The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech and Tiras.

Сини Яфетові: Гомер, Магог, Мадай, Яван (Елися), Тувал, Месех та Тирас.

The sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, Diphath, and Togarmah.

Сини Гомерові: Аскеназ, Рифат, і Тогарма.

The sons of Javan were Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim and Rodanim.

Сини Яванові: Елиса, Тарсис, Киттим і Доданим.

The sons of Ham were Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

Сини Хамові: Куш, Мизраїм, Фут і Канаан.

The sons of Cush were Seba, Havilah, Sabta, Raama and Sabteca; and the sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.

Сини Кушові: Себа, Гавила, Сабта, Раама та Сабтеха. Сини Раамові: Шева й Дедан.

Cush became the father of Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one in the earth.

Від Куша народився ще й Нимрод; цей почав бути велетнем на землї.

Mizraim became the father of the people of Lud, Anam, Lehab, Naphtuh,

Від Мизраїма народились: Лудима (Лудій), Анамій, Легавій, Нафтухим,

Pathrus, Casluh, from which the Philistines came, and Caphtor.

Патрусїй, Каслугій, од которого настали Филистимцї, та Кафторій.

Canaan became the father of Sidon, his firstborn, Heth,

Від Канаана народився Сидон, найстарший в його, Хет,

and the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites,

Евузій, Аморій, Гергазій,

the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,

Гевій, Аркей, Синей,

the Arvadites, the Zemarites and the Hamathites.

Арвадїй, Земарій та Гаматїй.

The sons of Shem were Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether and Meshech.

Сини Семові: Елам, Ассур, Арфаксад, Луд та Арам. (Сини Арамові): Уз, Хул, Гетер та Мешех (Маса).

Arpachshad became the father of Shelah and Shelah became the father of Eber.

Від Арфаксада (народився Каїнан, а від Каїнана) народився Села, а від Сели народився Ебер.

Two sons were born to Eber, the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided, and his brother’s name was Joktan.

Від Ебера народились два сини: один на імення Фалек, через те, що за його часів була роздїлена земля, його брат на імення Йокман.

Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,

Від Йокмана народились Алмодад, Шалеф, Газармавет, Ерах,

Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,

Гадорам, Узал, Дикла,

Ebal, Abimael, Sheba,

Обаль, Абимавель, Шева,

Ophir, Havilah and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.

Офир, Гавил та Йовав. Усї цї сини Йокманові.

Shem, Arpachshad, Shelah,

(А сини Семові): Арфаксад, Каїнан, Села,

Eber, Peleg, Reu,

Ебер, Пелег, Регов,

Serug, Nahor, Terah,

Серуг, Нахор, Тара,

Abram, that is Abraham.

Аврам, се Авраам.

The sons of Abraham were Isaac and Ishmael.

Сини Авраамові: Ізаак та Ізмаїл.

These are their genealogies: the firstborn of Ishmael was Nebaioth, then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,

Оце й їх родовід: Найстарший син Ізмаїлів Набайот, по йому Кедар, Адбеєль, Мивсам,

Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema,

Мисма, Дума, Масса, Хадад, Тема,

Jetur, Naphish and Kedemah; these were the sons of Ishmael.

Етур, Нафис, і Кедма. Це сини Ізмаїлові.

The sons of Keturah, Abraham’s concubine, whom she bore, were Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan were Sheba and Dedan.

Сини Хеттури, Авраамової наліжницї: вона породила Зимрана, Йоксана, Медана, Мадіяна, Ишбака та Шуаха. Сини Йоксанові: Себа та Дедан. (Сини Деданові: Рагуїл, Навдеїл, Ассурим, Летусим, Леюмим (Астусіїм, Асомин).

The sons of Midian were Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida and Eldaah. All these were the sons of Keturah.

Сини Мадіянові: Ефа, Ефер, Ганох, Абида та Ельдага. Усе це сини Хеттурині.

Abraham became the father of Isaac. The sons of Isaac were Esau and Israel.

А від Авраама народився Ізаак. Сини Ізаакові: Езав та Ізраїль.

The sons of Esau were Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Jalam and Korah.

Сини Езавові: Елифас, Регуїл, Егус, Еглом та Кораг.

The sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zephi, Gatam, Kenaz, Timna and Amalek.

Сини Елифасові: Теман, Омар, Зефо, Гаєтам, Канас; (Тимна ж Елифасова наложниця, породила йому) Амалеха.

The sons of Reuel were Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah.

Сини Рагуїлові: Нахат, Зерах, Шамма та Миза.

The sons of Seir were Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer and Dishan.

Сини Сеїрові: Лотан, Собаль, Зибеон, Ана, Дисон, Езер та Дисан.

The sons of Lotan were Hori and Homam; and Lotan’s sister was Timna.

Сини Лотанові: Горій та Гемам; а сестра в Лотана: Тимна.

The sons of Shobal were Alian, Manahath, Ebal, Shephi and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon were Aiah and Anah.

Сини Собамові: Алван, Манагат, Ебаль, Сефо та Онам. Сини Зибеонові: Ая та Ана.

The son of Anah was Dishon. And the sons of Dishon were Hamran, Eshban, Ithran and Cheran.

Дїти Анині: Дисон та (Оголибама, Анина дочка). Сини Дисонові: Гемдан, Ешдан, Ітран та Керан.

The sons of Ezer were Bilhan, Zaavan and Jaakan. The sons of Dishan were Uz and Aran.

Сини Езерові: Белган, Саван та Акан. Сини Дисанові: Уз та Аран.

Now these are the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before any king of the sons of Israel reigned. Bela was the son of Beor, and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

Оце царі, що царювали в краю Едомі, ще переднїйше нїж зацарював царь над синами Ізраїля: Бела, Бейорів син, а назвище його міста-Динхаба;

When Bela died, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah became king in his place.

І помер Бела, і зацарював по йому Йобаб, син Серахів із Бозри.

When Jobab died, Husham of the land of the Temanites became king in his place.

І помер Йобаб, і зацарював по йому Гусам, з краю Теман.

When Husham died, Hadad the son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the field of Moab, became king in his place; and the name of his city was Avith.

І помер Гусам, і став по йому царем Гадад, син Бедадів, котрий розбив Мадіянїїв на полі Моаб; назва міста його: Авит.

When Hadad died, Samlah of Masrekah became king in his place.

І помер Гадад, і зацарював по йому Самла з Масреки.

When Samlah died, Shaul of Rehoboth by the River became king in his place.

І помер Самла, і зацарював по йому Саул з Рехобота, що над річкою.

When Shaul died, Baal-hanan the son of Achbor became king in his place.

І помер Саул, і став царем по йому Бааль-Ганан, син Ахборів.

When Baal-hanan died, Hadad became king in his place; and the name of his city was Pai, and his wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

І помер Бааль-Ганан, і зацарював по йому Гадар; назвище його міста Пау; жінка ж його на ймя Мегетабееля, дочка Матредова, дочка Мезагабова.

Then Hadad died. Now the chiefs of Edom were: chief Timna, chief Aliah, chief Jetheth,

І помер Гадар. І були старшини в Едома: старшина Тимна, старшина Алва, старшина Етет.

chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon,

Старшина Оголибама: старшина Ела, старшина Пинон,

chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar,

Старшина Кенас, старшина Темон, старшина Мебзар,

chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom.

Старшина Магдієль, старшина Ірам; оце старшини Ідумейські.
