Paul and Silvanus and Timotheus to the assembly of Thessalonians in God our Father and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.

От Павла, Силуана и Тимофея. Церкви фессалоникийцев в Боге, нашем Отце, и Господе Иисусе Христе.

Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.

Благодать вам и мир от Бога Отца и Господа Иисуса Христа!

We ought to thank God always for you, brethren, even as it is meet, because your faith increases exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all towards one another abounds;

Мы всегда должны по достоинству благодарить Бога за вас, братья, потому что ваша вера растет все больше и больше, увеличивается и любовь каждого из вас друг ко другу.

so that we ourselves make our boast in you in the assemblies of God for your endurance and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations, which ye are sustaining;

Мы с гордостью говорим в Божьих церквах о вашем терпении и о вере, которую вы проявили во всех преследованиях и несчастьях, которые вы переносите.

a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, to the end that ye should be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for the sake of which ye also suffer;

Все это свидетельство тому, что Бог судит справедливо и что в конце концов вы будете признаны достойными Божьего Царства, за которое вы и страдали.

if at least [it is a] righteous thing with God to render tribulation to those that trouble you,

Бог справедлив, и Он отплатит несчастьями тем, кто причиняет несчастья вам,

and to you that are troubled repose with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven, with [the] angels of his power,

а нам с вами, перенесшим такие беды, Он даст покой. Это произойдет тогда, когда Господь Иисус придет с небес с могущественными ангелами

in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who know not God, and those who do not obey the glad tidings of our Lord Jesus Christ;

в пламени огня, чтобы наказать всех тех, кто не познал Бога и был непослушен Евангелию нашего Господа Иисуса Христа.

who shall pay the penalty [of] everlasting destruction from [the] presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his might,

Они будут наказаны вечной гибелью: будут навсегда отделены от Господа и от славы Его могущества.

when he shall have come to be glorified in his saints, and wondered at in all that have believed, (for our testimony to you has been believed,) in that day.

Это произойдет в тот день, когда Он придет, чтобы быть прославленным среди своего святого народа и вызвать восхищение всех верующих. Это относится и к вам, потому что вы поверили нашему свидетельству.

To which end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of the calling, and fulfil all [the] good pleasure of [his] goodness and [the] work of faith with power,

Поэтому мы постоянно молимся о вас, чтобы Бог наш счел вас достойными вашего призвания и чтобы своей силой Он исполнил каждое ваше доброе начинание и дело веры.

so that the name of our Lord Jesus [Christ] may be glorified in you and ye in him, according to the grace of our God, and of [the] Lord Jesus Christ.

Мы молимся о том, чтобы имя нашего Господа Иисуса было прославлено в вас, а вы были прославлены в Нем, по благодати нашего Бога и Господа Иисуса Христа.
