Послание к Евреям

В прошлом Бог многократно и различными способами говорил с нашими предками через пророков.

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

В эти же последние дни Он говорил с нами через Своего Сына, Которого Он избрал наследником всего и через Которого сотворил мир.

Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Сын — сияние славы Божьей и точное подобие сущности Бога. Он поддерживает всё Своим могущественным словом. Очистив людей от их грехов, Он воссел по правую руку Всевышнего на небесах.

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Он превзошёл Ангелов, и имя Его выше, чем их имена.

Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Потому что никогда ни одному из Ангелов не было сказано: «Ты — Сын Мой. Сегодня Я стал Отцом Твоим». И никому из Ангелов не сказал Бог: «Я стану Отцом Его, и Он станет Сыном Моим».

For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

И ещё сказал Бог, приведя Первенца Своего в мир: «Пусть все Ангелы Божьи поклоняются Ему».

And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

Вот что говорит Бог об Ангелах: «Бог делает Ангелов Своих ветрами и слуг Своих — языками пламени».

And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

О Сыне же Он говорит:

But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

Ты всегда любил праведность и ненавидел грех. Вот почему Бог, Твой Бог, даровал Тебе радость большую, чем тем, кто с Тобой».

Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

И ещё сказал Бог: «Вначале, Господи, Ты заложил основание земли и сотворил небеса Своими руками.

And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:

Всё это преходяще, Ты же — вечен. Всё это обветшает подобно одежде.

They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;

Ты свернёшь её как плащ, и всё сменится подобно одежде. Ты же никогда не изменишься, и жизни Твоей не будет конца».

And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

Бог никогда не говорил подобное ни одному из Ангелов: «Сядь по правую руку от Меня, пока Я не повергну врагов твоих к ногам Твоим».

But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

Разве Ангелы не духи, находящиеся на службе у Бога, и разве они не посланы служить тем, кто унаследуют спасение?

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
