Dies ist das Wort des HERRN, welches geschah zu Micha aus Moreschet zur Zeit des Jotam, Ahas und Hiskia, der Könige von Juda, das er geschaut hat über Samaria und Jerusalem.

The word of Jehovah that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, [and] Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

Höret, alle Völker! Merk auf, Land und alles, was darinnen ist! Denn Gott der HERR hat mit euch zu reden, ja, der Herr aus seinem heiligen Tempel.

Hear, ye peoples, all of you; hearken, O earth, and all that is therein: and let the Lord Jehovah be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple!

Denn siehe, der HERR wird herausgehen aus seiner Wohnung und herabfahren und treten auf die Höhen der Erde,

For behold, Jehovah cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.

daß die Berge unter ihm schmelzen und die Täler sich spalten, gleichwie Wachs vor dem Feuer zerschmilzt, wie die Wasser, die talwärts stürzen.

And the mountains shall be melted under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, as waters poured down a steep place.

Das alles um Jakobs Übertretung willen und um der Sünden willen des Hauses Israel. Was ist aber die Übertretung Jakobs? Ist's nicht Samaria? Was sind aber die Opferhöhen Judas? Ist's nicht Jerusalem?

For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. Whence is the transgression of Jacob? is it not [from] Samaria? And whence are the high places of Judah? are they not [from] Jerusalem?

Und ich will Samaria zu Steinhaufen im Felde machen, die man für die Weinberge nimmt, und will seine Steine ins Tal schleifen und es bis auf den Grund bloßlegen.

Therefore will I make Samaria as a heap of the field, as plantings of a vineyard; and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will lay bare the foundations thereof.

Alle seine Götzen sollen zerbrochen und all sein Hurenlohn soll mit Feuer verbrannt werden. Und ich will alle seine Götzenbilder zerstören; denn sie sind von Hurenlohn zusammengebracht und sollen auch wieder zu Hurenlohn werden.

And all her graven images shall be beaten to pieces, and all her harlot-gifts shall be burned with fire, and all her idols will I make a desolation; for of the hire of a harlot hath she gathered [them], and to a harlot's hire shall they return.

Darüber muß ich klagen und heulen, ich muß barfuß und bloß dahergehen; ich muß klagen wie die Schakale und jammern wie die Strauße:

For this will I lament, and I will howl; I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the jackals, and mourning like the ostriches.

Denn unheilbar ist die Plage des HERRN: sie kommt bis nach Juda, sein Schlag reicht bis an meines Volkes Tor, bis hin nach Jerusalem.

For her wounds are incurable; for it is come even unto Judah, it reacheth unto the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.

Verkündet's ja nicht in Gat; laßt euer Weinen nicht hören; in Bet-Leafra wälzt euch im Staube!

Tell it not in Gath, weep not at all; at Beth-le-aphrah roll thyself in the dust.

Ihr Einwohner von Schafir müßt dahin mit allen Schanden; die Einwohner von Zaanan werden nicht ausziehen; das Leid Bet-Ezels wird euch wehren, daß ihr euch da lagert.

Pass away, inhabitress of Shaphir, in nakedness [and] shame. The inhabitress of Zaanan is not come forth for the lamentation of Beth-ezel: he will take from you its shelter.

Die Einwohner von Marot vermögen sich nicht zu trösten; denn es wird das Unglück vom HERRN kommen auch bis an die Tore Jerusalems.

For the inhabitress of Maroth waited anxiously for good; but evil hath come down from Jehovah unto the gate of Jerusalem.

Du Stadt Lachisch, spanne Rosse an und fahre davon; denn du bist für die Tochter Zion der Anfang zur Sünde, und in dir finden sich die Übertretungen Israels.

Bind the chariot to the swift steed, O inhabitress of Lachish: she was the beginning of sin to the daughter of Zion; for in thee were found the transgressions of Israel.

Du wirst dich scheiden müssen von Moreschet-Gat; die Häuser von Achsib werden den Königen von Israel zum Trug werden.

Therefore shalt thou give parting-gifts to Moresheth-Gath: the houses of Achzib shall be a lie to the kings of Israel.

Ich will über dich, Marescha, den rechten Erben bringen, und die Herrlichkeit Israels soll kommen bis Adullam.

I will yet bring unto thee an heir, O inhabitress of Mareshah; the glory of Israel shall come even unto Adullam.

Laß dir die Haare abscheren und geh kahl um deiner verzärtelten Kinder willen; ja, mach dich kahl wie ein Geier, denn sie sind gefangen von dir weggeführt.

Make thee bald, and poll thee for the children of thy delights; enlarge thy baldness as the eagle, for they are gone into captivity from thee.
