After this it came to pass that David [a]attacked the Philistines, subdued them, and took Gath and its towns from the hand of the Philistines.

И҆ бы́сть по си́хъ, и҆ поразѝ даві́дъ и҆ноплеме́нники, и҆ прогна̀ и҆̀хъ: и҆ взѧ̀ ге́ѳъ и҆ вє́си є҆гѡ̀ ѿ рѹкѝ и҆ноплеме́нничи.

Then he [b]defeated Moab, and the Moabites became David’s servants, and brought tribute.

И҆ поразѝ даві́дъ мѡа́ва, и҆ бѧ́хѹ мѡаві́ти рабѝ даві́дѹ приносѧ́ще є҆мѹ̀ да́нь.

And David [c]defeated [d]Hadadezer king of Zobah as far as Hamath, as he went to establish his power by the River Euphrates.

И҆ поразѝ даві́дъ а҆драаза́ра царѧ̀ сѹ́вска во є҆ма́ѳѣ, и҆дѹ́щѹ є҆мѹ̀ поста́вити рѹ́кѹ свою̀ над̾ рѣко́ю є҆ѵфра́томъ:

David took from him one thousand chariots, [e]seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand foot soldiers. Also David [f]hamstrung all the chariot horses, except that he spared enough of them for one hundred chariots.

и҆ взѧ̀ ѿ негѡ̀ даві́дъ ты́сѧщѹ колесни́цъ и҆ се́дмь ты́сѧщъ кѡ́нникъ и҆ два́десѧть ты́сѧщъ мѹже́й пѣшцє́въ, и҆ разбѝ даві́дъ всѧ҄ колєсни́цы, и҆ ѡ҆ста́ви ѿ ни́хъ сто̀ колесни́цъ, (и҆̀хже ѹ҆держа̀ себѣ̀).

When the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David killed twenty-two thousand of the Syrians.

И҆ прїи́де сѵ́ръ ѿ дама́ска, да по́мощь да́стъ а҆драаза́рѹ царю̀ сѹ́вскѹ, и҆ поразѝ даві́дъ ѿ сѵ́ровыхъ два́десѧть двѣ̀ ты́сѧщы мѹже́й:

Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became David’s servants, and brought tribute. So the Lord preserved David wherever he went.

и҆ поста́ви даві́дъ стра́жѹ въ сѷрі́и, ѩ҆́же бли́з̾ дама́ска, и҆ бѧ́хѹ даві́дѹ въ рабы҄ приносѧ́ще да҄ни: и҆ сп҃сѐ гд҇ь даві́да во всѣ́хъ, въ ни́хже хожда́ше.

And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.

И҆ взѧ̀ даві́дъ гри҄вны златы҄ѧ, и҆̀хже и҆мѣ́ша рабѝ а҆драаза́рѡвы, и҆ принесѐ ѧ҆̀ во ї҆ер҇ли́мъ.

Also from [g]Tibhath and from [h]Chun, cities of [i]Hadadezer, David brought a large amount of bronze, with which Solomon made the bronze [j]Sea, the pillars, and the articles of bronze.

И҆ и҆з̾ метаве́ѳа и҆ ѿ и҆збра́нныхъ градѡ́въ а҆драаза́ровыхъ взѧ̀ даві́дъ мѣ́ди мно́гѡ ѕѣлѡ̀, и҆з̾ неѧ́же сотворѝ соломѡ́нъ мо́ре мѣ́дѧно, и҆ столпы̀, и҆ сосѹ́ды мѣ҄дѧныѧ.

Now when [k]Tou king of Hamath heard that David had [l]defeated all the army of Hadadezer king of Zobah,

И҆ ѹ҆слы́ша ѳо́а ца́рь є҆ма́ѳскїй, ѩ҆́кѡ поразѝ даві́дъ всю̀ си́лѹ а҆драаза́ра царѧ̀ сѹ́вска,

he sent [m]Hadoram his son to King David, to greet him and bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and [n]defeated him (for Hadadezer had been at war with Tou); and Hadoram brought with him all kinds of articles of gold, silver, and bronze.

и҆ посла̀ а҆дѹра́ма сы́на своего̀ къ царю̀ даві́дѹ, да вопро́ситъ є҆го̀, ѩ҆̀же ѡ҆ ми́рѣ, и҆ благослови́ти є҆го̀ ѡ҆ се́мъ, ѩ҆́кѡ побѣдѝ а҆драаза́ра и҆ поразѝ є҆го̀, поне́же мѹ́жъ проти́венъ бѧ́ше ѳо́а а҆драаза́рѹ.

King David also dedicated these to the Lord, along with the silver and gold that he had brought from all these nations — from Edom, from Moab, from the people of Ammon, from the Philistines, and from Amalek.

И҆ всѧ҄ сосѹ́ды златы҄ѧ и҆ срє́брѧныѧ и҆ мѣ҄дѧныѧ, и҆ сїѧ҄ ѡ҆свѧтѝ ца́рь даві́дъ гд҇ѹ со сребро́мъ и҆ зла́томъ, ѩ҆̀же взѧ̀ ѿ всѣ́хъ ѩ҆зы҄къ, ѿ ї҆дѹме́и и҆ мѡа́ва, и҆ ѿ сынѡ́въ а҆ммѡ́нихъ и҆ ѿ и҆ноплемє́нникъ и҆ ѿ а҆мали́ка.

Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah killed eighteen thousand [o]Edomites in the Valley of Salt.

А҆ве́сса же сы́нъ сарѹ́їевъ поразѝ ї҆дѹме́ю во ю҆до́ли сла́нѣй, ѻ҆смьна́десѧть ты́сѧщъ:

He also put garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites became David’s servants. And the Lord preserved David wherever he went.

и҆ поста́ви во ю҆до́ли стра́жѹ, и҆ бѣ́ша всѝ ї҆дѹме́ане рабѝ даві́дѹ. И҆ сп҃са́ше гд҇ь даві́да во всѣ́хъ, въ ни́хже хожда́ше.

So David reigned over all Israel, and administered judgment and justice to all his people.

И҆ воцари́сѧ даві́дъ над̾ всѣ́мъ ї҆и҃лемъ, и҆ бѣ̀ творѧ̀ сѹ́дъ и҆ пра́вдѹ всѣ҄мъ лю́демъ свои҄мъ.

Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the army; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;

Ї҆ѡа́въ же сы́нъ сарѹ́їевъ (бы́сть) над̾ во́инствомъ, и҆ ї҆ѡсафа́тъ сы́нъ а҆хїлѹ́довъ памѧтопи́сецъ,

Zadok the son of Ahitub and [p]Abimelech the son of Abiathar were the priests; [q]Shavsha was the scribe;

и҆ садѡ́къ сы́нъ а҆хі́товъ и҆ а҆вїмеле́хъ сы́нъ а҆вїаѳа́ровъ свѧще́нницы, и҆ сѹса̀ книго́чїй,

Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David’s sons were [r]chief ministers at the king’s side.

и҆ ване́а сы́нъ ї҆ѡда́евъ над̾ хереѳі́емъ и҆ над̾ фелеѳі́емъ: сы́нове же даві́дѡвы пе́рвїи преє́мницы царє́вы.
