“Why do Your disciples break the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.”
Then the disciples came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this statement?”
But He replied to them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’
13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He was asking His disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”
When the disciples heard this, they fell face down to the ground and were terrified.
14 When they came to the crowd, a man came up to Jesus, falling on his knees before Him and saying,

“However, so that we do not offend them, go to the sea and throw in a hook, and take the first fish that comes up; and when you open its mouth, you will find a shekel. Take that and give it to them for you and Me.”
When he had begun to settle them, one who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him.
“So when his fellow slaves saw what had happened, they were deeply grieved and came and reported to their lord all that had happened.

But when the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered themselves together.
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you travel around on sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.
