Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

Павел, Силуан и Тимофей — Фессалоникийской церкви Бога, Отца нашего, и Господа Иисуса Христа.

Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Да пребудет с вами благодать и мир Бога, Отца нашего, и Господа Иисуса Христа!

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

Мы по достоинству считаем своим долгом, братья, всегда благодарить Бога за то, что преумножается вера ваша и у всех вас возрастает взаимная любовь друг к другу,

So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

так что мы сами хвалим вас в церквах Божьих за веру вашу и стойкость во всех претерпеваемых вами преследованиях и мучениях,

Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

которые есть залог того, что во время праведного суда Божьего вы будете удостоены Царства Божьего, ради которого и страдаете,

Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

ибо по-Божьему справедливо мучителям вашим воздать мучением,

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

а вам, претерпевающим мучения, вместе с нами — блаженством, когда Господь Иисус сойдет с небес вместе с воинством ангелов Его

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

в огненном сиянии и покарает тех, которые не познали Бога и не приняли Евангелие Господа нашего Иисуса, —

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

они будут осуждены на вечные муки и отвержены от Господа и величия славы Его

When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

в тот день, когда Он придет, и все уверовавшие святые Его воздадут хвалу и славу Ему. И так как вы поверили тому, что мы проповедовали у вас,

Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

мы всегда молимся о вас, чтобы Бог наш удостоил вас призвания и исполнил вас желанием и силой совершать добрые дела веры,

That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

дабы тем самым вы прославили имя Господа нашего Иисуса Христа, а по благодати Бога нашего и Господа Иисуса Христа — и вы прославились в Нём.
