Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

Паўла, воляю Божаю пагуканы апостал Ісуса Хрыста, а Сосьфен брат,

To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are [a]sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

Царкве Божай, што ў Карынце, пасьвячаным у Хрысту Ісусу, пагуканым сьвятым, з усімі, што гукаюць імя Спадара нашага Ісуса Хрыста на кажным месцу, у іх і ў нас:

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Ласка вам а супакой ад Бога, Айца нашага, а Спадара Ісуса Хрыста.

I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus,

Дзякую Богу свайму заўсёды за вас узглядам ласкі Божае, данае вам у Ісусу Хрысту,

that you were enriched in everything by Him in all [b]utterance and all knowledge,

Што ўсім вы забагацелі ў Ім, усялякім словам і ўсялякім веданьням, —

even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed [c]in you,

Бо сьветчаньне Хрыстова ўмацавалася ў вас, —

so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Так што вы ня маеце нястачы ні ў якім дару, чакаючы зьяўленьня Спадара нашага Ісуса Хрыста,

who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Каторы і ўмацуе вас аж да канца быць бязьвіннымі на дзень Спадара нашага Ісуса Хрыста.

God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Верны Бог, Каторым вы пагуканыя да ўзаем’я Сына Ягонага Ісуса Хрыста, Спадара нашага.

Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all [d]speak the same thing, and that there be no [e]divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Вось жа малю вас, браты, імям Спадара нашага Ісуса Хрыста, каб усі вы гукалі адно, і ня было меж вас падзелаў, але каб вы супоўна задзіночыліся ў тэй самай думцы і ў тым самым паглядзе.

For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are [f]contentions among you.

Бо ад Хлоіных стала імне ведама, браты мае, праз вас, што сьпярэчкі ё памеж вас.

Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.”

Я гукаю праз тое, што кажны з вас кажа: «Я запраўды Паўлаў», а «Я Аполосаў», а «Я Кіфін», а «Я Хрыстоў».

Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

Нягож Хрыстос падзяліўся? альбо Паўла быў укрыжаваны за вас? альбо ў імя Паўлы вы хрысьціліся?

I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,

Дзякую Богу, што нікога з вас ня хрысьціў, апрача Крыспа а Ґая,

lest anyone should say that I had baptized in my own name.

Што ніхто ня можа сказаць, што я хрысьціў у імя свае собскае.

Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas. Besides, I do not know whether I baptized any other.

Але, я хрысьціў і дом Сьцепаноў; але балей ня ведаю, ці хрысьціў каго іншага.

For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.

Бо Хрыстос не паслаў мяне хрысьціць, але абяшчаць дабравесьць, ня ў мудрасьці слова, каб ня быў змарнаваны крыж Хрыстоў.

For the [g]message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Бо слова праз крыж гінучым ё дурніна, але нам спасаным — сіла Божая.

For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”

Бо напісана: «Загублю мудрасьць мудрыцоў, а розум разумных адхіну».

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the [h]disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Ідзе мудрэц? ідзе кніжнік? ідзе сьпярэчнік гэтага веку? Ці не абярнуў Бог мудрасьць гэтага сьвету ў дурноту?

For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

Бо як сьвет мудрасьцяй не пазнаў Бога ў мудрасьці Божай, зьлюб Богу было дурнотаю абяшчаньня спасьці вернікаў.

For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom;

Бо Жыды вымагаюць знакоў, а Грэкі шукаюць мудрасьці;

but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a [i]stumbling block and to the [j]Greeks foolishness,

Мы ж абяшчаем укрыжаванага Хрыста, Жыдом спадмана, а народам дурнота,

but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

Але пагуканым, Жыдом і Грэкам, Хрыста, моц Божую а мудрасьць Божую;

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Бо дурнота Божая мудрэйшая за людзёў, а млявае ў Бога дужшае за людзёў.

For [k]you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many [l]noble, are called.

Разважча, браты, хто вы пагуканыя, што ня шмат мудрых подле цела, ня шмат дужых, ня шмат дабрародных;

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;

Бо Бог абраў дурноту гэтага сьвету, каб засароміць мудрых, і Бог абраў млявае гэтага сьвету, каб засароміць дужасьць;

and the [m]base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,

І нізкое сьвету, і пагрэбаваных абраў Бог, і няіснуючае, каб існуючае зьнішчыць, —

that no flesh should glory in His presence.

Так, каб не хвалілася перад Богам ніякае цела.

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God — and righteousness and sanctification and redemption —

Ад Яго й вы ў Хрысту Ісусу, Каторы стаў нам мудрасьцю ад Бога, як і справядлівасьцю а пасьвячэньням а адкупленьням,

that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”

Як напісана: «Хто хваліцца, Спадаром хваліся».
