And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and Jehovah his God was with him and magnified him exceedingly.

З часам замацаваўся Саламон, сын Давіда, у царстве сваім, і Госпад, Бог яго, быў з ім ды ўзнёс яго высока.

And Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to all the princes of all Israel, the chief fathers;

Затым загадаў Саламон сабрацца ўсяму Ізраэлю, тысячнікам, і сотнікам, і суддзям, і правадырам усяго Ізраэля, і князям родаў,

and Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place at Gibeon; for there was God's tent of meeting which Moses the servant of Jehovah had made in the wilderness.

і пайшоў Саламон з усёю супольнасцю на ўзвышша Габаон, бо там была палатка сустрэчы Госпадава, якую пабудаваў у пустыні Майсей, паслугач Божы.

But the ark of God had David brought up from Kirjath-jearim to the [place] that David had prepared for it; for he had spread a tent for it at Jerusalem.

Каўчэг жа Божы перанёс Давід з Карыят-Ярыма на месца, прыгатаванае ім для яго, дзе паставіў для яго палатку, гэта значыць у Ерузаліме;

And the brazen altar that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, was there before the tabernacle of Jehovah; and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.

таксама там быў медны ахвярнік, які зрабіў Бесэлеэль, сын Ура, сына Гура, — перад палаткай Госпадавай; і там Саламон і ўся супольнасць знайшлі яго.

And Solomon offered there upon the brazen altar before Jehovah which was at the tent of meeting; and he offered up a thousand burnt-offerings upon it.

Там жа прыступіў Саламон да меднага ахвярніка перад палаткаю сустрэчы Госпада і ўсклаў на ім тысячу ахвяр.

In that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, Ask what I shall give thee.

Вось, у тую ж ноч з’явіўся яму Бог, кажучы: «Прасі, што хочаш, і Я дам табе».

And Solomon said to God, Thou hast shewn unto David my father great loving-kindness, and hast made me king in his stead.

Дык сказаў Саламон Богу: «Ты аказаў бацьку майму, Давіду, вялікую міласэрнасць і паставіў па ім мяне царом.

Now, Jehovah Elohim, let thy word unto David my father be firm; for thou hast made me king over a people numerous as the dust of the earth.

Дык вось цяпер, Госпадзе, Божа, хай здзейсніцца слова Тваё, што Ты паабяцаў Давіду, бацьку майму; Ты бо зрабіў мяне царом над вялікім Тваім народам, што такі ж незлічоны, як пясок зямлі.

Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this thy great people?

Дай мне мудрасць і разважнасць, каб я ўваходзіў і выходзіў перад народам Тваім, бо хто можа годна судзіць гэты народ Твой, які настолькі вялікі?»

And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thy heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of them that hate thee, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked for thyself wisdom and knowledge, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

А Бог сказаў Саламону: «Паколькі гэта больш за ўсё спадабалася твайму сэрцу, і ты не прасіў багацця і маёмасці, ані славы, ані жыццяў тых, хто цябе ненавідзіць, ані доўгіх дзён жыцця, але папрасіў ты мудрасці і ведаў, каб здолець судзіць народ Мой, над якім паставіў Я цябе царом,

wisdom and knowledge are granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches and wealth and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall any after thee have the like.

дадзены табе мудрасць і веды; багацце ж, маёмасць ды славу дам табе, ды яшчэ такую, што падобным да цябе не будзе ніхто з цароў ува ўсе дні жыцця твайго».

Then Solomon came back [from] the high place at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tent of meeting, and reigned over Israel.

Такім чынам, вярнуўся Саламон з узвышша Габаон у Ерузаліме, ад палаткі сустрэчы і цараваў над Ізраэлем.

And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen; and he had a thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen; and he placed them in the chariot-cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.

І набраў Саламон калясніц і коннікаў, так што меў тысячу чатырыста калясніц і дванаццаць тысяч коннікаў, ды размясціў іх па гарадах калясніц ды пры цары ў Ерузаліме.

And the king made silver and gold in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he as the sycamores that are in the lowland for abundance.

І даў цар у Ерузаліме срэбра і золата, як камянёў, і кедраў, як сікамор, якія растуць у Сэфэлі ў вялікім мностве.

And the exportation of horses that Solomon had was from Egypt: a caravan of the king's merchants fetched a drove [of horses], at a price.

А коней прыводзілі яму з Егіпта і з Коа; купцы куплялі іх за грошы ў Коа,

And they fetched up and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred [shekels] of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty; and so they brought [them] by their means, for all the kings of the Hittites and for the kings of Syria.

і падарожнічалі, і прыводзілі з Егіпта калясніцу за шэсцьсот сікляў, а каня за сто пяцьдзесят сікляў срэбра; праз свае рукі прыводзілі яны іх такім жа чынам ад усіх цароў хетэяў і сірыйцаў.
