Начальнику хора. Псалом Давида. Боже хвалы моей! не премолчи,

{To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.} Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;

ибо отверзлись на меня уста нечестивые и уста коварные; говорят со мною языком лживым;

For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

отвсюду окружают меня словами ненависти, вооружаются против меня без причины;

They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.

за любовь мою они враждуют на меня, а я молюсь;

For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

воздают мне за добро злом, за любовь мою — ненавистью.

And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

Поставь над ним нечестивого, и диавол да станет одесную его.

Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.

Когда будет судиться, да выйдет виновным, и молитва его да будет в грех;

When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.

да будут дни его кратки, и достоинство его да возьмёт другой;

Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

дети его да будут сиротами, и жена его — вдовою;

Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

да скитаются дети его и нищенствуют, и просят хлеба из развалин своих;

Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.

да захватит заимодавец всё, что есть у него, и чужие да расхитят труд его;

Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.

да не будет сострадающего ему, да не будет милующего сирот его;

Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.

да будет потомство его на погибель, и да изгладится имя их в следующем роде;

Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

да будет воспомянуто пред Господом беззаконие отцов его, и грех матери его да не изгладится;

Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

да будут они всегда в очах Господа, и да истребит Он память их на земле

Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

за то, что он не думал оказывать милость, но преследовал человека бедного и нищего и сокрушённого сердцем, чтобы умертвить его;

Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.

возлюбил проклятие, — оно и придёт на него; не восхотел благословения, — оно и удалится от него;

As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.

да облечётся проклятием, как ризою, и да войдёт оно, как вода, во внутренность его и, как елей, в кости его;

As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.

да будет оно ему, как одежда, в которую он одевается, и как пояс, которым всегда опоясывается.

Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.

Таково воздаяние от Господа врагам моим и говорящим злое на душу мою!

Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them that speak evil against my soul.

Со мною же, Господи, Господи, твори ради имени Твоего, ибо блага милость Твоя; спаси меня,

But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name's sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.

ибо я беден и нищ, и сердце моё уязвлено во мне.

For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

Я исчезаю, как уклоняющаяся тень; гонят меня, как саранчу.

I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.

Колени мои изнемогли от поста, и тело моё лишилось тука.

My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.

Я стал для них посмешищем: увидев меня, кивают головами.

I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.

Помоги мне, Господи, Боже мой, спаси меня по милости Твоей,

Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy:

да познают, что это — Твоя рука, и что Ты, Господи, соделал это.

That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it.

Они проклинают, а Ты благослови; они восстают, но да будут постыжены; раб же Твой да возрадуется.

Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.

Да облекутся противники мои бесчестьем и, как одеждою, покроются стыдом своим.

Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.

И я громко буду устами моими славить Господа и среди множества прославлять Его,

I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.

ибо Он стоит одесную бедного, чтобы спасти его от судящих душу его.

For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.

Синодальный перевод

6 диавол — старое написание, но не ошибка; сейчас пишут «дьявол», однако, чтобы искать по симфонии, нужно понимать, как слово пишется в старой орфографии.

6, 31 одесную — по правую руку, справа.
