Сыновьями Ноя были: Сим, Хам и Иафет.

Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

Сыновьями Иафета были: Гомер, Магог, Мадай, Иаван, Фувал, Мешех и Фирас.

The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

Сыновьями Гомера были: Аскеназ, Рифат и Фогарма.

And the sons of Gomer; Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

Сыновьями Иавана были: Елиса, Фарсис, Киттим и Доданим.

And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

Сыновьями Хама были: Хуш (Ефиопия), Мицраим (Египет), Фут и Ханаан.

The sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

Сыновьями Хуша были: Сева, Хавила, Савта, Раама и Савтеха. Сыновьями Раамы были Шева и Дедан.

And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.

Хуш стал отцом Нимрода. Нимрод стал великим воином в мире.

And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth.

Мицраим (Египет) был отцом народов Лудима, Анамима, Легавима, Нафтухима,

And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,

Патрусима, Каслухима, от которого произошли филистимляне, и Кафторима.

And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (of whom came the Philistines,) and Caphthorim.

Ханаан был отцом Сидона, своего первенца. Ханаан был также отцом хеттеян,

And Canaan begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,

иевусеев, аморреев, гергесеев,

The Jebusite also, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,

евеев, аркеев, синеев,

And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

арвадеев, цемареев и хамафеев.

And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

Сыновьями Сима были: Елам, Ассур, Арфаксад, Луд и Арам. Сыновьями Арама были Уц, Хул, Гефер и Мешех.

The sons of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.

Арфаксад был отцом Сала. Сала был отцом Евера.

And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.

У Евера было два сына. Одного сына звали Фалек, ибо в то время, когда он жил, люди на земле были разделены и говорили на разных языках. Брата Фалека звали Иоктан.

And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was Joktan.

Иоктан был отцом Алмодада, Шалефа, Хацармавета, Иераха,

And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

Гадорама, Узала, Дикла,

Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,

Евала, Авимаила, Шева,

And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

Офира, Хавила и Иовава. Все они были сыновьями Иоктана.

And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

Сим, Арфаксад, Сала,

Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,

Евер, Фалек, Рагав,

Eber, Peleg, Reu,

Серух, Нахор, Фарра

Serug, Nahor, Terah,

и Аврам. (Аврама также называли Авраам.)

Abram; the same is Abraham.

Сыновьями Авраама были: Исаак и Измаил.

The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael.

Вот их потомки: Первым сыном Измаила был Наваиоф. Другими сыновьями Измаила были Кедар, Адбеел, Мивсам,

These are their generations: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

Мишма, Дума, Масса, Хадад, Фема,

Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,

Иетур, Нафиш и Кедма. Это были сыновья Измаила.

Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.

Хеттура была наложницей Авраама. Она родила Зимрана, Иокшана, Медана, Мадиана, Ишбака и Шуаха. Сыновьями Иокшана были: Шева и Дедан.

Now the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba, and Dedan.

Сыновьями Мадиана были: Ефа, Ефер, Ханох, Авида и Елдага. Эти люди были потомками Хеттуры.

And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these are the sons of Keturah.

Авраам был отцом Исаака. Сыновьями Исаака были Исав и Израиль.

And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac; Esau and Israel.

Сыновьями Исава были: Елифаз, Рагуил, Иеус, Иеглом и Корей.

The sons of Esau; Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

Сыновьями Елифаза были: Феман, Омар, Цефо, Гафам и Кеназ. Ещё у Елифаза и Фимны был сын Амалик.

The sons of Eliphaz; Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.

Сыновьями Рагуила были: Нахаф, Зерах, Шимма и Миза.

The sons of Reuel; Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

Сыновьями Сеира были: Лотан, Шовал, Цивеон, Ана, Дишон, Ецер и Дишан.

And the sons of Seir; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.

Сыновьями Лотана были: Хори и Темам. У Лотана была сестра, по имени Фимна.

And the sons of Lotan; Hori, and Homam: and Timna was Lotan's sister.

Сыновьями Шовала были: Алеан, Манахаф, Евал, Шефо и Онам. Сыновьями Цивеона были: Аиа и Ана.

The sons of Shobal; Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon; Aiah, and Anah.

Сыном Аны был Дишон. Сыновьями Дишона были: Хемдан, Ешбан, Ифран и Херан.

The sons of Anah; Dishon. And the sons of Dishon; Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

Сыновьями Ецера были: Билган, Зааван и Акан. Сыновьями Дишана были: Уц и Аран.

The sons of Ezer; Bilhan, and Zavan, and Jakan. The sons of Dishan; Uz, and Aran.

В Эдоме цари появились намного раньше, чем в Израиле. Вот имена царей Эдома: Первым царём был Бела, сын Веора. Город Белы назывался Дингава.

Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel; Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

Когда Бела умер, новым царём стал Иовав, сын Зераха. Иовав пришёл из Восоры.

And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

Когда Иовав умер, новым царём стал Хушам. Хушам был из земли Феманитян.

And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.

Когда Хушам умер, новым царём стал Гадад, сын Бедада. Гадад разбил мадианитян на территории Моава. Город Гадада назывался Авив.

And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.

Когда Гадад умер, новым царём стал Самла. Самла был из Масреки.

And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

Когда Самла умер, новым царём стал Саул. Саул был из Реховофа, возле реки Евфрат.

And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

Когда Саул умер, новым царём стал Баал-Ханан, сын Ахбора.

And when Shaul was dead, Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

Когда Баал-Ханан умер, новым царём стал Гадар. Город Гадара назывался Пау. Жену Гадара звали Мегетавеель. Она была дочерью Матреды. Матреда была дочерью Мезагава.

And when Baalhanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

Затем Гадар умер. Вождями Эдома были Фимна, Алва, Иетеф,

Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,

Оливема, Эла, Пинон,

Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

Кеназ, Феман, Мивцар,

Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,

Магдиил и Ирам. Вот список вождей Эдома.

Duke Magdiel, duke Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.
