hurrying to be at Jerusalem, if possible, on the Day of Pentecost.

Из Милета Павел послал в Эфес, прося старейшин церкви прийти к нему.

From Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called for the elders of the church.

Когда те пришли, он сказал им: — Вы знаете, как я жил здесь у вас все время с первого дня, когда я пришел в Aсию.

And when they had come to him, he said to them: “You know, from the first day that I came to Asia, in what manner I always lived among you,

Я со смирением и слезами служил Господу, несмотря на все испытания, через которые мне пришлось пройти из-за заговоров иудеев.

serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears and trials which happened to me by the plotting of the Jews;

Проповедуя вам, я не упускал ничего из того, что полезно, и проповедовал открыто перед всеми, переходя из дома в дом.

how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house,

Я говорил иудеям и грекам, что они должны в раскаянии обратиться к Богу и верить в нашего Господа Иисуса.

testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Сейчас же я, понуждаемый Духом, иду в Иерусалим, не зная, что там со мной будет.

And see, now I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there,

Я знаю лишь, что в каждом городе Дух Святой свидетельствует мне о том, что меня ждут тюрьма и страдания.

except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that chains and tribulations await me.

Но я не дорожу своей жизнью, только бы мне пройти мой путь и завершить порученное мне Господом Иисусом служение — свидетельствовать Радостную весть о милости Божьей.

[c]But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my [d]race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

— И сейчас я знаю, что все вы, с кем я общался и кому проповедовал о Царстве, никогда меня больше не увидите.

“And indeed, now I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, will see my face no more.

Поэтому я заявляю сегодня: я не повинен ни в чьей погибели,

Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent[e] of the blood of all men.

потому что я без утайки возвещал вам весь Божий план.

For I have not [f]shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.

Смотрите за собой и за всем стадом, которое Дух Святой вам поручил, чтобы вы пасли церковь Божью, которую Он приобрел своей собственной кровью.

Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church [g]of God which He purchased with His own blood.

Я знаю, что когда я уйду, к вам придут лютые волки, а они уж стада щадить не станут.

For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.

Даже среди вас самих появятся люди, которые станут искажать истину, чтобы увести учеников за собой.

Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking [h]perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.

Поэтому будьте бдительны! Помните, что я целых три года предупреждал вас со слезами день и ночь каждого по отдельности.

Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.

— Сейчас я вверяю вас Богу и Его слову благодати, которое может назидать вас и дать вам наследие среди всех святых.

“So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

Я ни от кого не хотел брать ни серебра, ни золота, ни одежды.

I have coveted no one’s silver or gold or apparel.

Вы сами знаете, что я своими руками зарабатывал на свои нужды и на нужды моих спутников.

[i]Yes, you yourselves know that these hands have provided for my necessities, and for those who were with me.

Во всем, что бы я ни делал, я показал вам пример того, что мы, трудясь, должны помогать слабым, помня слова Господа Иисуса: "Блаженнее давать, чем принимать".

I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”

Сказав это, Павел преклонил вместе со всеми колени и помолился.

And when he had said these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all.

Все плакали и, обнимая Павла, целовали его.

Then they all wept [j]freely, and fell on Paul’s neck and kissed him,

Их особенно опечалили его слова о том, что они никогда больше его не увидят. Они проводили Павла до корабля.

sorrowing most of all for the words which he spoke, that they would see his face no more. And they accompanied him to the ship.
