Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

Павел, воляй Божай пакліканы быць апосталам Езуса Хрыста, і брат Састэн

To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are [a]sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

да Касцёла Божага ў Карынце, да асвячаных у Хрысце Езусе, пакліканых да святасці разам з усімі, хто ў кожным месцы заклікае імя Пана нашага Езуса Хрыста, іхняга і нашага.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Ласка вам і спакой ад Бога, Айца нашага, і Пана Езуса Хрыста.

I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus,

Заўсёды дзякую Богу майму за вас дзеля ласкі Божай, дадзенай вам у Хрысце Езусе.

that you were enriched in everything by Him in all [b]utterance and all knowledge,

Бо ў Ім вы ўзбагаціліся ўсім, усялякім словам і ўсялякім пазнаннем.

even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed [c]in you,

Хрыстовае сведчанне так умацавалася ў вас,

so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,

што вы не маеце нястачы ні ў якім дары, чакаючы аб’яўлення Пана нашага Езуса Хрыста.

who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ён таксама ўмацуе вас да канца, каб вы былі бязвіннымі ў дзень Пана нашага Езуса Хрыста.

God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Верны ёсць Бог, які паклікаў вас да еднасці з Ягоным Сынам, Езусам Хрыстом, Панам нашым.

Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all [d]speak the same thing, and that there be no [e]divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Заклікаю вас, браты, дзеля імя нашага Пана Езуса Хрыста, каб усе вы гаварылі адно і тое ж і каб не было паміж вамі расколу, але каб мелі еднасць у думках і пазнанні.

For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are [f]contentions among you.

Бо ад людзей Хлоі я даведаўся, браты мае, што ўзнікаюць паміж вамі спрэчкі.

Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.”

Я ж паўтараю тое, што кожны з вас кажа: «Я — Паўла», «Я — Апалоса», «Я — Кефаса», «А я — Хрыста».

Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

Хіба падзяліўся Хрыстус? Хіба Павел быў укрыжаваны за вас, або ці ў імя Паўла вы былі ахрышчаныя?

I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,

Дзякую Богу, што я нікога з вас не ахрысціў, апрача Крыспа і Гая,

lest anyone should say that I had baptized in my own name.

каб не сказаў хто, што ў маё імя быў ахрышчаны.

Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas. Besides, I do not know whether I baptized any other.

Ахрысціў я таксама дом Стэфана, а ці ахрысціў яшчэ каго, не ведаю.

For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.

Хрыстус паслаў мяне не хрысціць, але абвяшчаць Евангелле, і не мудрасцю слова, каб не зрабіць марным Хрыстовага крыжа.

For the [g]message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Для тых, хто гіне, слова аб крыжы — гэта глупства, але для нас, якія збаўляемся, — гэта моц Божая.

For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”

Бо напісана: «Я знішчу мудрасць мудрацоў і адкіну розум разумных».

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the [h]disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Дзе мудрэц? Дзе кніжнік? Дзе даследчык гэтага веку? Ці не ператварыў Бог мудрасць свету ў глупства?

For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

Паколькі свет сваёю мудрасцю не пазнаў Бога ў мудрасці Божай, спадабалася Богу праз глупства прапаведавання збавіць веруючых.

For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom;

Юдэі патрабуюць знакаў, а грэкі шукаюць мудрасці.

but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a [i]stumbling block and to the [j]Greeks foolishness,

Мы ж абвяшчаем Хрыста ўкрыжаванага, які для юдэяў — згаршэнне, для язычнікаў — глупства,

but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

а для тых, хто пакліканы, юдэяў і грэкаў, Ён — Хрыстус, Божая моц і Божая мудрасць.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Бо неразумнае ў Бога разумнейшае за людзей, а слабое ў Бога мацнейшае за людзей.

For [k]you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many [l]noble, are called.

Паглядзіце, браты, на пакліканне вашае. Няшмат сярод вас мудрых паводле цела, няшмат моцных, няшмат шляхетнага паходжання.

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;

Але Бог выбраў неразумнае свету, каб асароміць мудрых, і слабое свету выбраў Бог, каб асароміць моцных;

and the [m]base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,

і бязроднае свету, і пагарджанае, і тое, чаго няма, выбраў Бог, каб знішчыць існае,

that no flesh should glory in His presence.

каб ніякае цела не выхвалялася перад Богам.

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God — and righteousness and sanctification and redemption —

Праз Яго і вы існуеце ў Хрысце Езусе, які стаў для нас мудрасцю ад Бога і справядлівасцю, і асвячэннем, і адкупленнем,

that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”

каб было, як напісана: «Хто хваліцца, няхай хваліцца ў Пану».
