Первое соборное послание Апостола Иоанна

О том, что было от начала, что мы слышали, что видели своими глазами, за чем наблюдали и что осязали руками, о Слове Жизни мы пишем вам.

We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning,a whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life.

Мы видели это, мы свидетели этому, и теперь мы объявляем вам об этой вечной Жизни, которая пришла с Богом Отцом и была показана нам.

This one who is life itself was revealed to us, and we have seen him. And now we testify and proclaim to you that he is the one who is eternal life. He was with the Father, and then he was revealed to us.

Мы видели и слышали это, и теперь объявляем об этом и вам, чтобы и вы приобщились. А приобщение наше будет Богу Отцу, и Сыну Его Иисусу Христу.

We proclaim to you what we ourselves have actually seen and heard so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.

И потому мы пишем вам об этом, чтобы наша радость стала полной.

We are writing these things so that you may fully share our joy.b

И вот какое послание, полученное от Бога, мы передаём вам: "Бог — это свет, и вовсе нет в Нём тьмы".

This is the message we heard from Jesusc and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.

И если мы говорим, что приобщились к Нему, но продолжаем жить во тьме, то лжём и не следуем правде.

So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth.

Если же мы будем постоянно жить во свете, как Он во свете, то приобщимся друг к другу, и кровь Иисуса, Сына Его, очистит нас от всяческих грехов.

But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

Если мы говорим, что безгрешны, то обманываем себя, и нет в нас истины.

If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth.

Если мы исповедуемся в грехах наших, то Бог, неизменно и со справедливостью, прощает нам грехи и очищает нас от всей неправедности.

But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

Если мы говорим, что безгрешны, то превращаем Бога в лжеца и не принимаем Его послание.

If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts.
