2 Chronicles 8 глава

And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the house of Jehovah and his own house,

 

На строительство храма Господа и царского дворца у Соломона ушло двадцать лет.

that the cities which Huram had given to Solomon, Solomon built them and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.

 

Затем Соломон заново отстроил города, которые дал ему Хирам, и разрешил израильтянам селиться в них.

And Solomon went to Hamath-Zobah, and overcame it.

 

После этого Соломон отправился в Емаф-Сува и захватил его.

And he built Tadmor, in the wilderness, and all the store-cities, which he built in Hamath.

 

Соломон также построил город Фадмор в пустыне. Он построил все города в Емафе для хранения запасов.

And he built upper Beth-Horon and lower Beth-Horon, fortified cities, with walls, gates, and bars;

 

Соломон заново отстроил города Верхний Беф-Орон и Нижний Беф-Орон и превратил эти города в сильные крепости с крепкими стенами, воротами и засовами.

and Baalath, and all the store-cities that Solomon had, and all the cities for chariots, and the cities for the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and on Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.

 

Соломон также заново отстроил город Ваалаф и все города для хранения запасов. Он построил города для своих колесниц и для конницы. И построил он всё то, что хотел построить в Иерусалиме, Ливане и на всей земле, где правил.

All the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of Israel,

 

В стране, где жил народ Израиля, оставалось много чужеземцев. Это были хеттеи, аморреи, ферезеи, евеи и иевусеи, которые не принадлежали к израильтянам.

their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel had not destroyed, upon them did Solomon impose tribute-service until this day.

 

Они были потомками народов, которые остались там и не были уничтожены Израилем. Соломон сделал эти народы своими рабами. Они и до сего дня всё ещё остаются рабами.

But of the children of Israel, of them did Solomon make no bondmen for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and his horsemen.

 

Израильтян же Соломон не делал рабами. Они были его воинами, вельможами, офицерами, военачальниками, командирами его колесниц и всадников.

And these were the chief of king Solomon's superintendents, two hundred and fifty, that ruled over the people.

 

Некоторые из израильтян были вождями главных приближённых Соломона. Этих вождей, руководивших народом, было двести пятьдесят человек.

And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David to the house which he had built for her; for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the [places] are holy to which the ark of Jehovah has come.

 

Соломон привёз дочь фараона из города Давида в дом, который он построил для неё. Соломон говорил: «Моя жена не должна жить в городе Давида, потому что те места, где находился святой ковчег, были святыми».

Then Solomon offered up burnt-offerings to Jehovah on the altar of Jehovah, which he had built before the porch;

 

Соломон приносил Господу жертвы всесожжения на алтаре Господа. Соломон построил этот алтарь перед верандой храма.

even as the duty of every day required, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and at the set feasts, three times in the year, -- at the feast of unleavened bread, and at the feast of weeks, and at the feast of tabernacles.

 

Он приносил жертвы каждый день, как завещал Моисей. Жертвы должны были приноситься по субботам, в праздники Новолуния и во время трёх ежегодных праздников: в праздник Пресных Хлебов, в праздник Жатвы и в праздник Укрытий.

And he appointed, according to the ordinance of David his father, the divisions of the priests for their service, and the Levites for their charges, to praise and serve before the priests, as the duty of every day required; and the doorkeepers by their divisions at every gate: for such was the commandment of David the man of God;

 

Соломон следовал указаниям своего отца Давида. Он выбрал группы священников для несения службы и левитов для исполнения их обязанностей. Левиты должны были прославлять Господа и помогать священникам каждый день исполнять то, что необходимо было делать во время службы в храме. Соломон выбрал привратников по группам служить у каждых ворот, потому что так завещал Давид, Божий человек.

and they did not depart from the commandment of the king to the priests and the Levites concerning any matter, nor concerning the treasures.

 

Израильтяне не меняли и не нарушали ни одного указания Соломона, данного священникам и левитам. Они не ослушались ни одного повеления, не изменили даже указания о хранении сокровищ.

And all the work of Solomon was prepared, to the day of the foundation of the house of Jehovah and to its completion. [So] the house of Jehovah was finished.

 

Так Соломон завершил строительство храма. Работа над ним продолжалась без задержек с самого начала до самого окончания строительства.

Then went Solomon to Ezion-geber, and to Eloth, on the seashore in the land of Edom.

 

Тогда Соломон отправился в города Ецион-Гавер и в Елаф, которые находились возле Красного моря в земле Едома.

And Huram sent him by his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and fetched thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.

 

Хирам послал Соломону корабли, которыми управляли люди Хирама, имевшие опыт вождения кораблей по морю. Люди Хирама отправились со слугами Соломона в Офир и привезли оттуда 450 талантов золота, доставив его царю Соломону.
