And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.

33 “Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place.
“The tenants seized his servants; they beat one, killed another, and stoned a third.
“But they paid no attention and went off — one to his field, another to his business.
“Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”
To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey.
All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
Then he went out to the gateway, where another servant girl saw him and said to the people there, “This fellow was with Jesus of Nazareth.”
1 Another time Jesus went into the synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there.
1 During those days another large crowd gathered. Since they had nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to him and said,
They discussed this with one another and said, “It is because we have no bread.”
He answered, “Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her.
And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.”
1 Jesus then began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a pit for the winepress and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place.
Then he sent another servant to them; they struck this man on the head and treated him shamefully.
He sent still another, and that one they killed. He sent many others; some of them they beat, others they killed.
“But the tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
“Do you see all these great buildings?” replied Jesus. “Not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”
Some of those present were saying indignantly to one another, “Why this waste of perfume?
“We heard him say, ‘I will destroy this temple made with human hands and in three days will build another, not made with hands.’ ”
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
On another Sabbath he went into the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was shriveled.
But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law were furious and began to discuss with one another what they might do to Jesus.
1 After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him,
“Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples. In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.”
Then he and his disciples went to another village.
He said to another man, “Follow me.” But he replied, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”
Still another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say goodbye to my family.”
1 Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying: “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
Another said, ‘I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I’m on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.’
“Still another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.’
“Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand?
“Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
“Then another servant came and said, ‘Sir, here is your mina; I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth.
They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.”
He sent another servant, but that one also they beat and treated shamefully and sent away empty-handed.
“As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down.”
About an hour later another asserted, “Certainly this fellow was with him, for he is a Galilean.”
Thus the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true.
There is another who testifies in my favor, and I know that his testimony about me is true.
How can you believe since you accept glory from one another but do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?
Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up,
The Jews said to one another, “Where does this man intend to go that we cannot find him? Will he go where our people live scattered among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?
They kept looking for Jesus, and as they stood in the temple courts they asked one another, “What do you think? Isn’t he coming to the festival at all?”
