Adam, Sheth, Enosh,

Henoch, Methuselah, Lamech,

Ной. Сыновьями Ноя были: Сим, Хам и Иафет.

Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

Сыновьями Иафета были: Гомер, Магог, Мадай, Иаван, Фувал, Мешех и Фирас.

The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

Сыновьями Гомера были: Аскеназ, Рифат и Фогарма.

And the sons of Gomer; Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

Сыновьями Иавана были: Елиса, Фарсис, Киттим и Роданим.

And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

Сыновьями Хама были: Куш, Мицраим, Фут и Ханаан.

The sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

Сыновьями Куша были: Сева, Хавила, Савта, Раама и Савтеха. Сыновьями Раамы были: Шева и Дедан.

And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.

У Куша был также сын по имени Нимрод, который был самым могучим воином на земле.

And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth.

От Мицраима произошли народы Лудим, Анамим, Легавим, Нафтухим,

And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,

Патрусим, Каслухим и Кафторим, от которого произошли филистимляне.

And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (of whom came the Philistines,) and Caphthorim.

Ханаан был отцом Сидона, своего первенца, а также Хета,

And Canaan begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,

Иевусея, Аморрея, Гергесея,

The Jebusite also, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,

Евея, Аркея, Синея,

And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

Арвадея, Цимарея и Хамафея.

And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

Сыновьями Сима были: Елам, Ассур, Арфаксад, Луд и Арам. Сыновьями Арама были: Уц, Хул, Гефер и Мешех.

The sons of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.

Арфаксад был отцом Салы. Сала был отцом Евера.

And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.

У Евера родились два сына. Одного звали Фалек, потому что при его жизни земля была разделена и люди говорили на разных языках; имя же его брата было Иоктан.

And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was Joktan.

У Иоктана родились сыновья Алмодад, Шалеф, Хацармавеф, Иерах,

And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

Гадорам, Узал, Дикла,

Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,

Гевал, Авимаил, Сева,

And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

Офир, Хавила и Иовав. Все они были сыновьями Иоктана.

And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

Сим, Арфаксад, Сала,

Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,

Евер, Фалек, Рагав,

Eber, Peleg, Reu,

Серух, Нахор, Тера

Serug, Nahor, Terah,

и Аврам. (Аврама также называли Авраам).

Abram; the same is Abraham.

Сыновьями Авраама были: Исаак и Измаил.

The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael.

Вот их потомки: первым сыном Измаила был Наваиоф. Другими сыновьями Измаила были: Кедар, Адбеел, Мивсам,

These are their generations: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

Мишма, Дума, Масса, Гадад, Фема,

Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,

Иетур, Нафиш и Кедма. Это были сыновья Измаила.

Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.

Кетура была наложницей Авраама. Она родила Зимрана, Иокшана, Медана, Мадиама, Ишбака и Шуаха. Иокшан был отцом Севы и Дедана.

Now the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba, and Dedan.

Сыновьями Мадиама были: Ефа, Ефер, Ханох, Авида и Елдага. Эти люди были потомками Кетуры.

And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these are the sons of Keturah.

Авраам был отцом Исаака. Сыновьями Исаака были: Исав и Израиль.

And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac; Esau and Israel.

Сыновьями Исава были: Елифаз, Рагуил, Иеус, Иеглом и Корей.

The sons of Esau; Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

Сыновьями Елифаза были: Феман, Омар, Цефо, Гафам и Кеназ. Ещё у Елифаза и Фимны был сын Амалик.

The sons of Eliphaz; Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.

Сыновьями Рагуила были: Нахаф, Зара, Шамма и Миза.

The sons of Reuel; Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

Сыновьями Сеира были: Лотан, Шовал, Цивеон, Ана, Дишон, Ецер и Дишан.

And the sons of Seir; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.

Сыновьями Лотана были: Хори и Гомам. У Лотана была сестра по имени Фимна.

And the sons of Lotan; Hori, and Homam: and Timna was Lotan's sister.

Сыновьями Шовала были: Алеан, Манахаф, Гевал, Шефо и Онам. Сыновьями Цивеона были: Айя и Ана.

The sons of Shobal; Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon; Aiah, and Anah.

Сыном Аны был Дишон. Сыновьями Дишона были: Хемдан, Ешбан, Ифран и Керан.

The sons of Anah; Dishon. And the sons of Dishon; Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

Сыновьями Ецера были: Билган, Зааван и Акан. Сыновьями Дишана были: Уц и Аран.

The sons of Ezer; Bilhan, and Zavan, and Jakan. The sons of Dishan; Uz, and Aran.

В Едоме цари появились намного раньше, чем в Израиле. Вот имена царей Едома: первым царём был Бела, сын Веора. Город Белы назывался Дингава.

Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel; Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

Когда Бела умер, новым царём стал Иовав, сын Зара. Иовав пришёл из Восоры.

And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

Когда Иовав умер, новым царём стал Хушам, выходец из земли феманитян.

And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.

Когда Хушам умер, новым царём стал Гадад, сын Бедада. Гадад победил мадиамитян в Моавской земле. Город Гадада назывался Авиф.

And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.

Когда Гадад умер, новым царём стал Самла из Масреки.

And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

Когда Самла умер, новым царём стал Саул из Реховофа, который располагался на реке Евфрат.

And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

Когда Саул умер, новым царём стал Ваал-Ханан, сын Ахбора.

And when Shaul was dead, Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

Когда Ваал-Ханан умер, новым царём стал Гадад из города Пау. Жену Гадада звали Мегетавеель. Она была дочерью Матреды. Матреда была дочерью Мезагава.

And when Baalhanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

Затем Гадад умер. Вождями Едома были: Фимна, Алва, Иетеф,

Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,

Оливема, Елах, Пинон,

Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

Кеназ, Феман, Мивцар,

Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,

Магдиил и Ирам. Вот список вождей Едома.

Duke Magdiel, duke Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.
