He that loves me not does not keep my words; and the word which ye hear is not mine, but [that] of the Father who has sent me.
but the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, *he* shall teach you all things, and will bring to your remembrance all the things which I have said to you.
Ye are already clean by reason of the word which I have spoken to you.
I call you no longer bondmen, for the bondman does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things which I have heard of my Father I have made known to you.
Remember the word which I said unto you, The bondman is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my word, they will keep also yours.
If I had not done among them the works which no other one has done, they had not had sin; but now they have both seen and hated both me and my Father.
They said therefore, What is this which he says [of] the little while? We do not know [of] what he speaks.
I have glorified *thee* on the earth, I have completed the work which thou gavest me that I should do it;
and now glorify *me*, *thou* Father, along with thyself, with the glory which I had along with thee before the world was.
for the words which thou hast given me I have given them, and they have received [them], and have known truly that I came out from thee, and have believed that thou sentest me.
And I am no longer in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one as we.
And the glory which thou hast given me I have given them, that they may be one, as we are one;
Father, [as to] those whom thou hast given me, I desire that where I am they also may be with me, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me, for thou lovedst me before [the] foundation of [the] world.
And I have made known to them thy name, and will make [it] known; that the love with which thou hast loved me may be in them and I in them.
1 Jesus, having said these things, went out with his disciples beyond the torrent Cedron, where was a garden, into which he entered, he and his disciples.
that the word might be fulfilled which he spoke, [As to] those whom thou hast given me, I have not lost one of them.
Jesus therefore said to Peter, Put the sword into the sheath; the cup which the Father has given me, shall I not drink it?
that the word of Jesus might be fulfilled which he spoke, signifying what death he should die.
And he went out, bearing his cross, to the place called [place] of a skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha;
They said therefore to one another, Let us not rend it, but let us cast lots for it, whose it shall be; that the scripture might be fulfilled which says, They parted my garments among themselves, and on my vesture they cast lots. The soldiers therefore did these things.
But there was in the place where he had been crucified a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had ever been laid.
and the handkerchief which was upon his head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded up in a distinct place by itself.
Jesus says to her, Mary. She, turning round, says to him in Hebrew, Rabboni, which means Teacher.
19 When therefore it was evening on that day, which was the first [day] of the week, and the doors shut where the disciples were, through fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and says to them, Peace [be] to you.
30 Many other signs therefore also Jesus did before his disciples, which are not written in this book;
Jesus says to them, Bring of the fishes which ye have now taken.
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which if they were written one by one, I suppose that not even the world itself would contain the books written.
1 I composed the first discourse, O Theophilus, concerning all things which Jesus began both to do and to teach,
until that day in which, having by the Holy Spirit charged the apostles whom he had chosen, he was taken up;
to whom also he presented himself living, after he had suffered, with many proofs; being seen by them during forty days, and speaking of the things which concern the kingdom of God;
4 and, being assembled with [them], commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to await the promise of the Father, which [said he] ye have heard of me.
And he said to them, It is not yours to know times or seasons, which the Father has placed in his own authority;
who also said, Men of Galilee, why do ye stand looking into heaven? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven, shall thus come in the manner in which ye have beheld him going into heaven.
12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called [the mount] of Olives, which is near Jerusalem, a sabbath-day's journey off.
Brethren, it was necessary that the scripture should have been fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before, by the mouth of David, concerning Judas, who became guide to those who took Jesus;
It is necessary therefore, that of the men who have assembled with us all [the] time in which the Lord Jesus came in and went out among us,
beginning from the baptism of John until the day in which he was taken up from us, one of these should be a witness with us of his resurrection.
And they prayed, and said, Thou Lord, knower of the hearts of all, shew which one of these two thou hast chosen,
to receive the lot of this service and apostleship, from which Judas transgressing fell to go to his own place.
and how do *we* hear [them] each in our own dialect in which we have been born,
both Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt, and the parts of Libya which adjoin Cyrene, and the Romans sojourning [here], both Jews and proselytes,
but this is that which was spoken through the prophet Joel,
Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus the Nazaraean, a man borne witness to by God to you by works of power and wonders and signs, which God wrought by him in your midst, as yourselves know
Having therefore been exalted by the right hand of God, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this which *ye* behold and hear.
1 And Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, [which is] the ninth [hour];
11 And as he held Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the portico which is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.
And, by faith in his name, his name has made this [man] strong whom ye behold and know; and the faith which is by him has given him this complete soundness in the presence of you all.
whom heaven indeed must receive till [the] times of [the] restoring of all things, of which God has spoken by the mouth of his holy prophets since time began.
*Ye* are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God appointed to our fathers, saying to Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
*He* is the stone which has been set at nought by you the builders, which is become the corner stone.
