But this crowd, which does not know the law, are accursed.
Does our law judge a man before it have first heard from himself, and know what he does?
Some of the Pharisees therefore said, This man is not of God, for he does not keep the sabbath. Others said, How can a sinful man perform such signs? And there was a division among them.
And they asked them saying, This is your son, of whom ye say that he was born blind: how then does he now see?
[But] we know that God does not hear sinners; but if any one be God-fearing and do his will, him he hears.
Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any one walk in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world;
The chief priests, therefore, and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, What do we? for this man does many signs.
Jesus therefore said to them, Yet a little while is the light amongst you. Walk while ye have the light, that darkness may not overtake you. And he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes.
He that rejects me and does not receive my words, has him who judges him: the word which I have spoken, that shall judge him in the last day.
Believest thou not that I [am] in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words which I speak to you I do not speak from myself; but the Father who abides in me, he does the works.
the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see him nor know him; but ye know him, for he abides with you, and shall be in you.
He that loves me not does not keep my words; and the word which ye hear is not mine, but [that] of the Father who has sent me.
I call you no longer bondmen, for the bondman does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things which I have heard of my Father I have made known to you.
This word therefore went out among the brethren, That disciple does not die. And Jesus did not say to him, He does not die; but, If I will that he abide until I come, what [is that] to thee?
And they set false witnesses, saying, This man does not cease speaking words against the holy place and the law;
And the eunuch answering Philip said, I pray thee, concerning whom does the prophet say this? of himself or of some other?
so that the residue of men may seek out the Lord, and all the nations on whom my name is invoked, saith [the] Lord, who does these things
The God who has made the world and all things which are in it, *he*, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands,
And the townclerk, having quieted the crowd, said, Ephesians, what man is there then who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is temple-keeper of Artemis the great, and of the [image] which fell down from heaven?
and having gone apart, they spoke to one another saying, This man does nothing worthy of death or of bonds.
for what does the scripture say? And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness.
but to him who does not work, but believes on him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is reckoned as righteousness.
[Does] this blessedness then [rest] on the circumcision, or also on the uncircumcision? For we say that faith has been reckoned to Abraham as righteousness.
and hope does not make ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by [the] Holy Spirit which has been given to us:
For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, good does not dwell: for to will is there with me, but to do right [I find] not.
For we have been saved in hope; but hope seen is not hope; for what any one sees, why does he also hope?
19 Thou wilt say to me then, Why does he yet find fault? for who resists his purpose?
for it is God's minister to thee for good. But if thou practisest evil, fear; for it bears not the sword in vain; for it is God's minister, an avenger for wrath to him that does evil.
He that regards the day, regards it to [the] Lord. And he that eats, eats to [the] Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he that does not eat, [it is] to [the] Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks.
Hast *thou* faith? have [it] to thyself before God. Blessed [is] he who does not judge himself in what he allows.
But [the] natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him; and he cannot know [them] because they are spiritually discerned;
But if any one think that he behaves unseemly to his virginity, if he be beyond the flower of his age, and so it must be, let him do what he will, he does not sin: let them marry.
But he who stands firm in his heart, having no need, but has authority over his own will, and has judged this in his heart to keep his own virginity, he does well.
So that he that marries himself does well; and he that does not marry does better.
But meat does not commend us to God; neither if we should not eat do we come short; nor if we should eat have we an advantage.
Who ever carries on war at his own charges? who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? or who herds a flock and does not eat of the milk of the flock?
Do I speak these things as a man, or does not the law also say these things?
or does he say [it] altogether for our sakes? For for our sakes it has been written, that the plougher should plough in hope, and he that treads out corn, in hope of partaking of [it].
Does not even nature itself teach you, that man, if he have long hair, it is a dishonour to him?
does not behave in an unseemly manner, does not seek what is its own, is not quickly provoked, does not impute evil,
does not rejoice at iniquity but rejoices with the truth,
For he that speaks with a tongue does not speak to men but to God: for no one hears; but in spirit he speaks mysteries.
Since otherwise, if thou blessest with [the] spirit, how shall he who fills the place of the simple [Christian] say Amen, at thy giving of thanks, since he does not know what thou sayest?
50 But this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit God's kingdom, nor does corruption inherit incorruptibility.
Because, even as the sufferings of the Christ abound towards us, so through the Christ does our encouragement also abound.
who has delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver; in whom we confide that he will also yet deliver;
But from those who were conspicuous as being somewhat -- whatsoever they were, it makes no difference to me: God does not accept man's person; for to me those who were conspicuous communicated nothing;
10 For as many as are on the principle of works of law are under curse. For it is written, Cursed is every one who does not continue in all things which [are] written in the book of the law to do them;
But to Abraham were the promises addressed, and to his seed: he does not say, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed; which is Christ.
Now I say this, A covenant confirmed beforehand by God, the law, which took place four hundred and thirty years after, does not annul, so as to make the promise of no effect.
