And he was there until the death of Herod, that that might be fulfilled which was spoken by [the] Lord through the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.
-- the people sitting in darkness has seen a great light, and to those sitting in [the] country and shadow of death, to them has light sprung up.
But brother shall deliver up brother to death, and father child; and children shall rise up against parents and shall put them to death;
For God commanded saying, Honour father and mother; and, He that speaks ill of father or mother, let him die the death.
Verily I say unto you, There are some of those standing here that shall not taste of death at all until they shall have seen the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
Behold we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man will be delivered up to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death;
Then he says to them, My soul is very sorrowful even unto death; remain here and watch with me.
And the chief priests and the elders and the whole sanhedrim sought false witness against Jesus, so that they might put him to death.
What think ye? And they answering said, He is liable to the penalty of death.
1 And when it was morning all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus so that they might put him to death.
1 And he said to them, Verily I say unto you, There are some of those standing here that shall not taste death until they shall have seen the kingdom of God come in power.

and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to [the] judgment of death and crucified him.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, that he that hears my word, and believes him that has sent me, has life eternal, and does not come into judgment, but is passed out of death into life.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, If any one shall keep my word, he shall never see death.
The Jews therefore said to him, Now we know that thou hast a demon. Abraham has died, and the prophets, and thou sayest, If any one keep my word, he shall never taste death.
But when Jesus heard [it], he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified by it.
But Jesus spoke of his death, but *they* thought that he spoke of the rest of sleep.
But this he said signifying by what death he was about to die.
Pilate therefore said to them, Take him, ye, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said to him, It is not permitted to us to put any one to death;
that the word of Jesus might be fulfilled which he spoke, signifying what death he should die.
But he said this signifying by what death he should glorify God. And having said this, he says to him, Follow me.
Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death, inasmuch as it was not possible that he should be held by its power;

whom I found to be accused of questions of their law, but to have no charge laid against him [making him] worthy of death or of bonds.

and having gone apart, they spoke to one another saying, This man does nothing worthy of death or of bonds.
who having examined me were minded to let me go, because there was nothing worthy of death in me.
who knowing the righteous judgment of God, that they who do such things are worthy of death, not only practise them, but have fellow delight in those who do [them].
For if, being enemies, we have been reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much rather, having been reconciled, we shall be saved in [the power of] his life.
12 For this [cause], even as by one man sin entered into the world, and by sin death; and thus death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
but death reigned from Adam until Moses, even upon those who had not sinned in the likeness of Adam's transgression, who is [the] figure of him to come.
For if by the offence of the one death reigned by the one, much rather shall those who receive the abundance of grace, and of the free gift of righteousness, reign in life by the one Jesus Christ:)
in order that, even as sin has reigned in [the power of] death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Are you ignorant that we, as many as have been baptised unto Christ Jesus, have been baptised unto his death?
