18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.
And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the Child; and when you have found Him, report to me, so that I too may come and worship Him.”
Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those who were following, “Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel.
“He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it.
44 “The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
“But that slave went out and found one of his fellow slaves who owed him a hundred denarii; and he seized him and began to choke him, saying, ‘Pay back what you owe.’
“And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing around; and he said to them, ‘Why have you been standing here idle all day long?’
Seeing a lone fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it except leaves only; and He said to it, “No longer shall there ever be any fruit from you.” And at once the fig tree withered.
“Those slaves went out into the streets and gathered together all they found, both evil and good; and the wedding hall was filled with dinner guests.
And He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “So, you men could not keep watch with Me for one hour?
Again He came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.
As they were coming out, they found a man of Cyrene named Simon, whom they pressed into service to bear His cross.
they found Him, and said to Him, “Everyone is looking for You.”
And He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go look!” And when they found out, they said, “Five, and two fish.”
And going back to her home, she found the child lying on the bed, the demon having left.
They went away and found a colt tied at the door, outside in the street; and they untied it.
Seeing at a distance a fig tree in leaf, He went to see if perhaps He would find anything on it; and when He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.
The disciples went out and came to the city, and found it just as He had told them; and they prepared the Passover.
And He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour?
And again He came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were very heavy; and they did not know what to answer Him.
The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God.
So they came in a hurry and found their way to Mary and Joseph, and the baby as He lay in the manger.
Then, after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions.
And the book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. And He opened the book and found the place where it was written,
Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled at him, and turned and said to the crowd that was following Him, “I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith.”
When those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the slave in good health.
“But what did you go out to see? A man dressed in soft clothing? Those who are splendidly clothed and live in luxury are found in royal palaces!
The people went out to see what had happened; and they came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting down at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind; and they became frightened.
And when the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. And they kept silent, and reported to no one in those days any of the things which they had seen.
“When he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
“And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’
“When she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin which I had lost!’
for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’ And they began to celebrate.
‘But we had to celebrate and rejoice, for this brother of yours was dead and has begun to live, and was lost and has been found.’”
“Was no one found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?”
So those who were sent went away and found it just as He had told them.
And they left and found everything just as He had told them; and they prepared the Passover.
When He rose from prayer, He came to the disciples and found them sleeping from sorrow,
And they began to accuse Him, saying, “We found this man misleading our nation and forbidding to pay taxes to Caesar, and saying that He Himself is Christ, a King.”
and said to them, “You brought this man to me as one who incites the people to rebellion, and behold, having examined Him before you, I have found no guilt in this man regarding the charges which you make against Him.
And he said to them the third time, “Why, what evil has this man done? I have found in Him no guilt demanding death; therefore I will punish Him and release Him.”
And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb,
“Some of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just exactly as the women also had said; but Him they did not see.”
And they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found gathered together the eleven and those who were with them,
He found first his own brother Simon and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which translated means Christ).
The next day He purposed to go into Galilee, and He found Philip. And Jesus said to him, “Follow Me.”
Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the Law and also the Prophets wrote — Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”
And He found in the temple those who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers seated at their tables.
Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, “Behold, you have become well; do not sin anymore, so that nothing worse happens to you.”
When they found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him, “Rabbi, when did You get here?”
