Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,

І сталася па смерці Майсея, паслугача Госпада, сказаў Госпад да Ешуа, сына Нуна, памочніка Майсея, і казаў яму:

Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.

«Майсей, паслугач Мой, памёр; дык цяпер ты ўстань і перайдзі праз гэты Ярдан, ты і ўвесь народ гэты, у зямлю, якую Я дам сынам Ізраэля.

Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

Кожнае месца, на якое ступіць падэшва нагі вашай, Я даю вам, як Я сказаў Майсею.

From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.

Ад пустыні і ад Лібана гэтага аж да вялікай ракі, ракі Эўфрат, уся зямля хетэяў, і аж да Вялікага мора на захад сонца будзе мяжа ваша.

There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Ніхто не зможа супрацівіцца табе ва ўсе дні жыцця твайго; як Я быў з Майсеем, так буду і з табою; не пакіну цябе і не адступлю ад цябе.

Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.

Будзь цвёрды і мужны, бо ты гэтаму народу жэрабем

Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.

Толькі будзь цвёрды і вельмі мужны, каб пільнаваць і выконваць увесь закон, які пераказаў табе Майсей, паслугач Мой. Не адступіся ад яго ані ўправа, ані ўлева, каб мець поспех ва ўсім, да чаго будзеш імкнуцца.

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Няхай не адыдзе гэтая кніга закону ад вуснаў тваіх, але будзеш разважаць над ёй удзень і ўначы, каб пільнаваць і выконваць усё, што напісана ў ёй: тады будуць найшчаснейшыя дарогі твае і будзеш мець поспех.

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Ці не Я загадваю табе: “Будзь цвёрды і мужны, не палохайся і не бойся, бо з табою Госпад, Бог твой, ва ўсім, да чаго імкнешся”»?

Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,

І загадаў Ешуа кіраўнікам народа, кажучы: «Прайдзіце праз лагер і загадайце народу, і кажыце:

Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it.

“Прыгатуйце сабе ежу, бо па трэцім дні пяройдзеце праз гэты Ярдан, каб завалодаць зямлёю, якую Госпад, Бог ваш, дае вам ва ўласнасць”».

And to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh, spake Joshua, saying,

А пакаленню Рубэна і Гада і палове пакалення Манасы сказаў:

Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land.

«Прыпомніце загад, што вам загадаў Майсей, паслугач Госпада, кажучы: “Госпад, Бог ваш, даў вам супакой і гэтую зямлю”.

Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valour, and help them;

Жонкі вашы, і дзеці, і жывёла будуць прабываць у зямлі, якую даў вам Майсей за Ярданам; вы, аднак, пяройдзеце са зброяй перад братамі вашымі, усе здатныя да бою мужчыны, і будзеце дапамагаць ім,

Until the LORD have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD'S servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising.

аж пакуль дасць Госпад супакой братам вашым, як і вам даў, каб і яны таксама валодалі зямлёй, якую Госпад, Бог ваш, мае даць ім. І тады вернецеся ў зямлю валодання вашага, якую даў вам Майсей, паслугач Госпада, за Ярданам на ўсход сонца, і будзеце жыць у ёй».

And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go.

І адказалі яны Ешуа гэтымі словамі: «Усё, што ты загадаў нам, зробім і, куды пашлеш, пойдзем.

According as we hearkened unto Moses in all things, so will we hearken unto thee: only the LORD thy God be with thee, as he was with Moses.

Як слухалі мы ва ўсім Майсея, так будзем слухаць і цябе; толькі хай будзе Госпад, Бог твой, з табою, як быў з Майсеем.

Whosoever he be that doth rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken unto thy words in all that thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage.

Хто будзе пярэчыць вуснам тваім і не слухацца ўсіх слоў тваіх, што яму загадаеш, хай будзе пакараны смерцю; ты толькі будзь цвёрды і мужны».
