The Lord called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting. He said,

Und der HERR rief Moseⓐ, und er redete zu ihm aus dem Zelt der Begegnungⓑ:

“Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When anyone among you brings an offering to the Lord, bring as your offering an animal from either the herd or the flock.

Rede zu den Söhnen Israel und sage zu ihnen: Wenn ein Mensch von euch dem HERRN eine Opfergabe[1]ⓒ darbringen will, sollt ihr vom Vieh, von den Rindern und Schafen, eure Opfergabe darbringenⓓ.

“ ‘If the offering is a burnt offering from the herd, you are to offer a male without defect. You must present it at the entrance to the tent of meeting so that it will be acceptable to the Lord.

Wenn seine Opfergabe ein Brandopferⓔ von den Rindern ist, soll er sie darbringen, ein männliches ‹Tier› ohne Fehlerⓕ. Am Eingang des Zeltes der Begegnung soll er sie darbringen, zum Wohlgefallen für ihn vor dem HERRN.

You are to lay your hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on your behalf to make atonement for you.

Und er soll seine Hand auf den Kopf des Brandopfers legenⓖ, und es wird als wohlgefällig angenommen werden für ihn, um Sühnung für ihn zu erwirkenⓗ.

You are to slaughter the young bull before the Lord, and then Aaron’s sons the priests shall bring the blood and splash it against the sides of the altar at the entrance to the tent of meeting.

Und er soll das junge Rind[2] schlachten vor dem HERRN. Und die Söhne Aarons, die Priester, sollen das Blut herzubringen und das Blut ringsherum an den Altar sprengenⓘ, der am Eingang des Zeltes der Begegnung ‹steht›ⓙ.

You are to skin the burnt offering and cut it into pieces.

Und er soll dem Brandopfer die Haut abziehen und es in seine Stücke zerlegen.

The sons of Aaron the priest are to put fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.

Und die Söhne Aarons, des Priesters[3], sollen Feuer auf den Altar legen und Holz auf dem Feuer zurichten.

Then Aaron’s sons the priests shall arrange the pieces, including the head and the fat, on the wood that is burning on the altar.

Und die Söhne Aarons, die Priester, sollen die Stücke, den Kopf und das Fett auf dem Holz zurichten, über dem Feuer, das auf dem Altar istⓚ.

You are to wash the internal organs and the legs with water, and the priest is to burn all of it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.

Und seine Eingeweide und seine Unterschenkel soll er mit Wasser waschen. Und der Priester soll das Ganze auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen lassenⓛ: ein Brandopfer ‹ist es›, ein Feueropfer als wohlgefälliger Geruch[4] für den HERRNⓜ.

“ ‘If the offering is a burnt offering from the flock, from either the sheep or the goats, you are to offer a male without defect.

Und wenn seine Opfergabe vom Kleinvieh ist, von den Schafen oder von den Ziegen, als Brandopfer, soll er sie darbringen als ein männliches ‹Tier› ohne Fehlerⓝ.

You are to slaughter it at the north side of the altar before the Lord, and Aaron’s sons the priests shall splash its blood against the sides of the altar.

Und er soll es[5] schlachten an der Nordseite des Altars, vor dem HERRN; und die Söhne Aarons, die Priester, sollen sein Blut ringsherum an den Altar sprengen.

You are to cut it into pieces, and the priest shall arrange them, including the head and the fat, on the wood that is burning on the altar.

Und er soll es in seine Stücke zerlegen mit seinem Kopf und seinem Fett. Und der Priester soll sie auf dem Holz zurichten, über dem Feuer, das auf dem Altar ist.

“ ‘If the offering to the Lord is a burnt offering of birds, you are to offer a dove or a young pigeon.

Und wenn seine Opfergabe für den HERRN ein Brandopfer von den Vögeln ist, dann soll er von den Turteltauben oder von den jungen Taubenⓠ seine Opfergabe darbringen.

The priest shall bring it to the altar, wring off the head and burn it on the altar; its blood shall be drained out on the side of the altar.

Und der Priester bringe sie zum Altar und kneife[7] ihr den Kopf ab und lasse sie auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen, und ihr Blut soll an die Wand des Altars ausgedrückt werden.

He is to remove the crop and the feathersa and throw them down east of the altar where the ashes are.

Und er trenne ihren Kropf mit seinem Inhalt[8] ab und werfe ihn neben den Altar nach Osten, an den Ort der Fettasche[9]ⓡ.

He shall tear it open by the wings, not dividing it completely, and then the priest shall burn it on the wood that is burning on the altar. It is a burnt offering, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.

Und er soll sie an den Flügeln einreißen, er soll sie nicht zertrennenⓢ. Und der Priester soll sie auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen lassen, auf dem Holz, das über dem Feuer ist: ein Brandopfer ist es, ein Feueropfer als wohlgefälliger Geruch[10] für den HERRN.ⓣ
