The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin,

Словы Ярэмы Гілчанка ізь сьвятароў, што ўв Анафофе, у зямлі Веняміновай,

to whom the word of the Lord came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.

Да каторага было слова СПАДАРОВА за дзён Ёсі Амосёнка, караля Юдэйскага, трынанцатага году дзяржавы ягонае.

It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.

І яно было за дзён Егоякіма Ёсянка, караля Юдэйскага, аж да канца адзінанцатага году Сэдэкі Ёсянка, караля Юдэйскага, аж да перасяленьня Ерузаліму ў пятым месяцу.

Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

І было слова СПАДАРОВА да мяне, кажучы:

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified[a] you; I [b]ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

«Уперад, чымся Я ўхармаваў цябе ў жываце, Я знаў цябе, і ўперад, чымся ты вышаў з улоньня, Я пасьвяціў цябе; за прароку народам Я даў цябе».

Then said I: “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.”

І сказаў: «Ах, Спадару СПАДАРУ, вось, я ня ўмею гукаць, бо дзяцюк я».

But the Lord said to me: “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak.

І сказаў СПАДАР імне: «Не кажы: "Я дзяцюк", бо да ўсіх, куды Я пашлю цябе, ты пойдзеш, і, што Я раскажу табе, будзеш гукаць.

Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you,” says the Lord.

Ня бойся відаў іхных, бо з табою Я, каб вывальніць цябе», — агалашае СПАДАР.

Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

І выцягнуў СПАДАР руку Сваю, і даткнуўся да вуснаў маіх, і сказаў імне СПАДАР: «Я ўлажыў словы Свае ў вусны твае.

See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.”

Гля, сядні Я прызначыў цябе над народамі а над каралеўствамі, выкараняць а разбураць, губіць а ськідаць, будаваць а садзіць».

Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see a [c]branch of an almond tree.”

І было слова СПАДАРОВА да мяне, кажучы: «Ярэма, што бачыш ты?» І я сказаў: «Пруток ізь міндальнага дзерва я бачу».

Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am [d]ready to perform My word.”

Тады сказаў СПАДАР імне: «Ты добра бачыў, бо Я чукавы да слова Свайго, каб выпаўніць гэта».

And the word of the Lord came to me the second time, saying, “What do you see?” And I said, “I see a boiling pot, and it is facing away from the north.”

І было слова СПАДАРОВА да мяне ўдругава, кажучы: «Што ты бачыш?» І я сказаў: «Бачу кіпячы гаршчок, зьвернены на поўнач».

Then the Lord said to me: “Out of the north calamity shall break forth On all the inhabitants of the land.

І сказаў СПАДАР імне: «З поўначы закіпіць бяда на ўсіх жыхараў гэтае зямлі;

For behold, I am calling All the families of the kingdoms of the north,” says the Lord; “They shall come and each one set his throne At the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, Against all its walls all around, And against all the cities of Judah.

Бо гля, Я гукаю ўсі радзімы паўночных каралеўстваў, — агаласіў СПАДАР, — і прыйдуць яны, і пастановяць кажны пасад свой ля ўходу брамаў Ерузалімскіх, і на ўсіх сьценах яго навокал, і ля ўсіх местаў юдэйскіх.

I will utter My judgments Against them concerning all their wickedness, Because they have forsaken Me, Burned incense to other gods, And worshiped the works of their own hands.

І я выдам суд Свой на іх за ўсі нягоднасьці іхныя, што пакінулі Мяне, і кадзілі багом іншым, і кланяліся вырабам рук сваіх.

“Therefore prepare yourself and arise, And speak to them all that I command you. Do not be dismayed before their faces, Lest I dismay you before them.

А ты паперажы сьцёгны свае, устань і скажы ім усе, што Я табе расказую; не лякайся відаў іхных, каб Я не зьлякаў цябе перад імі.

For behold, I have made you this day A fortified city and an iron pillar, And bronze walls against the whole land — Against the kings of Judah, Against its princes, Against its priests, And against the people of the land.

А Я вось, Я пастанавіў цябе сядні местам умацаваным, зялезным стаўпом а мядзянымі сьценамі супроці ўсяе зямлі, супроці каралёў юдэйскіх, супроці князёў яе, супроці сьвятароў яе й супроці люду зямлі.

They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you,” says the Lord, “to deliver you.”

Яны будуць ваяваць із табою, але не перамогуць цябе, бо з табою Я, каб выбаўляць цябе», — агалашае СПАДАР.
