тогда я увидел другого могучего ангела, спускавшегося с небес. Он был облачён в облако, вокруг головы его была радуга. И лицо его было словно солнце, а ноги его были словно огненные столпы.

I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire.

В руке у него был небольшой развёрнутый свиток. Он поставил свою правую ногу на море, а левую — на сушу,

He had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,

и закричал он громким голосом, подобным рычанию льва. И когда закричал он, то семь громов подали свои голоса.

and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, seven thunders uttered their voices.

Когда же заговорили семь громов, я приготовился писать, но услышал, как голос с небес сказал: "Сохрани в тайне, что сказали семь громов и не записывай это".

Now when the seven thunders [a]uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying [b]to me, “Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.”

И тогда ангел, которого я видел стоящим на море и на суше, поднял свою правую руку к небу

The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his [c]hand to heaven

и поклялся именем Живущего во веки веков, Который создал небо и всё сущее на нём, и землю и всё сущее на ней, и море и всё сущее в нём: "Не будет больше задержки:

and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer,

когда настанет время седьмому ангелу быть услышанным, когда он приготовится затрубить в трубу, то свершится тайна Божия, которую благовествовал Он Своим слугам, пророкам".

but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets.

И тогда голос, который я раньше услышал с небес, снова обратился ко мне и сказал: "Иди, возьми развёрнутый свиток из рук ангела, стоящего на суше и на море".

Then the voice which I heard from heaven spoke to me again and said, “Go, take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the earth.”

И подошёл я к ангелу и попросил Его дать мне свиток. Он сказал мне: "Возьми свиток и съешь его. В желудке у тебя будет от него горько, но во рту будет сладко, словно от мёда".

So I went to the angel and said to him, “Give me the little book.” And he said to me, “Take and eat it; and it will make your stomach bitter, but it will be as sweet as honey in your mouth.”

И взял я свиток из руки ангела и съел его. Во рту моём было сладко от него, как от мёда, но как только я съел его, стало горько у меня в желудке.

Then I took the little book out of the angel’s hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, my stomach became bitter.

И сказал он мне тогда: "Ты должен снова пророчествовать о многих народах, племенах, языках и царях".

And [d]he said to me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings.”
